There is a lot here left to be desired. The only way to get proper service is through in person or drive- otherwise they will not prioritize any online orders until you complain. I am currently waiting 20+ minutes for ONE refresher while watching others be served who just ordered in store. Really, what id like is a refund but Starbucks makes that difficult to do. Writing this review specifically for the amazing staff at this location the night before Thanksgiving. We came in with our dog to get some sweet treats and a pup cup. The barista was extremely friendly and courteous and even gave us a wider bowl for our bulldog to enjoy his pup cup (flat face problems ). Sweet treats were delicious, and the employees seemed like they were having fun and encouraging a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who went in. Thanks for a great experience! read more

I am sorry but you know it must be so bad for me to write a review. We mobile ordered ahead of time to give the employees plenty of time. I understand it can be difficult with just three on the shift but no one was locked in, no one assumed team lead. Maybe the one who spilled a hot coffee everywhere was the lead. It took 8 minutes for me to receive one of the drinks in my order, which is understandable but there was no rush. Maybe one in the drive thru and an in person water cup order. I then asked after being patient, " is there the second order for Sarah?" No answer. Then a girl started sweeping and the other went MIA. I then shouted to the "lead" and repeated my question. She replies " Oh I'm sorry, I'll make that for you." I bring the drink to the car to my mom, and my mom told me the hot coffee was now cold? Even though they just made it. My dad wanted to go inside to get in remade but my mom said not to. Good thing my mom is nice but, they must need to know this is NOT ok. I really like to go to this Starbucks, I go almost every week, it's very good and clean most of the people there are very nice. Until I went there this morning to get my usual refresher, and then there was this tall guy working there, I took a minute to choose what I wanted and then, he just started yelling at me and my friend,I don't even personally remember what he was saying , I just know that he was screaming at us for no damn reason and that got me so mad . The music is so loud. Is it a night club? So annoying and employees didn't listen. I'm assuming because they can't friggin hear!!!!

Cant follow simple drink instructions. The service was mid, put all stickers on one drink and got us confused. ​

WTF, pulled into this place and these people are idiots. Not only did we wait over 30 minutes in line when we pulled up to the drive through we still had to wait another 5 minutes when we arrived at the window. The guy at the window handed me two cold drinks and when I told him that the White Chocolate Mocha was supposed to be HOT he looked at me like I was lying to him. Then he looked at the label and saw that it was wrong. He never gave my my other drinks because he said they had to be made along with the other drink they messed up. I hate this location the most out of all of the ones in town. Once you're in line you're screwed. If I knew I was going to waist almost an hour trying to get three drinks, I would have spent my money elsewhere. For $20, you should have a lot better service and pay attention to the customers and not your phones. read more

It took them 20 minutes to make 2 drinks and still messed my drink up, this happens almost every week.

I have tried this location multiple times and it's always a miss. Either the coffee/cold brew tastes stale, the flies bombard the pick-up spot, or the manager - Megann - is completely and unnecessarily rude. I placed an online order so I didn't have to shout over the speaker. There were at least ten cars in line when I placed the order, so I promptly got in line as the order estimated time was 3-5 minutes. There are multiple reasons for placing the order online and then quickly picking up at this location: 1. If your order is made quickly, the flies will be on it; 2. If you order a hot menu item and a cold menu item, they will be placed together for who knows how long, and the cold menu item will be melted by the time you pickup; 3. You do not want to even try and interact with most of the employees here as they will likely ignore you and you could save the time trying. When I got to the speaker and told Megan that my online order was just placed, she shouted "IT WAS PLACED 55 SECONDS AGO!" Thanks, Megan. I too got the receipt. When I reached the window, she then decided to rant about me doing an online order and then quickly getting into line. I proceeded to tell her that the drive-through was quite full and it would take the estimated time or more to get up to the window; this is not my first time doing a Starbucks order. I also didn't appreciate being shamed on the speaker. She said they need at least 4 minutes to make a drink and I shouldn't get in line until it says my order pickup time. I was then able to remind her - and show her - that my order pickup time was five minutes past due. After that realization, she pointed to a sign inside that says there's an employee in training and that it will take longer. How am I supposed to see a sign indoors that indicates an employee is being trained? I asked her what I was expected to do now and she said I'd have to wait. She didn't say to get out of line, stay in line, no direction about the order. This was clearly a power move and not something I wanted to be a part of. I know this time of year is crazy and busy. I'm not surprised, however, that the turnover rate of employees in this store is often and it seems like they are scarce. The manager was so condescending and rude. I'm shocked that there aren't more reviews about the feeling you get from this location. I placed an order at the Berlin G/Main Street location. I was the only car in line, told them I just placed the order and received the response, "we got you! Come on down, we are working on getting that ready for you now." My order was in my hands quickly, the employee was kind, and the order was made correctly and fresh. read more

This is my favorite Starbucks. They make your drink quick and always with a smile! The baristas here are trained well because they quickly and efficiently make the drinks. The lobby is well maintained except when it gets busy, the tables can get dirty. But that is to be expected. I've seen them send someone out to refill the creamers and pick up the lobby, so it doesn't go unmaintained. I come here a lot - this is just my first time reviewing. You'll see me again! read more

Wed 2/1/23 10:30am My daughter was harassed at this Starbucks this morning for just trying to get a cup of coffee. When she approached the drive-through speaker, the girl/woman employee said, "Hi! My name is [so and so]. What's your name?!" My daughter was uncomfortable with this. It's inappropriate/boundary-crossing/not healthy to be asked for your personal information like this the moment you pull up to a drive-through speaker. My daughter responded, "Green Subaru." This should've been sufficient. The employee responded, "Oh! I remember you! You're the one who doesn't like to give her name." This was confrontational. My daughter, who has never been here before replied, "That must be someone else." The employee then began to harass my daughter saying, "Well, this is a Starbucks policy and if you have a problem with it you can contact Starbucks." My daughter said she wasn't interested in that and just wanted a cup of coffee. She asked if she could give her order. The employee continued to harass my daughter at the speaker bringing up the subject again, and repeating that if my daughter doesn't like the way she was greeted she can contact Starbucks. My daughter said, "What I'm really concerned about is getting my coffee and I don't want you to forget my order." The employee said, "Oh, no. It's already done." My daughter thanked the employee and pulled away from the speaker. When my daughter got to the window, instead of passing off the order to the employee working the window, the harassing employee made sure to be the one to approach my daughter. This was much further confrontational. The employee once again brought up the issue -- repeating to my daughter, "Again, this is a Starbucks policy and if you have a problem with it you can contact Starbucks." My daughter said very nicely, "I already said I don't want to discuss it any further." The employee then repeated herself yet again. My daughter was now being abused. She held up her hand to give the employee physical cues to stop invading her space. She turned her face away and busied herself on her phone, trying to wait for her coffee. The employee then began to threaten my daughter: "Yes, but you need to be nice." My daughter remained silent. When my daughter finally received her coffee (passed to her with passive-aggressive comments), it was made wrong. The employee had been so focused on what she was doing to my daughter that she couldn't do her job right. My daughter asked for the coffee to be re-made. She thanked the employee and as she drove off, the employee, determined to anger my daughter, bid my daughter goodbye with hostility, calling her "Sweetheart." We have instructed our daughter not to return to this Starbucks. Our family and friends will not be returning to any Starbucks after the way our daughter was treated. I am at this location every Saturday and Sunday morning. I am behind my computer for several hours first thing in the morning as I study software programming. The gals (Latoya and others) behind the counter are a wonderful bunch of folks. Love this place for a quick pick me up on my way to work. The customer service here is awesome! I usually get a Carmel Machiatto which is so incredibly delicious. As a snack I get the egg protein box but I don't eat the piece of bread that come in it. On occasion I've encountered vinegary eggs usually when I'm in a rush and don't have time to circle back for a refund. But most of the time it's a great healthy snack. This location was along my daily commute pre-covid and I was always incredibly impressed by the efficiency and peppy attitudes of all staff members. Even when the drive thru is ridiculously long, they usually get through everyone's orders fairly quickly with a positive attitude. I've been obsessed with Mobile ordering for years, and loved that this location nearly always had my order ready and waiting. And in the event that an item I ordered was sold out before I arrived, they thoughtfully let me know at pick up and would give me a gift card for my trouble. (Though I know this is standard practice, staff here usually took a moment to let me know why and verbally apologize) Sometimes it feels all Starbucks are made the same but it's not always the case. Went here today to enjoy some hot chocolate and they royally messed up our order. My husband suffers from migraines and can't have chocolate, BUT he can have white chocolate, so he ordered a white hot chocolate with double pumps of peppermint. What he got was a regular hot chocolate and no whip cream I ordered a salted caramel hot chocolate with whip cream and repeatedly asked for whip cream. When this location first opened the customer service and the drinks were better than any other in the immediate area. The drinks were made properly, the product was served with a smile. Flash forward a couple of years and all of the drinks taste like steamed milk, lack any flavor of coffee, espresso ect. The staff seems to care less, and God forbid you ask them to remake the drink becomes it doesn't taste good, they run down a laundry list of things that you (the customer) probably did to ruin the taste of your own drink. "Oh it must be that extra pump of sugar free vanilla that threw off the flavor" Or maybe it's the fact that you "Added a Stevia with the Sugar Free Vanilla" No, it could be that either your espresso machines aren't working properly or the baristas need to be trained to make the drinks properly. I can't count how much money I have spent at this location, but no more. I'm finally throwing in the towel. #done Try the one inside Target at Azalea Square, it's my new go to location. read more

I only can make a comment about their service because I didn't even have time to get a drink. No one was in line -except me-, I probably was waiting for 10 mins and no one had said a word. I got looks from just about every barista in there, yet no one had the courtesy or good service to even just let me know that'll be a minute or so. I went into the store thinking it'd be faster but I wish I just waited in the drive thur with the TWO other cars. I've been in the service industry for almost three years now and I looked younger than just about everyone working in there, and I still know how to take care of a customer. The Starbucks in Summerville / Nexton is a really good Starbucks location. The location is very convenient to get to off the interstate and is easy to access whether you go inside or use the drive thru. I really like the layout of the inside of the store as it is perfect for sitting and enjoying a drink or having a business meeting, or just finding a place to do some work interrupted. The service and staff are wonderful and work very fast and efficiently to make sure they get your order as fast as possible. I also really like the layout of the inside of the store as it is wide and open and has plenty of natural light. This is one of my favorite Starbucks in the Charleston area and I really like coming here. read more

This two stars is juat for the barista named "Mike". It seems like he is still a trainee but he did a awesome Job! There were 4 females working there but non of them smiles. As a matter of fact they have nasty attitude. We are group of 8 and ordered 10 total drinks. Two of them are the "trente" resfreshers. We ordered it via mobile even though we were sitting inside and surprisingly that Lady that was working on the cash register approached us and said that those drink were not meant for us it was a "mobile order".I showed her my phone and instead of apologizing she rolled her eyes! Really?! The location is perfect and all but the service sucks! That Mike guys deserves 100 stars! Dude you rock! Starbucks need to hire more like you! read more

This place was EXTREMELY busy at 9 am but the staff were champs. I've worked at a Starbucks in the past and can't even fathom dealing with this volume of guests as quickly as they did. Visited this Starbucks 5 minutes before they closed and was told they had thrown all of their food items away. #1 Why throw food away BEFORE you close? #2 Why throw food away at all. It would be best to donate them. I could certainly understand if they'd run out of a food item but I was told by the female working the drive-thru that everything is thrown out 15 before they close. My guess is that when the manager is present, the employee's will bring their A game, but there are still times when I go in and I wish I went across the street to the other Starbucks location to receive better service.
