on my way to david lam park on a friday afternoon, i suddenly realized my right hand was in need of a cold drink. hydration break? absolutely. seasonal matcha? even better. this starbucks is on mainland street in the heart of yaletown, making it an easy stop if you're wandering around the neighbourhood or heading towards the waterfront. it's a cozy space with a slightly industrial feel that fits right in with the neighbourhood. inside, there are exposed wood beams across the ceiling, warm wood panelling, dark walls, exposed brick and plenty of track lighting. the leather like stools and small round tables give the seating area a relaxed, casual feel, while the warm wood tones keep the space from feeling too stark. there's also a nice outdoor patio if you'd rather enjoy your drink outside. i went with the iced pumpkin spice matcha latte with oat milk, because a friday afternoon in september seemed like a perfectly reasonable time to add a little fall flavour. the combination of creamy matcha and pumpkin spice made for a nice seasonal drink, comforting, lightly spiced and refreshing over ice. overall, a convenient yaletown pit stop when you need caffeine, hydration, a place to regroup, or simply an excuse to walk around with a cold drink in your hand. drink acquired, hydration crisis averted, and off to david lam park i went. read more

Definitely not a fan of starbucks. All their stuff sucks and its not like the money is going to a good cause either iykyk

Nice Starbucks in Yaletown. As several downtown Vancouver Starbucks has closed, this is one of the few that did not. Staff here are efficient and friendly. read more

Conveniently located across the Yaletown-roundhouse skytrain station, this Starbucks fulfills all the classic Starbucks tropes you would want. As of September 2021, they still aren't offering indoor seating just yet (there's a Starbucks two blocks down the street offering indoor seating), but a couple of outdoor tables are available. There's always at least 3-4 baristas behind the counter so orders are served with relatively minimal delays. This Starbucks sets itself apart with its interesting pseudo-industrial indoor design, and when indoor seating resumes, seems like a very worthy place to study. read more

Ian was an amazing cashier. Full of energy and friendly. Made my day! Keep it up Ian!

Order taken January 1st at 2:12pm. I did not have a good experience here. I kept getting interrupted while my order was being taken, so there was a lot of confusion with my simple order. Then as a fellow partner, I was sad she would not let me use my partner discount. There was a nice woman making drinks so shout out to her! Overall did not feel good here read more

I'm a big fan of Starbucks and, coming from Seattle, I am very accustomed to its drinks and merchandise and have gone to, probably, hundreds of its locations in North America (like many of you!). This Starbucks site is a great one. Sure, it sells the same drinks and foods, and the store's lay-out is familiar. I've always been partial to exposed brick walls, too. And the baristas and counter guys were super friendly, and they got my drink right, too. What makes this Starbucks stand out from the pack, though: -location. This store is right across from the skytrain station and a half block from the Roundhouse Community Center. It's in the heart of Yaletown, with all its shops and restaurants and salons and wine stores and bistros. It's less than two blocks from the Yaletown docks and the seawall and David Lam Park. In other words, it's smack dab in the middle of a vibrant, bustling, "hip" and fun area, and it's super easy to get here, whether walking or taking transit. -outdoor seating. It's here and it's ample. There's a good sized patio out front which is ideal to people watch while sipping one's latte! -clientele. I realize it's beyond the control of the business, to some extent, who comes into their stores. But on the occasions we visited this Starbucks, we met the NICEST Vancouver-ites who we befriended over coffee! On our most recent visit, they just struck up a conversation with me and my husband while we were trying to figure out where to go for dinner. First one young lady proffered some suggestions, then another guy at a neighboring table chimed in, and my husband and I couldn't help but think how incredibly nice the folks are who come to this coffee shop! Leaving, we encountered another guy (with TWO coffees in hand!) who also struck up a conversation with us. The friendliness of the folks who regularly come to this Starbucks definitely enhance the ambiance for us. read more

Yaletown is a funny town. In the day time it is moms and babycars, hip young dudes and dudettes that work for some type of coding firm or internet concern, and full of people hopping off Canada Line hitting one of those mini buses to somewhere else. The weekend is full of douchebag types. Hence the term Yaletown douchebag. In the midst of all this there is the Yaletown Starbucks. It's a Starbucks Reserve™ Starbucks so it is kind of special. It's a bit old, and gritty not at all pretty, yet it has warehouse character and charm. The staff here are always friendly, have a smile for you and make you feel welcome. The biggest thing I love though is the Pike Place coffee, ordered from my app with heavy cream and a sugar in the raw. Ready with a smile. t read more

Like the deco of this Starbucks. Old window, wooden tables and chairs, red bricks. The stuff r friendly. Not too busy during the dinner time on Friday evening. I enjoy the time sitting next to the window and watching the street. Nice place! read more

This location is conveniently located beside the yaletown sky train station. It's got a few patio tables outside and limited seating inside. It's a busy one and you'll usually have to wait in line. It's also a narrow door pathway. Constantly running into strollers and stepping aside for others. It's a dance around the front door read more

The Good: located near the Skytrain station so it's a convenient location as soon as you step outside. The staff is also friendly. The Bad: Limited space with slow moving lineups do not make staying there a great experience. They do have a patio outside but it doesn't help when the weather is cold or wet. read more

Perhaps I'm FTR because there's two Bucks on Mainland, and like me (who accidentally "checked in" at the other), gets too confused to remember the difference between the two. Admittedly, today was the second time I have got these two Starbucks mixed up. Why is it so hard to tell one Starbucks from another? Oh that's right it's because they all look, feel and even smell the same. Except for this Starbucks is right next to the Skytrain station - bonus point for convenience factor. My drink of choice at my infrequent visits is a 1/2 sweet white mocha americano. The white mocha syrup masks the flavour of the coffee and also means I don't have to add sugar or cream - another convenience bonus. They're as generic as they come, but I do have to thank them for the free iTunes downloads and coffee mugs. I still haven't found a travel mug that keeps my coffee as piping hot as theirs. read more

I wouldn't normally review/recommend a Starbucks. What am I going to say? "Did you know they do a vanilla latte?" BUT! This is all about the location and interior. Easily the nicest downtown Starbucks to just hangout in. Red brick and wood finishing in a traditional Yaletown building. As long as its not too busy it can be a very relaxing place to take 30 minutes out of your day. Located right next to the Canada Line Yaletown Roundhouse station it's worth jumping on from City Centre to travel the one stop and therein avoiding the Downtown Granville Street Starbucks outlets which are very busy and smell like the even busier bathrooms. Did I mention they do vanilla lattes? read more

On the one day a week I don't cycle in to work, you can be sure as anything I will stop off here upon emerging from the Skytrain Station. Why? They have a Clover machine! At the risk of sounding pretentious, the Clover coffee really does have a different taste. Forget your blonde roast! They have a full range of beans to try, and get in new ones. The Nicaragua has so far been my fave. They even have handy little cards by the bar area describing the different tastes! Service is usually quick, not a ton of seating (and usually always all taken), but then I'm on my way to work, so nyah! Thanks for the Clover! read more

MMMM Starbucks is Starbucks and it is what it is. Being a classic "shot dude".. I'm not into the skinny, half fluffed mochachino that float some peoples boats. But when in Rome! Consistency is the key to Starbucks. You know what you are going to get, the service is always excellent. There is the assortment of "pre-made" food n stuff. It would be nice to have more of the "ARABICA Beans" that I am used to in allot of the other countries that I have visited starbucks. read more

A great location for coming off skytrain (yes, Canada Line - it's all skytrain to me, even the underground parts) - time to get my drink, and finish it while walking up the hill to my appointment on Seymour. Friendly staff, efficient and accurate with orders, a partially-covered outdoor seating area, and the aforementioned greatness of location bring them 4 stars by my calculations. read more

I absolutely love this location. Very central to everything. Right next to a skytrain. There is a lot of things near by that are very handy. Love the big padio. Best of all the staff are very nice. read more

Everything is amazing about this place except its size. It is too small so you might not be able to find a place to sit and i'm that type of person who wants to sit and drink her coffee so it's important to me to find someowhere to sit. Do if you are like me, maybe this is not tge best place you could buy your coffee. read more

The Americano I ordered tasted burnt and very bitter. Feel like I may have received what's leftover on the bottom of the pot. Not great.

Theres this really nice tall dude who wears a toque. Not sure his name. He is super sweet, and genuine and always gives the best customer service! read more

This Starbucks location is very convenient and accessible. It is right by the Yaletown-Roundhouse Canada Line station. It is a smaller store but the staff are friendly and helpful. There aren't much sitting areas and it was hard to find outlets for my laptop. I got lucky to get there early to grab a seat and get some coursework done. They got crowded around 5pm. read more

This is the most appealing Starbucks in downtown/yaletown. I like how this is in a central location yet feels a bit secluded. This is a great Starbucks to meet a friend on a nice day out and make use of the large patio. However, It is a very noisy Starbucks, so I don't recommend it if you want to get work done (if you're easily distracted) service is quick like other locations and the lady who manages is wonderful. read more

Always greeted with a smile. This location is fast and efficient with their services. If I'm ordering at the front counter or picking up a mobile order, it's is always less then a few minutes! read more

Good environment, baristas are friendly and the service was quick. The space is very homey so it's a nice place to just chill with friends or people watch. If its a sunny day, sit out on the patio to enjoy the Yaletown experience. read more

This a very small Starbucks, therefore, seating is very limited, however, the service is awesome 'cause of the demographic. They actually smiled and liked their job. What a concept. read more

One of the best action Starbucks, right off the Canada Line station too. Just the right-size so you're bound to bump into someone.

Fast and friendly service! Will come to buy my next caramel frappuccino from here for sure!

Great location but no the best, a bit noisy even inside. Good service and a lot of smiles.

Wifi doesn't work and the staff doesnt know how to fix it. Other than that it's a nice, busy place in the yaletown area.
