A Pretty Good Bagel Shop, But Not Quite Worth the Hype... After hearing so many people rave about Starship Bagel, namely my husband, we decided to finally give it a try -- and we really went out of our way to do it. We drove about 40 minutes to get there, and once we arrived, we had to park pretty far away because there was basically no parking anywhere close. By the time we made the long walk and finally got in line, we were definitely hoping the experience would match all the hype. The bagels were fresh with a nice chew, and the flavors were decent. Everything we tried was perfectly fine, just not the standout, "you have to go here" level we kept hearing about. We didn't get any of their sandwiches, just bagels and smear. Garlic, salt and everything. None were anything to write home about. What really threw the experience off, though, was when another customer grabbed my order off the counter thinking it was theirs, thumbed through my food, and then just set it back down. When I pointed it out, the worker didn't seem to care at all -- no apology, no remake, nothing. It definitely took away from the overall visit. In the end, it was an okay spot with some good qualities, but between the long drive, the parking situation, and that awkward moment with my order, it just didn't feel worth the hype. Probably fine if you're already in the area, but not something I'd go out of my way for again.

Truly the best bagels I've ever had--definitely lives up to the hype! The best combo was pretzel bagel with honey almond cream cheese. The basil cream was a close second, so so savory and flavorful! The pickled jalapeño cream cheese was also good, but didn't taste too pickled. I would recommend taking the dart or walking to this location since parking is difficult. There is also only outdoor seating, but the area is very nice!

Average bagel. Don't know what all the hype is about. The actual bagel was fine, online ordering a lot of items were sold out but when you got there it seemed they had them. Got the Supernova - barely any lox in it - I could hardly even see it, looked like all tomato. Did the Millennium Falcon as well, the sprouts smelled foisty. Not fussed about coming back. Nice storefront. Difficult street parking downtown.

Nikki and Pat are absolutely the best! Great recommendations and super friendly! A real NY feel with a few tables to sit and eat outside! Great iced latte and bagels! And a morning special from 7-8am (bagel and coffee for $5)

We came here on a weekend morning and there was a steady line of customers. They do the orders in the order they are made, and so even if you have a simple bagel, your order might take longer behind someone ordering 10 sandwiches, which is what happened to me. I ordered the everything bagel with chive cream cheese and it had so much flavor. The bagel had so many spices on it and it was the perfect everything bagel. It was soft on the inside and somewhat crunchy on the outside. I asked how the olive cream cheese was and she let me Sample it, which was pretty good overall as well - tasted like olives mixed in with cream cheese. My partner from New York said it was pretty good for a bagel in Texas. Overall this place is solid and there are about 4-5 small tables in front of the stand (there is no indoor seating). Would recommend this place, which seems to be a small chain around at least the Dallas, Texas area.

I've been to New York and I've had their bagels and it's one of the perks about living in New York to have great bagels, even from a gas stations. Haven't said that, I tried to find the best bagel, and it's not that easy. Tried a highly rated place. And it was good, maybe very good. But it was being held back, somehow by the culinary editing. The best bagel I ever ate in my life, came from a little hole in the wall in front of the legendary pizzeria Di Fara's in Brooklin. It was called Bagel Hole. And it was a Jewish orthodox establishment. Small plain bagel. Kind of sad looking. Plain cream cheese Religious experience. You never know when something's gonna surprise you. About Starship Bagels. They won a blind test at Bagel Fest against New York bagels. That's a great accomplishment. These guys have different locations. I don't know if that affects anything. The bagels look great. The toppings on top of the Everything bagel were the best I've ever had. And their signature bagel, the millennial falcon is an awesome creation. Their fermented jalapeño cream cheese is probably the go to. But with bagels, and this is important, different schmears go best with different bagels. And it's a personal trial and error thing. Although there are established classics. Starship bagels has all the ingredients to be great. I liked their lox bagel better than the one in New York. That's high praise. And the millennial falcon is a beauty. But I don't know if it is because we got them toasted. I'll try them untoasted next time. But the bagels were a bit too chewy kinda like when you put something in the microwave for too long. Still the best bagels I've had in Texas! Worth the trip

Pro-tip: Starship is accessible by many downtown hotels. Plan time for a morning run or stroll, on your way to fuel up with a loaded bagel. Service: quick, friendly, and easy Ambiance: right in the park of the Giant Eyeball Food: The super nova lox was great! Stacked with lox, cucumbers, red onion, capers, tomatoes, and of course the schmear (cream cheese). Toasting adds an extra texture to the mix!

This is a solid walk up and order bagel joint. Ignore the folks on here that are made it won best bagel in the US but it didn't change their life when they had it- it's a bagel place let's try not to be pricks here. Solid bagel would recommends the lox or millennial falcon. Good assortment of bagels and schmears. This is a really solid place having the best bagel in US award recently makes it really hard to hold up to expectations but if you're hungry and want this type of food I don't think you would be disappointed if holding realistic view. Coffee wasn't anything crazy to write home about but my group seemed to like the lattes

The location can be a tad bit confusing as it's not directly off of a main street. It's located near the Woolworth and tucked in the adorable cobblestone road. The bagels and spreads were delicious, and the service was fast which we appreciated compared to other bagel shops with longer wait times! They did have a decent amount of sold out bagels on a Saturday morning by 10am, so be sure to order early as it's clearly a hot commodity for a multitude of great reasons.

A little hidden gem in Downtown Dallas. They have a special from 7-8 for a $5 bagel and drink which is a great deal! They had a lot of options to choose from and the service was really fast. I would recommend this place

This Dallas-based bagel shop truly earned its recent "Best Bagels" win, beating out even some of the most well-known spots in New York. The line is long, but don't let that scare you away -- it moves quickly and the wait is worth it. My toasted bagel was perfectly done, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They also have a great happy hour, which is a fun bonus in the middle of downtown. Guy Fieri tried Starship bagel before, and I ordered the same thing he tried -- and it absolutely did not disappoint. The shop sits in the heart of downtown Dallas, so parking can be a bit challenging, but the location is unbeatable. It's right next to the iconic Dallas Eyeball Sculpture and steps away from major shopping destinations like Forty Five Ten, the original Neiman Marcus, and Traffic LA. A must-visit for any bagel lover in the city.

I would move here JUST for these bagels!! Literally stumbled across you ladies during a morning store run/search for coffee and food when we saw increasingly more passersby with your bags. We're headed back to try more before we head to the airport. Definitely all love from Columbus, Ohio

Starship Bagel is a downtown Dallas time machine served in a compostable box. Listen, I walked into Starship Bagel expecting another hipster fever dream, another place where they put avocado on everything and call it innovation. But sometimes the universe surprises you with something real, something that cuts through the bullshit and delivers straight to your soul. The garlic bagel arrives like a heavyweight champion entering the ring. Dense, chewy, with that perfect crust that gives way to a tender interior. This isn't some artisanal pretender; this is the real deal, the kind of bagel that would make my grandmother weep tears of joy if she were still around to taste it. And then there's the lox. Christ. That silky, salty embrace of the sea, draped across cream cheese spread with the kind of reverence reserved for religious ceremonies. One bite and I'm transported back to those Sunday mornings in college, sitting across from my Jewish ex girlfriend in her tiny kitchen, learning the sacred ritual of bagel construction from a girl who took this stuff seriously. Her people had perfected this dance centuries before I was even a thought. I thought I was done with lox after we broke up. Thought it would always taste like heartbreak and missed opportunities. But Starship Bagel brought me back to that first revelation, that moment when everything clicked and I understood why an entire culture built Sunday mornings around this perfect combination. The cream cheese isn't some afterthought slapped on by a hungover college kid. It's applied with intention, with respect for the craft. Generous but not reckless. They understand the architecture here, the delicate balance between base and topping that makes or breaks the whole experience. Sure, Starship might have a trendy name and a Instagram worthy presentation, but underneath all that, they get it. They respect the fundamentals. In a city where every corner deli thinks they can phone it in, where mediocrity masquerades as authenticity to uncultured white moms of Dallas, these cats are doing it right. This is what happens when reverence meets technique. When someone actually gives a damn about getting it perfect instead of just getting it out the door. The result is nothing short of transcendent, a reminder that some combinations are holy, untouchable, and when done right, can bring you right back to who you were before the world got complicated. Five stars. Go. Eat. Remember what it feels like to be surprised by something beautiful!!

We had breakfast in the hotel and our server was helpful, friendly and had a sense of humor. We visited the pool and were surprised that it was not heated. The hotel gym was decent, could use a better (newer) bench but it had the basics. Our room had everything we needed (the bed was quite soft) and a great view of the eye across the street. My first shower would only get warm and not hot so maintenance had to come up and show me a safely button to push which allows the water to get hot. This was after texting with hotel staff (a very helpful option) but surprising that they didn't just tell me about the button and chose to send maintenance. We were in room 852 on the North side of the hotel and overlooking the eye. We came back from dinner around 10 on Saturday night and were kept awake until about 1:30am. I guess Main St is where people choose to drive their cars with the music so loud it feels as though it's in your hotel room. The motorcycles and cars also like to rev their engines.... A LOT. The windows appear to be single pane and they don't keep any noise out at all. Due to the noise level, I would not recommend staying at this hotel.  Being on the 8th floor and feeling like I was in the cars that were driving on main st and blaring music 2 nights in a row was incredibly disappointing.  If this was a 2 star hotel, okay.  That is not the case.  Upgrade the windows to double or triple pane.  Your location is great, service was friendly and efficient, but one generally wants to sleep at night and that is not possible at your hotel. We even asked the front desk on our second morning if we should change rooms and were told Sunday nights were quiet. I should have listened to my gut as our Sunday night was not quiet. Although the amount of cars & motorcycles wasn't as much as on Saturday, we still heard several cars with music blaring or motorcycles reviving their engines until around 1am. This was the beginning of a long overdue vacation and birthday celebration and it did not get started on the right foot unfortunately.
