They are an amazing group of people who deal with some of the worst costumers I think I've ever seen. They are a very busy location and deserve respect. Mistakes happen and they always make it right. I blame myself for being too damn lazy on a Sunday morning to drag my ass out of the car and do the 30 second walking into the store, order my Grande Pike, pay, and go back to bed. Instead, I think it's cool and "really American" to just line up at the drive-through, curse at the car in front of you because they can't decide what they want, and finally after waiting for 30 minutes to get your coffee. This is absolutely the slowest Starbucks I have ever experienced. Seems like no one can faster than a snails pace. The patron that wants to get in and get out is so out of luck here. And to top it off the bathroom was FiLTHY. When I walked out of the bathroom I noticed that the rest of the place wasn't clean and orderly either the sugar station appeared to be unattended for awhile. The floor had spills and napkins on it. I absolutely LOOOVE this Starbucks ... sure its crazy busy but its the only one around for MILESSS... I think folks got to get over themselves with some of the wait complaints etc ...this isnt OC or LA , there isnt a Starbucks on every corner or in every grocery store , ON EVERY BLOCK-- that handled , i love the community feel of the store seen across the board in most Starbucks but also the REAL personal community that happens daily in the mornings and is , quite frankly , present all day long (least the diff times Ive been here), for the patrons that DO sit and enjoy the laid back , genuine,SOLID happenings here--on product and customer service . I have been to many many Starbucks before and none that have this kind of wait period. The drive thru line is always super long and super slow. I could deal with a long line if their service was faster, but it's not. Instead we tried going inside once and the wait again was so long. We overhear the cashier tell a customer it'll be at least 10 minutes for a drink and they can only make cold drinks at the moment. When I get to the front I order a iced drink and that it'll be at least 15 minutes now! Not only is their wait time ridiculously long but they're always out of stock of things, whether it's an ingredient or a size of something. I love starbucks, I'm a rewards member and I know sometimes they get busy but this Starbucks is the worst in wait time by far. Unfortunately it's the only one in the area and we have to settle for this service. Not even the Starbucks in the city take this long! Oh btw I'm currently in the drive thru and we've been sitting at the speaker for 3+ minutes and no one has even greeted us. read more

This Starbucks has improved their game. I have been coming here for the past couple of months ever since my favorite hip coffee place's quality of drinks declined. They now have consistently super friendly people and they consistently get my order right. They greet you as you walk in while making amazing delicious drinks. The quality and friendliness does not suffer even when they are swamped with people.Their latte cannot be beaten in yucca valley proper and their pike's place is perfectly brewed. It's a small starbucks, but they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I highly recommend this location. read more

Never once have I had a bad experience at a Starbucks. Ordered my drink. Waited. Waited. Waited. ... As I waited another guy was also asking about his drink and I overheard him saying he must've been waiting 30 minutes. I wait some more... People that just came and ordered their drinks got theirs before I even got mine. After it happened 3 times I finally go up to the counter and they had no idea what my drink was. I have been to this Starbucks many times and it's the only drive thru close to me so I go there even though the wait time is so long. I wish this Starbucks would have quicker service. I have been forgotten about when I have been inside Starbucks and I have waited 50 minutes through the drive thru. I'm not sure if the baristas are super slow at making drinks or what it is but this should change because Starbucks drinks are incredible. The Yucca Valley Starbucks has the rudest employees that I've ever encountered, and I've been to hundreds of Starbucks. All I ordered was one cup of coffee and asked for creamer and sweetener. The first guy responded with "hold on" then processed to give me less then I requested, so I returned to the counter and asked a different employee for extra. She was equally rude. Most Starbucks employees are amazing, polite and have great customer service skills, not the Yucca Valley store. read more

Get control of your patio smoking problem. When I mentioned it a couple of employees chimed in with "we try and tell them" but not one person came out to actually tell the patrons to stop smoking. And they seriously need to clean their restrooms. Public health does not seem to be a priority @ this location. Really needs better management. read more

This Starbucks location is more like a 2.5- right in the middle between "meh" and "A-OK." I've visited multiple times and have had something weird go wrong with my order at least 1/3 of the time. When I would walk in, I'd end up with the wrong milk or it would taste really off, like there was a miscommunication in ordering, or there would be a 20+ minute wait so I started mobile ordering instead. Mobile ordering has greatly helped with the accuracy but there's often still a long wait (I now bring a book and sit in my car while waiting rather than cramming into the usually packed area where the drinks are served). The gold medal for oddest glitch at this location was receiving two small cups taped together since I assume they'd run out of Venti-sized cups. Employees are actually generally pleasant, there's outdoor seating available, and the restrooms are clean but between the wait times and inconsistent quality, I usually try to visit another location or, ideally, the smaller locally-owned coffee shops in the area instead. read more

This morning I was the only customer at the drive thru. I'm diabetic so I ordered a plain iced coffee. Not only did it take over 10 minutes but they gave me one loaded with syrup. They told me it was a glitch in the computer. I had 3 different women ask me to repeat my order. I told them I just wanted a plain iced coffee and they still handed me this and rushed me out. This used to be a good starbucks but its gotten so bad. for months now they are out of everything, what starbucks runs out of milk? Stood there waiting for a coffee I had ordered online they had it behind the counter had two employees look at me, stood there for 5 minutes before one of the girls asked my name and it was just sitting behind the counter. No signs saying to ask or that they were no longer setting them on the counter when the orders are done. Nice location with a modern look. They weren't busy and were quick to process my drink orders. There were 4 employees working, all seemed to be smiling and greeted the customers. I asked if fall flavors were available. I got a quick reply that PSL was in fact available. I also ordered black tea, but I didn't specify hot, nor was I asked. When Zach had my order complete, it was in fact an iced tea he made. He mentioned he could get the hot tea right away and told me to keep the iced as well. It was an honest mistake and no ones fault. I had paid with my Mobil app and after this positive experience I wanted to leave a generous tip. The app never gave me the opportunity. I've been here quite a few times while waiting for my boyfriend to get out of work in Twentynine Palms. There is plenty of parking and indoor/outdoor seating. It seems to get packed around the noon hour and also when students start getting out of school. Almost every seat inside has access to an outlet, which is great. Free wi-fi. The staff is very friendly, but they are a little slow when a lot of customers come in. I'm sure people don't really mind waiting because it is one of the only coffee houses around. They also have a drive-thru, which can get a little backed up as well. Prices are your standard Starbucks prices and the restrooms are always clean and well-maintained. Pasty/food selection is pretty good as well. read more

Served normal iced coffee rather than cold brew. Would be fine if I was refunded the difference, but I specifically paid more for a cold brew and the drink is labeled as so. If the store is out of cold brew, the customer should be told rather than sneakily serving a different drink. read more

Waited for a SMALL Earl Grey Tea, 25 minutes. When they admitted that they had forgotten my order . They told me that they were having problems with their espresso machine this morning. It was a cuppa tea, it would require hot water. I usually don't ever even go into Starbucks because it is always a madhouse and the coffee isn't even that special. The Yucca Valley Starbucks only reinforces that opinion and I will not make an exception again.
