Iced matcha and hojicha latte with oat milk
    Jamie L.

Stopped by on our way to Joshua Tree. Lots of parking in the back, huge interior that is minimal yet beautiful. I think this place also serves food (sit down restaurant) but we only came to togo drinks. Service was fine. Tried the matcha latte with oat milk and hojicha latte with oat milk. Of the two, definitely liked the hojicha better (rich strong flavor) - matcha tasted a little watered down. Drinks are on the smaller end though and price is steep (~16 for two small iced drinks). Would come back though to try their ice cream and other drinks if I were in the area.

Nice to have some options now when visiting the desert cities (aside from J Tree Coffee Co.) Ordered a hot latte just to try the basics and it was very well done, the barista knows what he is doing. Also tried the brownie, very good high quality pastry. Place was popping and line was long, at first the line was moving slow but the second barista hopped in and helped move the line so good job there. Lastly the place is very "aesthetic" for the social media crowd so if that's your thing go and get your lil picture as this is a good place for it. Will definitely be back.

Sooo cute, so glad there is a cool cafe in the area now. Huge area so much seating. The hojicha and matcha quality were rlly good & the chocolate chip cookie was so freaking good. The tuna rice ball was also yummy. Not crazy expensive either, at least for food. Def coming again

Advertisement says specifically everywhere on the net, "Is Dog Friendly", and even has a dog on the front door ( Open sign). They even have dog statues and other likenesses inside. But as soon as I brought in my very friendly and clean, non shedding, 9lb Yorkie on a leash, we were promptly told, " We do not allow dogs..". Beyond that, uber hipster vibe, with the emo music and corney mandatory used book shelf, long hall with mono chrome paint.. Bougie, dorky and boring with mediocre coffee..Granted, these places bother me intrinsically before I even set foot in them, it was not that amazing..Standard LA, waxed mustache, fixed gear bike crowd..You need a mandatory sleeved set of arm tats to enter.

Beautiful place! The pastries looked delicious. I gave it 4 stars because the coffee was a bit disappointing. There's only 1 size, and it's so tiny, but pricey. It was good coffee, but I wish there were different sizes.

The ribs were tender with a nice smoky flavor and came off the bone clean. The tri tip was just as solid, juicy and well seasoned with that classic barbecue taste. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, and the baked beans had a good balance of sweet and savory. The lemonade was cold and refreshing and worked well with the meal. The atmosphere is a big part of the experience. Rustic, lively, and full of character. It feels like a true desert spot with history behind it. The place can get busy, but the staff kept things moving and were friendly throughout. This place loves to its hype. Definitely more than just a meal. It's the kind of place you go for the full experience, and I'd come back again.

When we arrived, staff was running all around us and I mean literally avoiding eye contact to not help us. We got one of their attentions and were able to get our names down, they apparently only do pen and paper for their list. During the wait we walked around pioneer town and took some pictures then made our way back just in time. Didn't matter much because as soon as we sat down, all the staff ignored us again. We were able to put in our orders and that was the last time we saw our waitress until the bill came. Other people brought our food, I had over cooked steak with cold mashed potatoes. The table had the strangest Mac and cheese and loaded fries that tasted microwaved. The decor was okay, the lights were very low and it made it hard to see the menu. I would overall skip this restaurant if I had the chance.

I ordered a turtle truffle nut milkshake. It's kind of like rocky road but has mini peanut butter cups and praline almonds. I had no idea restrooms were available til after we placed our orders at the walk up kiosks in the patio area. I figured this Sonic location was ideal since the gas station was next door and we could use those, just in case. While placing our orders on the touch screen monitor- I noticed it wasn't our order on the screen- but, our friends on the opposite side. LOL. But, when other friend placed hers on the monitor we used- it worked like usual. Because of the hiccup we had- we were able to submit our orders and the employee used a hand held payment machine. It's been forever (like 10 years) since I've ordered Sonic. But, the first time opting for the outdoor patio. The Groovy Fries are a must (crinkle cut fries are nostalgic); mozzarella sticks are as expected- and a lil bacon cheeseburger hits the spot. Wasn't in the mood for their syrup flavored drinks and opted for a very cold bottled water to use my Liquid IV. Service is swift. Great location to Looky Lou and clean restrooms.
