There were a few spots left when we parked (but considering the time and day, the parking lot is plenty big). We ordered a bagel w/ cream cheese and a maple cinnamon roll. If anybody remembers the McDonald's Cinnamelt from back in the day, this treat tasted extremely similar to that (man I miss the Cinnamelt)!! To drink, we got an iced americano which was tasty and a hot matcha (sweetened by default). The matcha was decent by coffee shop standards. Nothing crazy, but if you're not a coffee person, it's a solid option. We spent about an hour hanging out, and even though the line got long at times, it moved quickly, and the seating never filled up. All in all, Fuel Coffee Works was a great place to stop in!

My go-to drink is either an Americano or a red eye (black coffee with a shot of espresso). Very simple. But to get either of those drinks costs $8. Basically $8 for strong coffee. I just can't justify that. If they did what every other coffee shop does - charge roughly $5 or $6 for those drinks, I would return.

The decor is vintage photos, paintings, drawings and even post cards on the walls and on the tables. We were greeted so warmly especially when we told them it was our first time. What a nice surprise. Store was spotless, well-lit and had a decent selection of flavors (a few less than our hometown Sweet Frog, though, I think). Overall, nice treat after dinner. A couple side notes I appreciate. Bittersweet's marketing team deserves. Ton of credit - they have some awesome swag available for purchase. Also, this is a Christian oriented cafe with bible verses, messaging, and music. Love it! And finally, check out the story about Bittersweet's roots, its commitment to addiction recovery/support, and the owner's son's story/passing. Nice landscaping provides a near perfect setting to enjoy a cup of coffee. I ended up getting a simple red eye. It was delicious. I understand they brew Iron Star coffee out of West Mifflin. The same Iron Star that owns Coffee Tree shops. If this coffee is any indication, I think I need to visit Coffee Tree again. It's been a while. Anyway, I had a really good cup of coffee and a peanut butter and jelly cookie. No complaints on the cookie, but I wish they had some breakfast sweets like scones or cinnamon rolls. Next time I'll try some real food. Just be aware that things are a little pricey here.

I mean it's absolutely INSANE how BIG a small is. A small is huge. My kids have never gotten through a 1/3 of a small. They also gave a dole whip flavors that change out and have favor additions to their soft serve. We moved down to this area recently. For years we religiously visited Paige's on the South Side of Pgh. It wasn't until we found this local spot that we found somewhere else that we can enjoy just as much as our OG. Very happy to have found this place.
