He was friendly, helpful and wanted to make the move as easy as possible for me. I honestly believe he was an Angel sent from the Lord. We agreed on a price and a day. He maintained communication with me to ensure things were on schedule. The day of the move he arrived with his truck and large trailer. He had one other man with him to move my two bed two bath apartment. They worked tirelessly for six and a half hours loading and unloading my belongings. Those men did a great job moving antique dressers, bookshelves tables, many with glass enclosures and doors. They were careful with all my boxes and items. The "owner" will say she didn't know there was a 2 hr minimum. His movers that he hired, to put in my place DID know there was a 2 hr minimum and still asked the girl who opened the door to do most of it, then, they grabbed her butt. I made this move as easy as possible. I locked the cats away, took the drawers from one of the dressers down. They had 4 things to move and I asked (with the 2 hr minimum) to bring down a piece of glass and a filing cabinet, which they assured me they would do and they did not. They left all the dresser drawers in the old apartment as well as the couch cushions and everything else they were supposed to move. I'm concerned they know where I live and would never let them near a place with children. Even after I blocked the phone number of the guy who sexually harassed and assaulted, he then found a new phone number to text from. Completely inappropriate and disgusting, didn't Actually do the move and the owner is taking ZERO responsibility. He put these predators in my house with a single female, his employees tried to take advantage of another female by herself in several ways and then tried to blame someone else when the people he employs KNOW there's a 2 hr minimum and tried to con someone else into doing it.

They handled all of it, no problems. They were incredibly communicative and careful with everything they moved. And when we got our quote, they were incredibly thorough. They quoted 5 hours and we came in at 5 hours. Moving is stressful. But Einstein, Jamar and Sam made it easy. I can't recommend them enough. And as my wife said, it was successful, because no one cried.

They didn't bring an appliance dolly, and I SPECIFICALLY told them to be careful with the refrigerator so as not to tear the flooring -- and then they tore up the flooring in our brand new home. They did pay our repair person to fix this but there's no reason they should not have had the proper equipment to move the refrigator as it was on our inventory. We then found a dent in the door of said brand new refrigerator. We then discovered the master bedroom dressor is coming apart, and the drawers no longer work because of this. Also a brand new piece of furniture. They didn't handle things with care. They were in a hurry to get to their next job that afternoon, and quality suffered. The teams in both cities were excellent and very hard working (despite the summer heat). I can't leave a review without mentioning two people that stand out and should be acknowledged. First was our sales person Eric. From the moment we met he eluded a confidence about ACE that was true. He made the negations of the quote painless. Eric was kind, knowledgeable and very easy to get along with and a great asset to ACE. But as a consumer you have to remember your sales person will not be there on your move day (although I forgot to mention how Eric was very quick to answer all my texts and phone calls throughout the entire process and time changes!) So next acknowledgment goes to our Driver Phil! Wow! What a smart efficient team leader that made the move so easy! The negative, however, was in the loading and transportation (I have another review for the unloading at the Ace, San Jose page). The movers were polite and promptly did all the work. Only one of them, however, spoke English, so all instructions had to come through him. I was originally informed that the big truck that would haul our stuff to California would come to our residence. Instead they sent a smaller truck that would then deliver our belongings to a bigger truck. In the process all furniture would be unpacked and then packed again, which I was trying to avoid.

One of the movers was disrespectful and lazy. I had to confront him and tell him that I noticed he wasn't doing much and was actively wasting time. I had to ask him to do his job which was uncomfortable. The company convinced me that I needed 3 movers, however, only 2 of them actually did work so I paid for the 3rd for no reason. They damaged my furniture. Honestly a terrible experience and I would never recommend this company to anyone.
