It overlooked Keuka Lake and was just absolutely beautiful- the room was spacious, clean and very comfy. Funny story - just not at the time, I accidentally locked myself out of my room and couldn't get back in - can you see me smacking my forehead right now? Well, let me tell you that the gentleman that was standing at the front desk could see I was in a mad panic because I wasn't fully dressed ( no shoes , hair still up ) ran immediately to help me. Within minutes he had rescued me- omg! Talk about embarrassing myself- This gentleman was professional and polite and had a positive attitude towards me- and I was super grateful and soon I was on my way to the wedding rehearsal party and when I returned back to my room later that evening, to my surprise I was treated like a queen with a bottle of the local wine country wine and a charcuterie board- Thank you young man for making my weekend that much less stressful- XXOO

There were only two bath towels in the room. In every other Hampton I've ever stayed in there have been four. Why is this important? If you are sharing a room with a woman who wants to wash her hair invariably she will dry her body with one towel and dry her hair with another. To put the nail in the coffin arriving at breakfast at 9 AM almost everything had run out and the kitchen had not timed things well with people waiting 10 to 15 minutes for replenishment. As a brand, I love Hampton Inn. It is my go to place when I travel for business, however, this experience was."less than"

That is a must these days. The hotel staff is friendly and knowledgeable and professional whether it's early in the morning or late at night. We found that they addressed any concerns immediately and thoughtfully. As someone who travels frequently with my family I value a clean hotel and friendly staff. I also value a good nights sleep! The beds we slept on were OUTSTANDING. I don't want to seem like I'm overstating here. The beds were extremely comfortable and my family slept well. Long car trips with an 8 year old who is well rested is a blessing. The alternative is less than ideal. The other added bonus we don't usually partake in was the breakfast offerings. We were quite surprised at the quality and the variety of food offered. Fresh pancakes made in a little pancake oven my son got quite a kick out of watching was the favorite. There was a large variety of fresh fruit, breads and cereal in addition to hot foods that varied each day. From start to finish we had an excellent stay. We would absolutely stay again. My son greatly enjoyed the indoor pool. I must say I am astonished at the number of hotels who have an outdoor pool in the Northeast. It's unusable for a great deal of the year! This hotel allows people the luxury of a swim or hot tub all year long. The small gym is also very nicely equipped. I personally appreciate seeing evidence that guest comfort and enjoyment is considered and important to the places we call home even for a short time. Thank you Best Western Plus Vineyard inn and suites for a wonderful stay. We will be back!

Our room was spacious with two queen beds and a table and chairs to relax and enjoy a glass of wine at. Clean bathroom with soap and shampooing, conditioner dispensers. The breakfast is complimentary and has a great selection. The pancake machine does it all for you with the wave of your hand or press of button. The coffee and yogurt machine are also high tech with customized selections that is prepared with the click of a button. Pleasant staff, quick check in and check out. There is a nice outdoor seating area that's decorative and lighting. Hotel is a quick walk to town restaurants, shops, Breweries, and Tavern.

One of the most entertaining Wineries in the Finger Lakes…read more They have a Chocolate and a Cheese Flight for Wine Tasting, but you can also go with neither and just try out 5 different local wines for $10 - a good deal. Their staff are super knowledgeable and friendly, and happy to explain what flavors and notes to expect from each kind of wine - or just chit chat with you about your trip to Geneva. The gift shop is cute and has a little something for everybody - whether you're just visiting or having a wedding nearby. And you can't beat that location or that view of the lake as you stroll across the lawn in front of the castle.

We came for a wedding in Penn Yan and stayed at the Ice House and in the main castle. For such a…read morelovely property it is terribly neglected. The mattresses are old and worn out. I mean really old where you can hear the springs creak and you wake up dozens of times in the middle of the night. The bathroom and foyer of the Ice House smells like feces because the septic tank is so old and not working properly. Stepping from the foyer into the living room shakes the entire floor. The gas stove in the kitchen doesn't work and isn't hooked up to anything. Why bother having a stove then? There were no full length mirrors in either the Ice House or the room in the main house, very inconvenient for getting ready considering many people come here for weddings. Septic tank for the Ice House needs to be replaced and the house needs to be renovated so the building doesn't shake when you walk around. I like a rustic charm where things look old but at least do some upkeep to maintain the property. In the main building, you can smell the septic tank from the lobby. They sprayed a ton of perfume to try to cover it up but the perfume smells awful and now it just smells like perfume and feces. Also spraying that much perfume is disruptive for people with sensitivities and migraines and will give you a headache. For the amount we're paying, we shouldn't have to smell shit during our whole stay. The continental breakfast is pathetic and definitely not suitable for people with dietary restrictions. They have plastic wrapped bagels and pastries and sugary cereals. All refined carbs. Everything has sugar added, including the cream cheese. No almond or oat milk, they only have dairy milk. That felt more like a "f*ck you" than an oversight because dairy intolerance is so common and every place has non-dairy milk these days. The yogurt isn't even vegetarian! It has gelatin in it. The fresh blueberries were nice. We ended up eating in Geneva. Again disappointing considering the price, you'd expect a better breakfast. Overall not worth it considering the price. I do not recommend staying here unless they renovate the property. Shameful as it's so beautiful.

Amenities inside the room were good. Not super modern, but everything was well kept up and clean. GREAT shower pressure. I really appreciated that they had large refillable soap/shampoo/conditioner mounted to the wall in the shower - those small one time use bottles are the worst. Our Vinter's Guestroom (the option with two beds) had a huge bathroom. I really appreciated the mini fridge. They greet you with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and there is also a free bottle of wine in your room - it's sweet wine, but if you don't roll that way (like us) you can exchange it for something else - which does have a cost depending on the bottle, but was worth it for us. You also get a free wine tasting with your stay.

The servers were friendly overall but because they appeared to be short staffed over our visit, they were running around which felt a bit chaotic. The wait times for food even with advance reservations were rough. The Arancini, breakfast sandwich and dinner burger were just okay. The breakfast burger tasted much better and the avocado toast was packed with delicious flavors (I ordered it several times). Their brunch buffet offerings were definitely lacking, so I'd pass on it if you're on the fence. And as you can tell, the grounds here and views were picture perfect! We loved the live music offerings as well!
