For some reason the people working the drive thru can not take an order for the life of them. I always ask for extra whipped cream and consistently, they never give me any whipped cream. We didn't stay because we couldn't find a parking place, and Dear Hubby didn't want drive-thru, he wanted someplace to sit down and relax for a bit of time. This is one of those locations squeezed in beside a gas station. There's another like that in Tarzana right off Ventura Blvd. We missed the driveway as we turned off Balboa onto Roscoe, and had to come around. Once we did, there were no parking spaces available to be able to go inside. The building does look newer, and I suspect that it's fine inside or driving through, but with nowhere to park, we kept going to the Sherman Way location, just west of Sepulveda, which wasn't exactly a winner. read more

After picking up my mobile order that was ready I waited about 5 minutes to ask for a water. No one acknowledged me because they seemed to be busy which is fine so I decided to wait in line to ask. When it was my turn to order I asked Diana for a water and she rolled her eyes and began to make it. About 5 minutes later when it died down I asked her did I bother her by asking for the water and her response was "She was just up really late last night". It's nice and spacious inside this Starbucks, I usually come here to catch up on work, it's not so noisy, and it's a very open area. During lunch time it can get a bit hectic, parking can be a problem at times but for the most part there's parking on the side. Maybe because it's a bit hidden people don't usually come inside and there's also a drive thru which is a plus. This Starbucks is also located right next to a gas station so anyone can grab a cup of coffee while pumping gas. I enjoy this little spot. read more

The worst Starbucks location ever. They consistently get drinks wrong. They are so incredibly slow. They leave one person to make the people waiting insides drinks while everyone else focuses only on the drive thru drinks. And then some people just stand around. They are all nice here and also the barista guy made my caramel frappuccino Venti instead of grande. Aqedome!! Thank you. I normally enjoy drinking Starbucks Pike coffee. But its been two separate occasions now from this particular Starbucks, corner of Balboa and Roscoe that I feel sick and nauseous after drinking it. I order it with half and half and 2 scoops of sugar as I usually do at all locations I go to, but from this location, not only do I feel nauseous, I get this nasty slimy saliva with brown coffee color. I ordered it this morning before work and now at lunch as I write this review, I feel like throwing up with that nasty after taste and slime on my tongue. It happened recently and now today as I gave it a second chance, it happened again. When I order other specialty drinks from the same location, no problem. So my only thought is their coffee machine that brews the coffee for Pike is dirty inside and may have bacteria, or their half and half is expired. Although we are talking two separate occasions over a week apart. So that leads me more towards their coffee machine. This needs to be addressed asap! read more

Sadly their coffee is just not as good in terms of taste and quality. I tend to stick to an iced coffee or iced soy latte, nothing too crazy. Spacious lobby, plenty of seating, fast service, free WiFi. Besides that, nothing really blew me away here. Pretty standard visit. The customer service could have been more friendly. What really bothered me was the insane number of homeless people wandering the property. I really don't want to be bothered for change when I go for a coffee break, or have to leave out a separate doorway that I came in to avoid being asked again on my way out. I'm sure I'm not the first person to experience this here, and I won't be the last. Highly recommend security guards. read more

I always do this with 2 or more drinks, so much easier to carry...well i picked up the bag and before i could reinforce it by holding the bottom JUST IN CASE. two trenta very hibiscus refreshers alllll over thenl passanger seat and floor. I looked and realized the guy didnt put the cup holder together right so it didnt have a bottom...just sides. Honest mistake but $10 and no drinks and like $45+ for the interior detailing. By far the BEST location I've gone to, especially during morning rush. I've been coming here for about at least 2 years every morning 5x a week before i start work. Starbucks addict? I say YES. Theres times like today where there drive thru line is thru the gas station down to Roscoe, Id estimate about 16 cars ahead of me & I was in & out in about 9 minutes.
