This was our first stop on a wine tour. While it was a good pick and the property is beautiful, we wish that the guide for our wine testing was a little bit more informative. We were told to pick out our five wines and then the guide would tell us about them, but we wanted to know that information upfront to help us pick the wines and understand their flavors better before picking. we think the guide was new, so there were no real issues. I did end up buying a bottle of gentleman which was super super sweet which is what I go for.

I came here the first week of October because I had family in town and wanted to visit some of the wineries along the finger Lakes. We also wanted to take in the fall foliage and the beautiful day. I decided to come to this winery because it is in Seneca Lake and you can dine here as well as have a wine tasting. The castle is gorgeous and it's on the national historic Registry. There's plenty of parking. And two restaurants and a bar. You can dine indoor or outdoor at the formal restaurant Edgars. There's also a spa as well as two grand halls for formal events such as weddings. We saw two weddings while we were there that day. One of the weddings was outdoor on the lawn the other wedding I'm not sure but we did see the cocktail hour after the ceremony on the other side of the castle. I chose their preset tasting with cheese which was really good the wines from upstate New York are really crisp and refreshing. I would definitely come back to this location possibly for a spa day and dinner and wine tasting. The customer service was excellent and it was a great day

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. First stop on our weekend trip to Seneca Lake in Finger Lakes. We came in when it was already dark and didn't really get to view the castle. We expect to come back and look around. Enjoyed the Pinot Noir so much I'm bringing some home!!

Haven't stayed overnight here; just a review of the tasting. Such a beautiful place! The tasting spot isn't anything special - just at a bar inside their gift shop - but you can step outside and take in the breathtaking views of Seneca Lake. There are a few tables and benches outside for you to just sit down and take it all in. Enjoyed the wine and hard ciders here, esp the Dry Riesling, "Red," and Mabel's Kinfolk hard cider. They had some cheese pairing option but was en route to dinner so not able to try. Will definitely return!

We really enjoyed our stay at Belhurst this past week. We stayed in "The Study" and really loved the room. We had drinks several times in Stonecutters and the staff there is amazing. The grounds are lovely and we had a very good wine tasting with an extremely knowledgeable employee. Actually, all the staff were really nice. If you are looking for unique place to stay, I do recommend Belhurst. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that the beds could use some updating (especially if you have a bad back).

Wow! What an amazing time hanging around the Belhurst Castle was for us and could be for you too! We didn't come for the wine tasting, which is probably the biggest draw, but eating here, interacting with the other patrons and walking the grounds proved to be an EPIC TIME nonetheless! There are the two restaurants, Edgar's and Stonecutters. Edgar's is a steak house and was fully booked up, however we did get a couple glasses of good wine at the bar and hung out around their huge fireplace for a bit. Stonecutters had tables open, and I had maybe the best seafood chowder served in a toasted bread bowl that man has ever known (these statement have been evaluated and found to be accurate by the International Bread Bowl Jurists Organization). There are rooms to rent here that range from $195 a night to the master suit in the castle's tower at about $500 a night. This place sounds like a perfect place to have that next group party, romantic getaway or even solo inspirational trip to sequester yourself within Behurst's charm in order to write that great American novel. Speaking of novels, our specific time had all the hallmarks of a great read, as our evening brought upon us bouts of ADVENTURE, ROMANCE, DRAMA & even MYSTERY: ADVENTURE While waiting for our table, we were drinking wine around the patio fire and we met a lovely couple. She was a vineyard & day spa owner from Napa Valley and he was an old wooden ship refurbisher from Skaneateles. They invited us to join us on their next sailing vessel's maiden voyage once it's fully refurbished. We agreed to strap on our sea legs and join them. ROMANCE We accidentally crashed two celebrations of eternal love (aww, how cute!). One of which, and engagement party between two gay men. We were drawn to this party by their humor, considering their cake had a very specific human body part crafted out of fondant. They let us, and even insisted that we touch the cake (true story). The second of which was a bachelorette party from Buffalo. They let us join them for Drag Queen Bingo (also a true story). DRAMA Drag Queen Bingo didn't quite work out. Little did we all know it's an uber hit, and showing up an hour and a half late and drunk already that there's no chance of you getting in. Plus with CUOMO-19, and all the restrictions that are placed on bar patrons these days... We all moved onto another bar down the street. MYSTERY Somebody farted. A friend of mine in our original group smelled it and started asking, "Did you do it? How about you? Did any of you really pretty bachelorettes do it? No? How about you, Jim B.?" Everyone turned their attention to me and I said, "No. it wasn't me". (It was me.) There you have it. Didn't I tell you it was an EPIC TIME?! Book your trip today.

Room had a mini fridge and microwave. No usb plugs so be sure to bring your own power cubes to plug in devices. Room was overall quiet but we had rowdy teenagers next door that no amount of walls could have blocked the sound. Light came in through the curtains but that's pretty normal when room faces a lighted parking lot. Nice little indoor pool that was just big enough. Pool towels available in the room with the pool. Pool was 3 - 4 feet deep. Workout room had usual equipment and also a filtered water bubbler. Plentiful breakfast with lots of options from scrambled eggs and sausage, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereals, waffles, bagels, etc. Had allergy friendly items like soy milk, oatmeal, udi gluten free muffins, etc. Nice topping area for yogurts or oatmeal including walnuts, granola, dried apricots, chocolate chips, raisins, etc. these details took normal hotel breakfast to the next level. Plenty of seating for breakfast but came crowded and congested the later the hour. Staff was friendly and helpful - especially the woman working her tail off making sure all breakfast items were hot and fresh. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate available in the lobby. Ice maker right by the lobby. We would definitely stay again.

Really want to give this place the benefit of the doubt with a rating of 4/5 but it's just not…read morethere. The place is HEAVILY worn - marks on the walls, stains on the carpet in the hallways, weird bubbling wallpaper, and an out of date decor in the rooms. The main concern was that upon check in there was a brown stain on the bed sheet. We were headed to dinner but the lady at the front desk went up and changed it out. Also to flush ANYTHING you had to hold down the handle. The lights on either side of the bed were out and one would randomly flash. TV had minimal channels and was beat up. To be as transparent as possible, I looked at other Hilton properties nearby in hopes of changing but the avail wasn't there so we roughed it. Positives were a nice shower head despite the discolored shower doors, and they had a peloton bike. For $249 a night, it needs to be better than this. All I will say. Out dated . Mediocre . but passable.

Not sure how this hotel is part of Hilton. Its old, outdated, heavily worn, disgusting and dirty. The ice machine is so gross and dirty. The front fell off when trying to get ice, the floor around it is absolutely filthy with white bath towels (same bath towels that guess use) all around it on the floor as its leaking, does the hotel not own a mop bucket? When I went back to take a pic, some of the towel were removed but still had a few on the floor. There was metal shavings on floor in front of it, not sure where it came from but hope its not in the ice. If they can't keep the easy to reach areas clean, you know the inside must be worse and full of bacteria. We got a bag of ice at the gas station. Don't understand why an out of order sign wasn't on it. The shower had mold and the shower curtain was too long and because of this, it sits in the water and doesn't dry so the bottom half is gross and yellow and still wet from previous guess. The bathroom sink had a leak at some point that didn't get fixed right away as the wood shelves are warped and damaged from the water. Oh course they put the bath towels on the shelves that are damaged so the bottom of the towels had paint chips on them. The mattress' are worn out and old. So uncomfortable that my back and hips are hurting. If your lucky enough to finally fall asleep, the train will wake you up. The fitted sheet was on inside out and the flat sheet was completely tucked under all four corners, not even really made, which is just pure laziness. The thermostat will only run on low fan so you have very little control of the heat/air. The furniture is old, dirty and worn. Should have been replaced years ago. The desk chair is so worn the leather is peeling off. The other chair was so dirty we absolutely was not going to sit in it. We brought our folding chair up to our room to use. The parking lot is small, only open spots to park was the EV parking spots unless you want to park in the back of the hotel and walk around the hotel. Not doing that in the dark. After this, there was no way in hell I'm eating the free continental breakfast with powdered eggs and rubber sausage. So disappointed. I expected a nicer hotel for $140 with one night costing $175. What has happened to Hilton hotels?

The service at check in and check out was nice and efficient. The building and room were in pristine condition, modern and clean. The bed was super comfy. Room was spacious and well appointed. Amenities such as complimentary coffee station and lemon infused water were a plus. The pool and hot tub area is great, especially compared to other similar hotels in the area. The kids had a blast as did the adults! The complimentary breakfast was better than your average continental breakfast and the worker was on top of refilling foods. The price per night was well worth the money. I would definitely return and recommend.

Check in isn't until 3pm but we were able to get our room around 1pm. We got a two queen bed room which was decent sized. Due to covid, no room service or towel changes but we were able to get what we needed at the front desk. Our room had a Keurig coffee maker and small mini fridge. We weren't in the room much but when we were, it was very quiet; didn't here our neighbors or people in the hallways! Service was very friendly and accommodating! When we arrived back late after the wedding, the front desk person offered us water and late check out which we gladly accepted. Breakfast was extensive for hotel breakfast, but your typical holiday inn express breakfast with pancakes, cinnamon buns, eggs and biscuits. A couple of downsides; if you have more than 2 people staying in a room, they charge you for the extra people, even if the room is meant for 4 people! That didn't seem right. The gym was a nice touch but very old. The treadmill was broken while I was there and the elliptical was squeaky, loud and did not seem safe when I tried it out. I was happy to see free weights and mats with a large mirror; this is more than most hotel gyms. The indoor pool area was busy at most hours of the day. Also, if you need to get an Uber back to the hotel late at night, forget it! It takes 15-30 min to get one; just an FYI! Overall, great value for the area! I'd highly recommend staying here if you're in the area!

The woman at the front desk was very nice. She greeted us warmly. I enjoyed the orange water in the lobby. The bed was soft. Now to the gross part. It looked like someone gave someone a haircut in the bathroom. There were small long hairs all over the floor and all over the shower. It was disgusting. In any other circumstance, I would have bolted. However, most hotels in the Finger Lakes area were sold out and they practically were too. They were gouging people since it was Labor Day Weekend. If you ask someone to pay $300 for a Microtel, at minimum, cleanliness is not too much to ask for. I told that to the guy at the desk, he listened, gave me sorry about that platitude and that was it. Thus, the reason for the negative review. I always give people a chance to make it right. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here. It's worth it to drive farther for a nice, clean hotel with staff that care about your experience.
