I really like the baristas here. The two young female baristas that were on shift were genuinely nice and made the place a warm and friendly place to order a drink and hang out. They greeted every customer and even made some small talk.
I happened to come two days in a row and the barista remembered me and thanked me for coming again. When i asked about drink recommendations she was happy to answer my questions. Out of all the starbucks i've been to so far, i like the vibes here the most.
The place itself is quite spacious. You could practically ballroom dance inside with the amount of floor space inside.
There's a long row of bench seats (aka banquette seating) with individual tables in front. There's plenty of patio seating at the front of the store.
There's soft indie music playing the background. Only 2 other customers were there at the time so the place was really quiet. I was quite productive reading important emails during my time there because it was so peaceful and quiet.
As for the food, on my first visit, I got the venti caramel ribbon frappuccino. It's very sweet from the caramel and you can definitely taste the coffee base as well. The solid caramel chunks are my favorite part of the drink. This is my go to drink when it's hot out and i want a very sweet drink/dessert.
On my second visit, i got the cream cheese danish and the iced matcha latte.
The cream cheese danish is a nice small bakery snack to go along with my drink and the cream cheese was sweeter than i thought. it was served pretty hot. Overall It's not bad in terms of taste. It's a pretty average tasting danish you can buy anywhere. I probably wouldn't order this bakery item again.
The iced matcha tea latte is another refreshing drink for the summertime. You can really taste the matcha powder in this one. I sorta liked the oat milk that i opted to replaced the dairy milk with. Taste wise, its not my favorite drink so i'll probably skip over this one next time as well. I have yet to be impressed by Iced matcha tea drinks in general.
The wait time time for the drinks were average at about 5-6 minutes and that's when it's not busy at all on a weekday evening.
One negative are the washrooms. There was a terrible stench inside it that resembled pot. I had to hold my breath because it was pretty bad. Also, you have to ask the staff for the keycode to go inside which is mildly inconvenient.
4 stars overall. Again, great baristas and vibes at this place. read more
