We had talked about coming on our last trip to Joshua Tree but couldn't make it. Super stoked to make it on our most recent trip because this place is great. Loved the vibes. Very minimal seating inside, but wide open seating outside. Really brings in the JT feels. We came for breakfast, so the weather was still really nice to sit outside. Imagine it would get hot during the day, especially during the summer. Limited breakfast menu, but I love it because you don't need a lot of items to be delicious. Their bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was fire. Perfect start to the morning. Got some breakfast cocktails to go with it. Really enjoyed their Strawberry Fields. Wasn't sure how the tequila would go with it, but it all meshed together really well. Surprisingly refreshing? But delicious. We also really enjoyed their Maritime Martini. They allow dogs outside, so our little boy lived his best life. Also have a photo booth for purchase, which was fun to use. It's a cute spot to take photos. They serve coffee and drinks (cocktails) there's a sign that says you must be 21 to enter but it wasn't enforced. We got the banana iced coffee, it was refreshing and much needed after a long day of hiking. It did not taste of banana at all and it was made with oat milk which isn't my personal favorite but I didn't read the sign thoroughly, that's on me. I would recommend stopping by if you want iced coffee, not special but not bad at all. read more

The vibes here are on point! Everything from the decor inside, to the rap music playing, to the photo booth and merch sold was on point. The matcha and coffee were incredibly delicious and they have a great outdoor area to hang out. They were having a 29 Loaves pop up today so it was awesome to try another local business! I visited Mas o Menos on a Saturday afternoon for a late breakfast after strolling through the Joshua Tree Farmers Market. Parking was easy with the lot right next to the cafe. I loved the upbeat & social ambiance--there was even live music from DJs. I got the banana bread matcha, which had a great flavor, but just didn't taste much like a banana bread. Most of my friends got the breakfast burritos & coffee drinks. One of my friends also ordered the baba ganoush & chips, which we all enjoyed. This coffee shop was such a cute vibe! It had a cute patio area along with a photo booth. If we got the chance it would've been nice to visit during the cocktail hours because their matcha lemonade was delicious! It wasn't overly sweet and the matcha flavor really pulled through with the lemonade. I also got an espresso shot over ice which was a little sour but it was very busy so i'll give it some leeway. The people here at más o menos are so kind! My boyfriend and I stopped by on the way home from our trip to get some coffee and food. I got my usual, an espresso tonic, which I'd give a personal food rating of 9/10! It was a Friday afternoon and it was a little busy so we didn't get to use the photo booth but hope to come back soon to check it out. I fell for the hype. This place is cute, I will say that part is enticing. I went online and saw this place had many great reviews. I personally think the wait for the coffee wasn't really worth the price or taste. I got an espresso martini and for it being a coffee shop I really wasn't too impressed. I mainly went here because my husband is an avid coffee enthusiast and he also wasn't really into his drink. This place is cute for photo ops and my favorite part was probably the Photo Booth outside. Great place to mark of the bucket list as far as presentation it's a beautiful spot but if I come back maybe I'll have to ask what their best drink on the menu is. The cutest stop on the way to Joshua Tree!!! Took a trip last weekend to Joshua Tree and I never fail to be on the hunt for matcha. Especially good matcha. My friend picked a random spot on maps to try and we were pleased as it was our first stop before entering the park. The parking was simple and it was easy to find since it was in the middle of the desert, it wasn't overly busy when we got there but filled up by the time we left which was around noon! If you love to take aesthetic pictures, have a cocktail or a matcha, make sure to stop on your way there or back. They have the cutest vibe inside and out, a back patio with options to be shaded or not, a super cute bathroom and a Photo Booth!! The strips are $6/2 and I was able to add in some banana bread syrup to my matcha which made me enjoy it even more. We didn't get a chance to sit at the bar since it wasn't what we were going for before a hike but I'd come back just to get a drink. It is 21+ and there was a mix of people dressed super cute and aesthetic but also some hikers like myself who just wanted a quick coffee! read more

This is such a beautiful café! We really enjoyed our matches, the rosemary sage lemonade was also outstanding! The menu sounds so delicious, I want to try every single thing! I stopped by Mas o Menos before heading back to LA and there was a pretty long line, and everyone seemed like they were from LA, so it felt kind of touristy. Their special of the day was a banana latte and I could taste the slightest hint of banana but my friends tried it and said they didn't taste it at all. I also ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese on focaccia bread. The bread is made from pizza dough, so it was doughy in the best way. However, I didn't taste much bacon or cheese and got mostly egg. This place is massively popular and I think viral on social media perhaps?? Expect HUGE lines. We learned that their foods (sandwiches / burritos / other grab + go options etc.) are all made in another location and transported over to Más o Menos so when we went to order our food after an ~30 min wait in line; we were told it would be another 45 mins before food would deliver. We opted to just get drinks here as a result. This place has both a large amount of parking avaliable and a ton of outdoor + minimal indoor seating. There is also a photobooth (apple pay accepted!). The people seating next to us were having a work meeting, so it's definitely a nice place to meet up with someone or just get some work done. Service was hit or miss. We had to check this place out while in Joshua tree because it was all over TikTok and I would say it lived up to its hype. It's a super cute place that has gray outdoor seating. I'm not a huge coffee person, but I decided to try coffee while I was there me and my three friends got the special banana bread latte iced,I thought it was not bad but again I'm not a huge coffee person so I might not be the best judge of character. Came here a bit ago on a trip to Joshua Tree with some friends. We were trying to find a cute coffee shop/cafe to go to for a pick me up and stumbled across this place. I really liked it! The menu was decent with different syrup options for you coffee/tea choices. I ordered an iced latte with caramel and it was tasty. The staff were nice, there were lots of little keepsake items you could buy like stickers and prints, lots of wine options, full bar, and they had body products and candles. The energy was very calm and relaxed inside. I didn't know until reading other reviews that they have a photo booth out back. Place is very cozy and quaint with several spots for seating. They have an even bigger outdoor area for seating where the photo booth is also located. $5 for two copies. Everything was super aesthetic and it's a really great place to take pictures. They turn into a bar at night! 4/10 Matcha ($6.5): Got the matcha with regular milk and no sweetener/syrup because I was a little confused with the menu pricing for flavored syrup. It was not good at all, just tasted like bitter milk. Requested syrup in my drink which didn't really help, but I was dehydrated in the hot sun so I was able to finish the drink. Unfortunately our visit didn't turn out like we had hoped. While the shop is aesthetically pleasing and prices are reasonable, the ambiance was off-- just as some of the one star reviews have mentioned. It is disappointing given the potential of the space. Customer service could definitely improve on being more welcoming and inclusive (specifically the shorter statured man). My party and I felt uncomfortable-- as if we were being watched, rather than being offered help. Although it wasn't all the staff members, but one in particular that defined the ambiance for us. If you want a welcoming and chill ambiance, I would look elsewhere. BUT if you want an aesthetically appealing space then go for the quick pictures and head out. read more
