This spot has the makings to be a really great Starbucks. It's located on the same parking lot as the Cheshire Inn Hotel so there's lots of parking overall, but only 5 or 7 spots are dedicated to Starbucks customers. This isn't exactly a location you would expect people to walk to since it's right off the highway. Inside there is plenty of seating and outlets for dozens of people to work and meet. Definitely a dark, tavern atmosphere, but I think it's funky and unique for a Starbucks. Most of my complaint comes from my drink I ordered; I confirmed an iced oatmilk shaken espresso three times with the cashier and when she made it, it came out without oatmilk substitute. She was willing to remake but I didn't have time on my stop there. Also, the coffee tasted burnt which is never something you want. I would be happy to retry this location, especially if I'm trying to stay a while to work because it is such a nice spot. read more

I ordered the chocolate chocolate chip Frappe. Beware this is super chocolatey and sweet. I could not finish it but it was good. Was disappointed I could not use my Starbucks app here and gift card. This location may as well be my favorite location in the STL area! It's located in the Cheshire Inn so the building is really cool and has a "pub like" atmosphere with bricks and dark wood. I don't feel like I am in a Starbucks, instead, I feel like I am hanging out at a pub somewhere in England and I like it a lot. Parking was easy to find as there is a lot out front. They also have quite a few spots available for the "pick up" options for mobile ordering. When I arrived earlier today, I could not choose a beverage and I asked the barista to choose her favorite new holiday themed drink and she delivered with the Gingerbread Latte (iced). And truly, it is so tasty! This might be my go to beverage for the winter. I did not add any additional shots or flavors. I also ordered a chocolate croissant to snack on while working for a bit. They offer free wifi so I was able to get a bit of work done before heading into the office. There are 2 different seating sections available and the table I was able to sit at, had a really cool window as part of my view. I liked it a lot. Honestly, I cannot wait to visit this location again soon. read more

Doesn't matter if you try to kill these types with kindness, they are miserable people and nothing can change that. If you are lucky enough to be asked your name when you order, you better stand right next to the pick up counter so you can hear them whisper your name into the crowed space. Also they don't what you to know they have a public bathroom, so it's back in the corner past the pick up counter with an inconspicuous grey plaque that reads "WC" on the door. Am I really rating a Starbucks with 4 stars? Yes - b/c it is hands down the best starbucks in the area to go meet a friend or do some work. You already know the deal with drinks and food, there isn't anything out of the ordinary. However, they do not do online drink order/picks. However, this place has a fireplace and lots of indoor and outdoor seating in a well-light, but cozy atmosphere in Hi-pointe. BTW- parking is tricky at times b/c of Basso, Boundary, and the Hotel. This location is in easy walking distance from my work. Its the perfect distance to go get myself a treat before/after work or on my lunch. Typically busy in the mornings, but depending on when I've gone during the day, service has been quick. I love sitting in front of the fireplace during the cold months (love that it even has a fireplace). Probably my preferred location out of the three or four i can easily get to. This location is quiet and tucked away. I don't understand the Starbucks language since I'm not a coffee drinker of frequent visitor. I was in a hurry this morning so I unfortunately I wasn't able to stop and sit. I was just happy to find the closet Starbucks off highway 64 eastbound to grab my morning dose of crack. This location is connected to the Cheshire Inn Hotel. It has it's own entrance so no need to go all the way inside the hotel lobby to get here. The parking lot was tight and spaces scarce but I was desperate so I parked illegally and made a mad dash for it, lol.. No drive-thru, bummer. But the interior was super cool and chic. I immediately noticed these awesome toffee colored leather ottoman style stools for seating. The decor was almost like no other Starbucks I'd seen. Then I found out this location is actually owned by the hotel itself, just FYI in case you care. Staff was mediocre but whatever, I go for the coffee fix. Can't wait to return so I can actually chillax and enjoy the ambiance a bit. read more

Who hasn't been to Starbucks before? Well the coffee and food quality is just what I expected, so that's good. (I got a tall dark roast with a splash of cream and a spinach feta wrap.) This review is more so about the location, which is super cute and adjacent a local Inn. Check out the great exterior! Tons of seating both inside and outside. This is the Starbucks that I went to often when I lived in Dogtown as it was a nice stroll from my apartment. The coffee is always good, the staff friendly, and the shop large enough to accommodate lots of folks. In the winter time they usually have the fire going, though the seats near the fireplace fill up pretty quick. The outdoor seating is plentiful as well. If you're looking for a place to work, this is a good place. I understand they're pretty busy what with the typical Starbucks traffic plus the hotel, but the cleanliness was so-so. The parking lot can be a bit chaotic though, as it shares space with the hotel and restaurants Basso and Boundary. read more

I was ending my stay at the Cheshire and needed (yes...needed) some caffeine before an early morning flight. I asked the hotel clerk for the nearest coffee shop and he directed me here. It's Starbucks. Generally, for me, they're a 3 star, a-ok experience at best. But a few things made my visit to this Starbucks to be a cut above. Firstly, the atmosphere is darling. Comfortable seating surrounding a cozy fireplace during cool weather, and a charming, umbrella donned patio for warmer days. Also? The workers. Friendly, efficient, and conscientious. Beyond their crafting of my beverage, I observed them interacting with other (somewhat particular) java seekers and they were patient and accommodating. Finally...Starbucks recently rolled out a new beverage. It's a cinnamon almond milk macchiato. And? It is delicious. Iced or hot, either way it's just plain good. For the most part, I tend toward independent coffee houses. But, on a day when I needed a quick coffee before catching a cab to the airport, this Starbucks sure came through! Get to it! read more

This Starbucks is super cute, as if there was a Starbucks on the way to Mordor. Its quaint Hobbit Like setting is the perfect place to sip on a Keto Pink Drink and solve murders. The staff is a laugh riot and sometimes distracting when I am trying to piece together a juicy whodunit. They always have a smile on their faces and no carbs in the drinks. I just love sipping my KPD and solving cold cases in this pub like underground coffee shop. If you see me there don't say hello as I am probably minuets away from finding out who Jack the Ripper is. The fireplace is a great feature during the cold months. This all makes this Starbucks a good place to meet up with friends or to take work and study. Hands down, the coziest, most uniquely styled Starbucks location in St. Louis? The ultimate opposite of the new, drive-thru focused locations that have been opening? This is a corporate coffeehouse that encourages some lingering. The interior is richly themed: an olde English pub, complete with wood-burning hearth, dark timbers and beautiful, stained glass windows. Old meets new when it comes to amenities though. Mobile ordering is available and quick, the menu and music are the same as at most other stores, and there's WiFi. In addition to the two indoor spaces, with plenty of patio tables in front of the shop (there's not much of a view per se, but the option is nice), I really cannot think of a better Starbucks for a meet-up. read more

A smile goes a long way, and so does a lack of one. Walking into this Starbucks, this past afternoon, I immediately felt like the baristas hated their jobs. A positive is that after they got my order wrong the first time due to the cashier accidentally writing the wrong order on the cup, a barista redid it without hesitation and said I was fine for asking. The drink was delicious. But still, the atmosphere just felt angry because of the lack of eye contact and the R.B.F. in the baristas. Probably won't be returning to this location, at least at lunch time, anymore. read more

I should start this off by saying that the barista who made my drink was very nice, efficient and my drink was just as expected. The state of the shop, however, was absolutely unacceptable. After I ordered my drink and paid I realized that the front counter had a thin layer of dust over it (and all the retail cups), the cream/sugar counter was disgusting; there was dried, spilled coffee everywhere (it looked like it hadn't been wiped all day), they were out of almost everything, and the garbage cans were completely full and trash was spilling over on the counters. There were also smashed pastries in multiple places on the floor. I feel bad for the barista because she clearly didn't have time to address any of it and there didn't appear to be anyone else working. read more

Yes, it's cool to hate Starbucks and I wish The Market was still here but these things happen. I came here for a meeting and was pretty nervous to see what happened to one of my favorite spots to get work done/have meetings and, of course, eat lunch. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. They changed a lot but it's still very cozy, has plenty of unique spots to sit, and even has a standing desk/table. This is by far the coolest Starbucks I've ever been to in St. Louis. It has a swanky/homey east-coast ambiance. You can even cozy up against the fireplace! The coffee was good but the staff was downright horrible! They made fun of customers as soon as the customer had walked out of the store, they sat there on their cell phones while I was waiting to order, and while I was trying to give me order I was ignored and had to repeat my order twice because some person had to show another person a thing on their phone. To top it off my husband went to ask where the bathroom was but because the place was old English style he decided to ask in semi old English (old English but understandable) and those obnoxious children waited until he was gone in the rest room before literally making fun of him. Yes. It's a Starbucks and as such, you have a certain degree of certainty in your experience, whether you like it or not. So, going to Starbucks is a lot less about the coffee than about the location of the store. Each store's location has it's own flavor and flair, and this Starbucks continues that tradition. I think the highlight of this location is the outdoor seating (obviously, when it's nice outside!). In the middle of a ton of traffic on Clayton Rd, this place somehow cultivates the sense of being set away. The interior is large and good for studying (lots of plugs). To reply to Peter B's review, I was able to redeem offers at this location yesterday, so I guess it's changed from a licensed Starbucks to a regular Starbucks! Yay! read more

I have been to this location about three times and each time. They have the same young teenagers working, & they are always loud and obnoxious. It's just very unprofessional while I'm waiting for my drink I shouldn't hear someone saying" I don't want to take orders I'll rather make them ". I feel like I'm at McDonald's instead of Starbucks. New employees are needed that are more professional. Each time the young black girl is working I just feel like she plays more than work & this is not a racist comment because I am black myself.
