There's a parking garage nearby with free parking and we can always find a spot there even on the weekend. They have outdoor seating and play relaxing music outside too which helps make it a very chill place. Definitely check it out if you're in the area! read more

I'm usually here pretty early in the morning so parking is not a problem however because it's kind of in the heart of downtown Ventura I could see where that might get to be a hassle. But of course this is Starbucks, and invariably the coffee is just about as good as you can get. Granted it is on the pricey side but it's Coffee we are talking about... A small coffee shop that is more of a grab-and-go. Although it has limited space inside, they do have a few small tables outside if you want to sit down. The staff is very competent and friendly. So, funny story: I accidentally ordered to this location on Main Street instead of my usual Starbucks store, and had to drive across town for my toasted white chocolate mocha. (Pro Tip: Don't place a mobile order right after you've had your pupils dilated) I had been to this location before, and was actually delighted to visit it again. The location is fabulous, right on the corner of Chestnut St. on beautiful Main Street in downtown Ventura. Parking was extremely tricky as the area is closed off to vehicle traffic, but I got lucky with a spot on the street right outside Limón y Sal. There is a parking garage nearby, but it is a bit of a trek to get to this Starbucks location. If you're not going to be in the area already, it's not the most practical location to place your mobile order from. I was immediately greeted by a barista when I walked in and he directed me toward the counter where the mobile orders are fulfilled. This is a happening Main Street but there weren't any other options for good coffee which was a bummer. It was a Saturday afternoon and it was busy but they only allow you to order and pick up your drink outside the shop. The blonde pony tail wearing young lady who closed up last night and took our order on 8/4 (8:45 PM, I brought my dog - Hope you remember us!) was the rudest brat I've seen in a while. I will never be back, I know it's hard being a barista but I feel sorry for you. Your life must be miserable. It's not like we were weird and made a complicated order: we wanted to know your tea selection and ordered two teas. One latte and one regular with whip cream. And after treating us like shit we had the unfortunate experience of hearing you grabber on about your hiking and back packing trip to Colorado - you'd think you'd have more appreciation for life and others after spending time in nature's playground. You were so condescending when my friend and I wanted to order tea. He said he wanted a grande tea latte and you acted like you couldn't hear him after everything he said. Tiny inside location for this downtown venue. There are some patio seating spaces outdoors, but the weather doesn't always cooperate for being outside. The interior is long and narrow. The barista was hustling to get the orders out rapidly. I made the mistake of choosing the seasonal S'Mores Frapuccino without the coffee. It's much better with it. Lesson learned. Parking could be challenging for this location. We were in a lot several blocks away, strolling downtown, so it wasn't an issue for us. We had a good vantage point outside to people watch. Not the ideal space for a busy Starbucks, but they make it work. read more

I didn't want to post a less than spectacular review because the staff is extremely friendly. The cashier provided helpful advice for my drive back to Los Angeles. Unfortunately, the barista failed to prepare my order correctly. I ordered my first Cold Foam Cascara Cold Brew at this location. It was served with the regular cold beverage lid which requires a straw. This was almost the last time I ordered this drink. The drink is to be served with a lid which allows customers to drink the beverage without the need of a straw. As such, the foam and the coffee is mixed when the cup is tilted. Drinking with a straw, the foam remains on the top of the liquid and the beverage tastes different. How different? I tossed the drink after a few sips. read more

The Carpenteria location is good. The staff are friendly and efficient. The space is small and the outdoor seating has you practically in the parking lot. It's not always cleaned and seating is limited pre...during and now ... with COVID. Interesting during the pandemic it wasn't open but Tyler's Donuts across from it was considered an 'essential service' as was the 99 and up store. Parking is good due to its proximity to Albertsons. It's Starbucks so there's not too much variety. No coffee smell in the air. read more

This Starbucks is located in a lovely little place in Ventura but the streets are so narrow! This makes it difficult to pull out of your parking space, especially with so many cars zooming by. A parking lot would make things convenient. I loved the area it was located though! Inside was really small and cramp. Seriously smaller than my bedroom and my bedroom isn't that big. However, the service is excellent! Baristas are so friendly and genuine. I'd stop by this Starbucks if I was in the area but if I had to choose, I might choose another Starbucks just because of the inconvenience of this one. read more

This last time totally makes up for my other experiences. My drink tasted bitter and I asked if they could remake it and they gladly did. But the second drink tasted the same. We pinpointed it to the cold brew coffee. They gladly remade a totally different drink for that and told me my next drink is on them.
