I love Starbucks. Nothing is better on a hot day than an ice cold frap of ANY kind from your neighborhood Starbucks. I have been on a Vanilla Bean Frap Kick. And since I'm HIGHLY lactose intolerant I have mine made with coconut milk and no whip. Normally the barista asks me if I want whip. Not today; and I completely forgot to ask them to omit. So when I pull up n see it on there I say OH CRAP IM SORRY I CANNOT HAVE WHIP CREAM. NOT - I don't LIKE whip Cream, not I PREFER not to have whip on there can you take it off. I say I CANNOT have it. I had an addition to my order so I was talking to the cashier while I THOUGHT my drink was being remade. But when I pull out of the Drivethru n happen to look at the base of my cup what do I see? This is by far one of the friendliest Starbucks I've ever frequented. I've been here several times in the last month since I moved to Texas and everyone is so friendly and kind. My drink is made the exact same way every time and I can't say enough how pleasant the workers are. The reason it's a 4/5 is the pick up area. This is the smallest pick up area of any Starbucks which makes it a bit confusing trying to find my order. I know counter space is limited but they should really find a way to make it easier. read more

I have witnessed these baristas handle a massive rush that would have put my anxiety in overdrive. They work so hard and they're so friendly and polite. A couple times they wrote motivational phrases on my pastry bag. I kept one as a souvenir :) They have handled crowds when extremely short staffed, and I'm just in awe of how they do it. read more

My favorite location in Temple area! They have really sweet workers. I love love the chai tea latte hot with oatmilk no water and an extra pump of chai. It's too hot for that but I recently tried a Pineapple matcha coconut milk that was decent and my teens love the refreshers. They have good breakfast items. Disappointing drinks and service. Drinks are rarely consistent. Staff is typically friendly but not always- which is not in alignment with the customer service expectations of Starbucks Corporate. Drink inconsistency and mediocre customer service is a direct reflection of poor management. As a former Starbucks manager and regular I hope to see it improve. read more

I give this location 3 stars, the service is great, they just keep having a huge turnaround in baristas and sometimes the evening crew is lacking the consistency in making the drinks. Also, with this crazy Texas heat, it would be nice if the patio had some misters to keep customers cool in the summer months. Literally only get my drink right 2/10 times. It's not that hard...literally used to work for Starbucks and this location is the worst by far. Never guaranteed to get it right and for how expensive Starbucks is it's not even worth it. If I have to come back because my drink is wrong and then still wait for drinks being made that were placed after I walk back inside like wtf. By far the worst Starbucks in Central Texas. Orders take forever no matter how many employees are present. The store hours listed in the app rarely reflect when they're actually open. We were the only ones in the store bc of COVID, but still had to watch several drive thru patrons be helped first - and then our drink just sitting on the counter for several more minutes (after we had received the first) before we finally pointed out that we thought it was ours. I have been coming here for almost 4 months now. Since I am new to Texas, and needed to find a "home" here in Temple, I decided to try here in the west side of the city. I found Starbucks here close to WalMart, and love how nice the folks are, and how friendly the setting is inside. I also have a favorite spot outside as well! Love it here and always get the mocha frapp and a popsicle cake. I gave them all 5 stars! They deserve it! read more

I really enjoy going to Starbucks off Adams. The baristas are always super friendly, no matter how stressed and busy they are. IDK why people complain so much. I think those who never worked in a food establishment don't have the slightest clue how hard it actually is mentally and physically. I appreciate the baristas because they don't have to work their jobs as baristas. There are other professions out there where there isn't as much customer interaction. So if you like to get your coffee in the morning from a coffee shop and you want to have it that way, make sure your complaint is actually worth spending your time and energy on. Look at the lifeguard situation...wouldn't surprise me if the same were to happen with baristas especially when considering the pay is not good. read more

This is a great location for me & often stop here on my way to work. I use the app & order before I get here & 90% of the time my drink is ready when I pick it up. The downside is I still have to get out of my car & go inside. The drive thru is ALWAYS busy during the morning hours. Service is decent & the inside is always clean. read more

Placed a mobile order at about 1230. They said it would be ready at 12:42. I get there, and don't receive my order until 12:58. Then, on top of that, two things are missing. I ask the cashier and she says she'll get it for me right away. She comes back with the wrong protein box and the wrong chips. Maybe it shouldn't say that these items are available online if they aren't. Then, they didn't even make our drinks right. It is frustrating for me because this Starbucks is the closest location to me and is also on my way to work. So I stop in usually 1 or 2 times during the week usually once on the weekend. Every time I order a hot specialty drink (White Chocolate Mocha, Carmel Macchiato, and more recently Smoked Butterscotch) it is barely drinkable. I normally drink my coffee with cream and sugar, which is why I order these sweeter drink. Super disappointed tonight. I rarely ever splurge on Starbucks (I'm a single mom), but I decided to stop at this location tonight, on the way to pick up my oldest. Ordered a (hot) venti Caramel Macchiato, which is the only hot drink I ever get. Halfway to pick my son up, I tasted it. It tastes like hot water! Margo Arnesen Went through the drive thru today, Sept 1 at around 11:00 a.m.-ish. FIRST TIME I've been out of the house to go to ANY food establishment since March due to the fact I am high risk as is my asthmatic granddaughter who was also in the car with me on our first excursion. Sat and watched your young lady at the window, her name is Hannah (long braid). She had NO gloves on, her mask was UNDER HER NOSE, she kept leaning out the window to speak to the person in the car ahead of us, and I mean LEANING. Certainly no six foot distance at all. It was so bad we took a photo of her and am attaching it herewith. By the time I got to the window she still had not pulled her mask up and still had no gloves on. Even McDonalds and Jack in the Box wear gloves and masks properly. Local "manager" of this store stated to the prior customer, "I would be happy to speak with you regarding all the precautions we're taking as a company and store to prevent the spread of Covid-19" -- well apparently you aren't taking "ALL the precautions" which should include employee TRAINING or this young lady would not be leaning out the window with an IMPROPERLY WORN MASK. I couldn't get a hold of my nearby Starbucks and needed to place an order for a meeting I had the next day. I called several times and still no answer, so I called this one and explained the situation. I was really just hoping to get a good phone number, but when I told the girl who answered the phone the situation, she volunteered to call and put the order in for me if she could get a pick up. I used to go the one on 31st street but since the West Adams location opened I have not been back. The staff on West Adams has outstanding service and the store is much cleaner than the one on 31st. After waiting in line for almost 20 minutes, I finally arrived to the window and paid. They were not able to locate my drink, so Alex said they would make me another one. In the meantime, I watched a lady come up to the counter and return a drink because it was not correct. Alex then proceeded to take the drink from her and give it to me. I was absolutely baffled and told him that was a health code violation and I could not believe he was trying to give me a drink that another person had already taken. His response- "Well, I don't think she drank out of it yet." I told him it did not matter and they were going to make me another drink. He was very rude, but they made me another drink. I then had to wait because he did not give me a receipt. On top of the health code violation (which I will be reporting) the customer service I experienced today was terrible! read more
