The receptionist was friendly and helpful and welcomed my highly trained service dog. She helped me find a room on the first floor near an exit, so he could do his business easily. The room was clean and smelled good unlike some hotels. Also, the furniture and decor were modern. I noticed they had a seasonal outdoor pool, which is always a welcome treat and preferred, because who wants to go swimming inside without sun and reeking of chlorine? Lastly, the continental breakfast the next morning was the best I've ever had! Seriously-- They had made-to-order Belgian waffles, mini omelettes with onions and bell peppers, sausage patties, bacon, cheddar and Swiss cheese, bagels, cereal options, fresh fruit, juice, and coffee. I made a few trips to the buffet and grabbed some sausage for the road for my dog. I appreciated that there was an attendant at the breakfast station keeping everything both clean and well-stocked. If I'm ever in the area again, I most definitely will be back!

I was jolted awake and terrified that someone was trying to get into my room while I was sleeping. The front desk worker (who was also the person who checked me in) knocked on my door and only asked how long *I* had been there and then left, no apologies or anything. Then they called my room and asked for my name, clearly showing that they had no idea who I was or any record of me, even though I made this reservation months in advance. All confidence in this establishment was lost and I had to pay a large amount to stay at another hotel that same night. No one came to check on me or apologize after the incident, and when I left I was understanding that mistakes happen, but when I asked for a full refund, they wouldn't give me a full refund only for the second night. So they will just take your money and do not care about you or your belongings.

Nothing bad did happen to us, but we couldn't get out of there fast enough in the morning. Like most budget motels, it smells like stale cigarettes and mold. The hallways are dimly lit, probably to disguise the state of the carpets. Our room only faintly smelled of cigarettes and mold. So, we felt lucky on that front. There was no refrigerator. The manager was EXTREMELY friendly, and she actually brought us a mini-fridge. We were so touched by that, but the fridge didn't work.

It was a comfortable space and close to everywhere we needed to be yet secluded and private and quiet! The quiet was amazing! Jacuzzi tub was clean. I cleaned it myself before use and was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was. The bed wasn't the best for my back but it was clean and I really can't complain about that. Would definitely book here again!!!

Once inside, I saw there were 5 stalls and 3 sinks. I'd estimate the old building had closer to 20 stalls. Move on to the food. There's a Starbucks and a Shake Shake. The line here was longer than the restroom line. Then I noticed there was seating for less than 20 people. I can tell you there were numerous people who were just as unhappy about the situation as me. So, NYS spent millions on these 'improvements'. Makes no sense. 2023-73

This happened right in front of the Starbucks coffee shop sometimes between noon and 2PM. Few tourists came to help, but the girls from Starbucks were particularly nice and offered us free hot chocolate! We were a bit shaken by the accident and a hot drink served with a smile made a difference. Please extend our thanks to the Starbucks team of Sunday afternoon, in addition to our thanks offered in person.
