Called to make a reservation the day of, it was a Wednesday and they were able to accommodate us. We got a room with a queen size bed and it wasn't huge but it was good enough and the bathroom was spacious. The pillows on the bed might be the best pillows I have ever slept on in any hotel, EVER, and I have stayed in many hotels. So fluffy and wonderful. So one thing I have to say: they have coffee downstairs in the "lobby" area 24 hours a day and they also have cookies. Yes, soft, wonderful, delicious cookies. They are enormous and stare you right in the face when you walk in the hotel. You may think you have willpower, but when you are coming back to this hotel after a night of drinking in Geneva, willpower gone. Those cookies were darn delicious. Yes, cookies, plural. They have a pool and a little fitness center too, which we didn't utilize but maybe you will. Their continental breakfast was definitely impressive, for the most part, as long as you didn't intend on eating very healthy. Their hard boiled eggs were bad, two mornings we had continental breakfasts here, both times, the texture just wasn't right. They had oatmeal in a crackpot, which was my go to because it was one of the only healthy options. The toppings they had seemed healthy until you really looked at what it was. There were "almonds" but they were coated in loads of sugar. There was cinnamon sugar and there were also candied fruit. Luckily there were some peanut butter packs and I added that to my oatmeal with a banana and was set. They had make your own waffles, turkey sausage, omelettes, cereal, bagels, muffins and toast. Their coffee wasn't my favorite, but it also wasn't the worst. They had 2% milk, skim and half and half out. I thought the rooms were a tad expensive for what they were, but it was convenient that we didn't have to get a cab to go to the various restaurants and bars in the area. They even let me leave my car in the parking lot overnight while we headed to the end of the lake and stayed in Watkins Glen. I would definitely stay here again.

We weren't in the room much but when we were, it was very quiet; didn't here our neighbors or people in the hallways! Service was very friendly and accommodating! When we arrived back late after the wedding, the front desk person offered us water and late check out which we gladly accepted. Breakfast was extensive for hotel breakfast, but your typical holiday inn express breakfast with pancakes, cinnamon buns, eggs and biscuits. A couple of downsides; if you have more than 2 people staying in a room, they charge you for the extra people, even if the room is meant for 4 people! That didn't seem right. The gym was a nice touch but very old. The treadmill was broken while I was there and the elliptical was squeaky, loud and did not seem safe when I tried it out. I was happy to see free weights and mats with a large mirror; this is more than most hotel gyms. The indoor pool area was busy at most hours of the day. Also, if you need to get an Uber back to the hotel late at night, forget it! It takes 15-30 min to get one; just an FYI! Overall, great value for the area! I'd highly recommend staying here if you're in the area!

Amenities such as complimentary coffee station and lemon infused water were a plus. The pool and hot tub area is great, especially compared to other similar hotels in the area. The kids had a blast as did the adults! The complimentary breakfast was better than your average continental breakfast and the worker was on top of refilling foods. My thought is that it might be easier for guests to take their breakfasts back to their rooms or to-go. There are no hot/warm breakfast items besides coffee and oatmeal. Bananas are the fruit. No water pitcher and the milk pitcher is not labeled as 1%, 2%, or whole milk. The bed was comfortable.

The woman at the front desk was very nice. She greeted us warmly. I enjoyed the orange water in the lobby. The bed was soft. Now to the gross part. It looked like someone gave someone a haircut in the bathroom. There were small long hairs all over the floor and all over the shower. It was disgusting. In any other circumstance, I would have bolted. However, most hotels in the Finger Lakes area were sold out and they practically were too. They were gouging people since it was Labor Day Weekend. If you ask someone to pay $300 for a Microtel, at minimum, cleanliness is not too much to ask for. I told that to the guy at the desk, he listened, gave me sorry about that platitude and that was it. Thus, the reason for the negative review. I always give people a chance to make it right. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here. It's worth it to drive farther for a nice, clean hotel with staff that care about your experience.

My favorite thing about this bar is that it is within walking distance from the Hampton inn! You can enjoy some food and drinks and then walk back to the hotel. This most recent time I visited I enjoyed the meatballs and some rum and cokes. They offer different food specials throughout the week. They also have most types of liquor and beers. You can spend a few hours here and it won't cost you much! This is not a high class bar so if that's what your looking for, go somewhere else. This bar is perfect for cheap drinks and good company. 5 stars all the way!
