We have always been supporters of Pratt's but they have seriously let us and all their animals…read moredown! My fiancé had a ranch about 20 years ago and used to go to Pratt's all the time to buy animals for his ranch and sell his babies to Pratt's. There was a good old time family vibe then. They educated people about the animals they purchased and were very helpful. Now, my fiancé and I have a ranch together and we were starting from scratch. We went to Pratt's to get the same camaraderie and care that he had from Pratt's in the past. But we had found out the hard way that it is absolutely nothing like it used to be! Their animals are always sick and stressed and in bad living conditions. All of the chickens we have purchased from there were sick with a very contagious virus. They have respiratory distress and very lethargic and their eyes swell up and fill with puss. We gave them antibiotics but that did not help them. Every single chicken we bought from there had died. And the worst part is it spreads to the rest of our flock. Once the flock is infected you cannot get rid of it. U literally have to start fresh with healthy chickens. My fiancé had told Oscar the manager about this issue. At first he was understanding and willing to replace the chickens. Once we sent him pictures of the birds that perished he changed his tone and said "Why are you the only ones with birds dying?" We have stopped buying chickens from there but have continued to buy feed from there. We can't help but to go and look at all the animals and unfortunately they are always in poor living conditions and clearly very sick and even dead birds in the cages. The staff they have there at this point are very unhelpful and uneducated about the product they sell and uneducated about the animals they sell! We ask them a question about an animal and they look at us like we have a third eye growing out of our heads! They walk away without answering our questions or even getting our feed for us. We are out so much money from what we have bought from there and all the loss we have had from the sick chickens infecting the rest of our flock and they died. We had bought a female goat that was supposedly pregnant and they just wanted to get rid of her before she gave birth... well she wasn't pregnant. Then We had bought another female goat from them against our better judgment because she looked miserable and we wanted a companion for our first goat but She was "Not for sale" due to being sick... We said we want her to give her a fighting chance. She coughs and sneezes and has discharge from her lady parts. Pratt's just does not care about the health and well being of their animals! We will never purchase any animals from them again!! It's such a shame that these animals have to suffer!!

We took her to the exotic bird vet place, and got antibiotics for her. 375.00 later. So 300 for the bird, then the day after another 375.00 Oh, and it gets better, even though we kept her in seclusion from the other animals some of my 300 chickens started dropping dead with swollen eyes. As of right now I am down around 100 hens, and 6 roosters. I can't fill the orders for eggs that I have building up. Looking into talking with a lawyer about this. Because they sold me a bad peahen, I am out literally 1000's of dollars.

Ricky Lee's Dog Houses - Dog house appears fine, yet closer inspection reveals various material deficiencies to seriously considering prior to purchase.

Also use of cheap linoleum was ripped out by my dogs first week. Dogs also liked to chew roof edges. I do like the sliding doors and asphalt shingle roof. Good ideas, but plywood floor vs. OSB should be used. Waterproof flooring material securely fastened be better than linoleum. Pine foundation will rot quickly, many better materials could be used. A fun and costly idea, but many deficiencies makes me call this decision a regretful one.

First of all, they do not take phone calls. Only email or text. Communication has been horrible to say the least. When the 1st of June came around, we had no dog house. After several attempts to contact them, they finally replied and said they had a death in the family. I understand that, but we were really counting on the the dog house for our needs...not having it required us to find a kennel and cost us a significant amount of additional money. Then, after we were told we would receive shipping info in a few days...10 days went by with no updates. It took me threatening to dispute the transaction with PayPal for her to finally reply to us. She told my wife, that she was sending her best delivery guy...and would have him set the dog house up and show us how to operate the heating and air conditioning. When we finally got a call from the shipper to set up a date, we asked about the set up she mentioned. He said that he was just a shipper and one guy, that he was only delivering it and nothing more. We attempted to contact the seller again for 4 days with no answer. I had to return to work overseas, on the 19th, and the dog house is way to big for my wife and two younger kids to try and move to the back yard. They just dropped it off into the garage. So even though it was delivered, 21 days late, it still is not in use, and I am still paying for a kennel. I have try and hire some random guys to move it for my wife. Only time will tell about the actual product. However, I would definitely not recommend them. Broken promises and atrocious customer service warrant the 1 star.

A great place to bring children for an inexpensive outing…read more I do not visit The Ocean Floor often. But when I do they have what I need. Toda I needed turtle food. That means you get stuck with a wordy review. March 12, 2026, mid day, I returned to my home. Two neighbors, who rarely communicate looked confused. We live in a condo complex, many things beside dry leaves and plastic bags find their way into our corner of the place. That day iteas a red eared slider turtle. You know them, the quarter sized petlets, millions accidentally killed by hopeful turtle owners. This one was 8 inches long and six inches across. Plus, very healthy and undamaged. By evening I knew who lost the turtle. The woman with the jungle patio and cage of happy parakeets. This made perfect sense. This water turtle escaped in November, 2025, finding it's way home in March, 2026. We have been fully occupied with urgent stuff. The neighbor is not home much. I got a container at the thrift store, I got the ultimatum from Sweet D - the turtle must go home TODAY. Turtle food at The Ocean Floor is in the rear near the customer service counter. I got a little bag of floating bits for $5. The turtle was ravenous. The turtle is home. Several people are happy er. Yay!

The staff handled it quickly and professionally, and I received store credit with zero hassle. That kind of customer service goes a long way, especially in a hobby where good support matters. I'm already looking forward to coming back soon to pick up some fancy shrimp. Great experience all around.

Yup, went back for a quick cat food restock. A few cans of this, a few cans of that, nothing…read moredramatic. . Except something felt... off at the register. I never get receipts (BPA life, I'm trying not to absorb chemicals with my purchases), but this time I asked for it. Good instinct, apparently. Because somehow five cans turned into six on the receipt. A literal phantom can. Didn't grab it, didn't see it, still paid for it. And then, bonus feature, I was also signed up for autoship on those same cans. Not my existing autoship (which I already have for litter and her regular food), but these random, one-off "treat" cans I grab in-store. The whole point of buying those in person is because they're not part of her regular rotation. So why are they being quietly added to a subscription like I consented to that? Thankfully, I caught the subscription before my house turned into a recurring shipment hub of confusion. As for the extra can, I did consider making a stink. Instead, I chose inner peace and said, "it'll come back to me somehow." We'll see. But yeah... we've officially entered my BPA receipt era, because what are we doing here? Charging for items that don't exist and signing people up for subscriptions without saying a single word is bold. It's not even convenient anymore if I have to double-check everything or ask to see the screen before I pay just to make sure I'm not getting charged for imaginary items. They do have what I need in a pinch, but the selection is mid at best, and now I'm watching the register like a hawk every time.
