I ordered The Vicious, and honestly, every single part of it was excellent. The biscuit was perfectly fluffy yet sturdy, the fillings were flavorful, and the whole thing came together in a ridiculously delicious way. It's clear they know how to do Southern biscuit creations right - generous portions, fresh ingredients, and bold flavors. The service was quick and friendly too. They had line ropes leading to the cashier which was an indicator of a rush that will come later. The cashier was very friendly, and made recommendations. I nearly lost all sense of time and place when I saw PIMENTO cheese grits. Whaaaaaat? Got those. Then I got a jalapeño, egg and cheese biscuit. They have self serve coffee, a "jam and butter bar" and super cool logo. I suggest you RUN (because you will need to burn off the calories) and not walk! All in with 20% tip because restaurant worker got eat too, $23. Ok, some personal perspectives on the food. The jalapeño biscuit was made with fresh jalapeños, a twist from the usual. The sausage,and egg were cooked to perfection and thick. The grits were smooth and melty. If you never had grits, this a good start, but there are many varieties, colors, and ways to prepare. In the low country you have to try them at several places to find you favorite. A little like Goldilocks and for many southerners a matter of personal taste. They do an unusual one, a pumpkin I think, loaded with flavor, really savory. If I had to nitpick one thing, it's the coffee. It's good, but it's not gourmet. They can't do a cortado or any real specialty drink, no flavored lattes, nothing like that. So the coffee itself is maybe a four out of five. Everything else is a five. My husband and I came here on our first morning in SC right after we moved here from out of state. I ordered the "vicious benny" which was eggs benedict with ham and hollandaise sauce. Everything about my benny tasted like it was meant for Queen Elizabeth (RIP) or someone of high caliber to be eating. It was so freaking good, that it didn't seem worthy of my peasant palate! In addition to the huge, fluffy, amazing biscuit, they did not forget to make the ham & hollandaise just as fantastic; ham had lots of unexpected flavor and I wanted to drink a bucket of the hollandaise sauce as I'm 100% sure it's the BEST one I've ever had. As someone who admittedly doesn't LOVE biscuits, I will say that Vicious makes some of the best I've had. I just went again recently and was quickly reminded that I need to make vicious biscuit a semi-regular thing. My two favorites are the flame thrower and the vicious, depending on how spicy I'm feeling. The bacon or potatoes are always a good side, but recently we tried the beignets and those are a new must have item. I'm always a fan of dipping things so I love trying all the different butters and jams, plus the coffees are amazing too. This was my first time visiting this spot. I loved the interior of the restaurant. There was hardly a line when I arrived so that was a plus as I was leaving though, the line was out the door. I don't like the waiting in line until you order (it took us over 30+ minutes of just standing in the heat outside, and then standing in the line inside to even order). If I go out to eat, I'd much rather sit at a table and order from there. This model turns what should be a sit down experience into a fast (slow) food feel. Located in Nexton which has quickly become one of my favorite areas to find good food in Summerville. Upon entering. I was greeted and given the opportunity to glance over the menu without being rushed. I let her know of my gluten allergy and she was quick to provide me with options. They have so many gluten-free options to choose from. It was my intent to dine-in but I needed to leave. I ordered a gluten-free biscuit with sides of grits, chicken sausage and a scrambled egg to-go. I was offered a cup of water as I waited. The restaurant had several customers dining in. The seating area is very spacious and I loved all of the natural lighting coming in. There's a bar with so many types of butters, jams and etc to choose from. One of the workers came over to help me and answered all my questions. That sweet potato butter was divine!!! I had the shrimp and grits, and while the flavor was solid, I was a little surprised to only get five small-to-medium shrimp. For the price, I expected jumbo or at least a few more. Still tasty, just not quite the shrimp celebration I was hoping for. A few things to note. I didn't see any high chairs available for infants or toddlers. Luckily, our daughter is in that in-between stage and managed in a regular chair with arms, but it's something to consider if you're bringing little ones. We sat outside, and unfortunately one of the shade covers was missing, so the patio seating didn't offer much relief from the sun. The fried green tomatoes were crispy on the outside, but the tomato itself was ice cold inside. Not sure if that was intentional, but it didn't hit right. On the plus side, they do accept tap pay, which is always a win for convenience. Overall, Vicious Biscuit is worth the visit, big flavors, busy vibe, and a few quirks. Would I go back? They have lots of different flavors of butter and jam to put on them. The ambiance is loud and lively, and the staff is really lovely. They bus the tables regularly. My parents both really enjoyed their meals. I do wish they were a bit more mindful about the vegetarians in the world. Majority of everything on the menu is meat based. I got Ubereats so didn't realize this location is on Front Street. That should have been my first clue. My husband had been gifted a breakfast biscuit from Biscuit Bros by our neighbor the day before and I was so jealous I ordered *5* biscuits from Vicious Biscuit because my BFF went to a different location months ago and I finally took her recommendation, but obviously chose the wrong location. ALL of the biscuits were undercooked. Not crisp but brown on the top but doughy and mushy in the middle. Not acceptable in South Carolina, where biscuits are a religion. The Nashville Hot Chicken was a big ol slab of spicy breaded and sauced breast. Flavorful and tender, but ruined by a mushy undercooked biscuit. The Hen Solo got a thumbs-down when compared with similar items from other unnamed places. The undercooked biscuit was again the fail point. The chicken breast was as nice as in the Nashville version. Silence of the Hams received similar thoughts. The eggs on all involved, requested over-medium, were great, perfectly gushy despite the road trip. Give your egg guy a raise! That earns the second star. The first star is you exist as a restaurant and serve food. The pulled pork in the Holy City Cubano was noxious. It had a fishy smell and taste, and I ate more tasting bites than I should have, being more gourmand than gourmet, and was gifted with some horrendous gas, unhappy tummy, and then bathroom visits that overstayed their welcome. My wise husband told me (for the second time, see my Lanna review for the first) that if the pork smells fishy, it is bad. The candied bacon in the Animal Farm is fun, and that biscuit was pretty good albeit still undercooked. Now I am irritated about the money I spent on biscuits I could have made better myself and eager to taste these allegedly great Biscuit Bros. No one wins. This place is located in a very nice location that's worth visiting alone. It looks brand new and very well maintained. We visited around 11 am on a Monday which happened to fall on Labor Day and the line was out the door but it was moving fairly quickly. This place has indoor and outdoor seating but you'll have to place your own orders, as there aren't any servers that take your orders. However, they bring your orders to your table and continue to check on you to see if you need anything. We ordered the fat boy, the viscious, potatoes, and a side of gravy. The biscuit was delicious and flaky and buttery and the chicken was cooked to a crisp perfection. The pimento on the poboy melts in your mouth and the side of gravy set it to the top. They also have a ton of jams and whipped butters in their jam bar and my favorite was the maple butter but all the jams were really tasty. They have a wall that they currently update with customer reviews which was entertaining and very funny to read. Everything was made to order and tasted absolutely fresh. The potatoes were really good but I wish they had a different seasoning - they were a little plain for my liking. The employees were all very welcoming and friendly and all appeared to be interesting in pleasing their customers.
