Excellent room; very clean and serviced quickly each day. The AC system was a little challenging with no room thermostat.

We booked this hotel 5 months in advance on priceline and when we arrived they said they would not honor it eventhough they kept the money and charged $70 over priceline for the same room we were supposed to get. They would not release it if we paid again eventhough I had confirmed paperwork. Based on the reviews below, it looks like they are doing these type of unethical things at their hotel. read more

This 'motel' should get a negative rating here. Wife had a confirmed two night reservation over the weekend she was attending continuing education at the Chiro college. The hotel cancelled her reservation (text) about 2 pm while she was still attending classes. She didn't find out until she attempted to check in at about 6. No explanation as to why, only she had no room for the 2 nights. Card was charged already - with messages it would be refunded within 14 days. Using text to 'try to contact' a person with a confirmed reservation on the day of the reservation is not acceptable. Someone did not perform their job as they should have. She should have been put up in another hotel at Starlite's expense. Nothing was offered to her for any compensation. Instead of a room for the night she faced a two hour drive one way home and another one in the early hours (5 am) the next day to resume her classes. read more

Great customer service and Manny was right there to answer any questions we had. He even moved the outside table to our area so our group could be together. He also let our older members check out the rooms and pick the one they wanted. He even went out to get us ice from the nearby store. read more

Beware... Called ahead of time to get pricing and reserve a room if possible. Was told a certain price for the single night and left the CC# to reserve the room. Upon arriving at the office, we were essentially called liars by the receptionist who changed our reservation from 2 bedrooms to 1 AND raised the price. Being nowhere else in a 30 mile radius with a room we had to bite the bullet. After 30 minutes of arguing with these unreasonable people and paying extra fees because they only allow ONE person PER king size bed... we talked to the next receptionist whose shift started. He was no help either and said that the rate we were told was a Sunday rate only, which was a lie. The room itself was odd. First glance looked decent. Then you notice all three chairs are literally 100% covered in human fluid stains, debatably clean linens, mold was "taken care of" by simply painting over it in patches, cigarette burns on EVERYTHING (no smoking motel), and flickering lights.... What a horror show and a sorry excuse for a motel. read more

I called Starlite ahead of time when we were on our way to ask if there were vacancies, to ask about the price, and to make sure that dogs were allowed to stay. The receptionist made it seem like it would be $60 for my two dogs and two people, but when we arrived, the bill rang up to $110 because there was a $20 per pet charge. It would have been nice up get a heads up that the pet charge was 60% of the base cost because we probably would not have stayed in such a crappy place for such an expensive price - for example, the days inn would've been $90 total for a real hotel rather than a cheap motel. The room itself was very small, the bed was only a double, and not only were all of the materials basic, but they were crappy. The bathroom also had a weird smell and even though it was supposed to be no smoking, a person was smoking outside of the door and it was seeping into our room while we were sleeping. read more

Even one star is a stretch for this place. This motel was selected mainly for being conveniently close to several wineries in the area that we planned to visit. Will not make that mistake again. First of all, we had to prepay at check-in for the two nights we'd planned to stay. Upon seeing our room, I understand why they did that - we wouldn't have stayed the first night. What was supposed to be a room with a queen-sized bed was a small room with two double beds, no light in the bathroom, one working lamp out of two over the beds, a non-working phone, and cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. I guess they figured if they sprayed enough lemon scented air freshener, your eyes would be watering so bad you'd be blind. There was a choice of six appliances to use: Microwave, fridge, TV, clock radio, coffee maker and desk lamp. You had to determine which three or four out of the six you wanted to use, since there was only one six-plug outlet which had scorch marks on two of the outlets so the plugs simply fell out of those. If you need a reason to drink at several local wineries, one night here would do it. read more

The place was gross. I told them when i booked it that we had 3 people, and when I go there, there charged me 15 more dollars. They only take cash and they collect sales tax. Hmmm. Wonder where that went. The air conditioner broke. We had no shower that worked. That was broke too. They sent us across the parking lot for a shower. It was infested with bees nests and bees flying all around outside our door. And there was no free breakfast. Just a nightmare. All we asked, was for partial refund. And they refused. The 85 dollars a night ending up costing 105 with tax and the 15 dollar charge. The place is a dump. read more

The Starlite does not even deserve one star, it is by far the absolute worse place I have ever been. The room is filthy, I was terrified to catch something! The staff was rude and while I was showering one of the male staff members kept walking by the bathroom window!!!! The air conditioner was broke and held together with duck tape, there was something odd on the walls (hate to think of what it could be) and the 2 chairs were so stained I wouldn't let my dog sit on it. They should be shut down and not allowed to do business. read more

I booked a room at this motel for a work related trip that I was informed about on short notice. It was the only room available in Seneca Falls for that weekend. All they had left was a room with a jacuzzi, which cost more than their average room but I took it because I needed a room. HOWEVER, I made sure initially and when calling back to confirm the reservation, that the front desk staff knew I preferred a less expensive room and before I checked in, they were able to rent the jacuzzi room to someone else and assign me a less expensive room, which made me very happy. The room I got was clean, bed/bedding was fine in every way, working tv, free wifi, phone, fridge, AC, bathroom spotless and functional. The front desk did call the room shortly after I checked in to see if I needed anything. I was very tired and got a full 9 hours of peaceful, uninterrupted sleep in that room. It is not the most magnificent hotel on the planet. But everything was clean and functional and the price was reasonable. The location was convenient. The manager actually arranged low cost transportation for me to my nearby meeting venue the next morning as I had no car. I was pleased with this facility and would stay there again if doing business in the area and would recommend it to those with modest budgets. It is managed by nice people who bend over backwards to accommodate the guests. This is an above average motel, more than adequate, and very clean, with great service. If you have special need, let them know. read more

Please tread carefully when booking at this less-than-amenable motel. We made reservations with this motel in a sparsely populated area for a recent fishing tournament where we would be travelling FAR out of our home state, through Orbitz. Upon arrival to this shabby, unattractive SMALL motel, we were informed by an unapologetic and unhelpful owner that we had NO accomodations reserved and there was nothing they could do about it...mind you that I have all paperwork in my hand from Orbitz dated 2 days ago,confirming my reservation. Imagine my panic!! Trying my best to keep composure and find out where the communication disconnect happened, this employee flat out lied and told me that they had received a call to cancel our reservation(NEVER happened!). One saving grace is that Orbitz really went over and above to try to help us out with this situation, they found us a MUCH nicer Inn which we were welcomed into and found the accomodations more comfortable (and clean) anyway. This is the first and ONLY time we have had issues with reservations, and I beleive the reason they cancelled us was because they knew they could sell their rooms at their higher rate because of all the other Anglers attending the tournament in town--- super shiestey !! read more
