We needed a spot with WiFi to fire off some work and tried to find local coffee but ultimately settled here. It was a beautiful day and it worked out well to snag a spot on their nice patio. The bathrooms here are locked and you will (embarrassingly) need a barista to walk you into the bathroom. Would love if they just put the keycode on the receipt like most cities but alas. All I got were some chocolate almonds but they were good, the WiFi worked well, and I love the Central West End. In fact, I'd go out of my way to stay near here in the future based on the proximity to coffee, restaurants, highways, and Forest Park. read more

I came in today to pick up an order for my staff. I came in about 730 and my order was taken about five minutes after I got there and ready at 8 o'clock. I will say they were very slammed with tons of customer is not including the online orders. One of my orders was incorrect and I had advised him a bed and a quickly fixed the issue without having me wait any longer. All the staff members were very kind and patient. I'm not big on writing Starbucks reviews, and I usually don't bother checking in to them unless I want to write one for a reason or I'm keeping score how many times I visit. With that said, today I had a reason. I've fine it hard to believe it has a health score of "A" maybe that's for behind the counter cleanness. I came in to meet a friend and pick up my usual Latte which was 6.38 almost a full dollar more than Chicago. I digress, the restroom was beyond dirty, granted it was about 12:30, but did they clean last night or before open? Didn't look like it, just dirt on top of dirt, just yuk! The baseboard were dirty along with the grout and even in the store it was this way. The only reason for the two stars was the friendly employees. The old Yelp I really wanted to like this place, because for me it's a quick walk from my STL digs. Lucky for me there are some other options. This will an only if I have to stop. read more

I love the location and its outdoor seating area of this Starbucks. Turn your outdoor chair around so that it faces the sidewalk and pretend you're at a Parisian cafe watching the world go by. On a cold or rainy day, they have a very nice indoor area to sit in. They have breakfast sandwiches, salads, snacks of many types. My husband always buys his whole bean coffee here. We love to come down with our dog to get a coffee, frappicino (sp) and a snack to people watch. They also have tea for the tea drinkers. The location doesn't have a drive thru but it's pretty easy for me to past and be able to walk to both businesses quickly on a Sunday morning. Order ahead is fast and easy here. I think this is the last time I'm coming to this location. Every day this week I ordered a Blonde Vanilla Latte and every time I receive a plain latte. Today I decided to call in and ask for a refund. The woman who answered the phone said to come back and they'll fix it. Unfortunately I'm well on my way to the office. So I ask how about tomorrow? She said that fine but when I asked who I should ask for she seemed bothered by the question and said "I don't know who is going to be here tomorrow" and then started to talk to another customer and hung up on me. I've been to this store a few times. About a month ago I ordered online. When I got to the store, a barista with green hair told me that I ordered from a different store. I had the coldbrew with cinnamon oatmilk foam and it was delicious! The oat milk foam sits at the top and you get a rich nutty and creamy bit of foam with every sip of the coldbrew. As someone who normally drinks black coffee, I was looking for subtle flavors instead of something super sweet, and I was not disappointed! The baristas were very friendly too! With some of the lackluster service at the surrounding restaurants and cafes, I have to give Starbucks props for cranking out the drinks in a timely, efficient, and customer oriented manner. Something that can't be said (at least not all three) of the surrounding restaurants I tried while in St. Louis. This Starbucks is fairly large for being centrally located in the Central West End, It also has seating in a sun room that is probably only open during the warmer months. They do all of the promotions and the baristas know what they are doing since I am the queen of complicated orders. Bonus, they spell my name right. Matcha Green Tea latte- Almond Milk, low ice, 3 pumps of sugar free vanilla, and an extra scoop of matcha- 80 calories for a grande! Grande Ice blonde coffee in a venti cup- fill it to the brim with your own choice of dairy. Americano with a splash of almond milk and 3 pumps of sugar free hazelnut. The staff/service is great, really friendly. The bathrooms are always clean. The place is busy at times so it is hard to find seating. It doesn't feel like an ultramodern space and there is an add on for seating that has a really cool vibe. Behind the location at the Cheshire Inn on western side of Forest Park, this is probably the most unique Starbucks in St. Louis. Service is quick, the staff are personable (even when slammed under the morning rush) and the atmosphere is a little less corporate in feel. There's little mistaking that you're in a Starbucks when you step in the door, but it's also distinctly the Central West End Starbucks. Skim the reviews (or Google Maps) and you'll find just about all that you need to know for a great visit to this walkable store. There's no dedicated parking lot or pickup spot, but there a few sturdier places to lock up a bike on the block. (Drivers do have options though. There's a public garage above the Schlafly Library on Euclid and metered parking along the street. Free street parking is often available to the east of the shop on Maryland Ave and there's a paid parking lot across the street too). There's no drive-thru, but mobile orders are usually accepted. The location isn't that large, but does have a good mix of semi-communal seating, small tables, sidewalk seating and a couple of more comfortable chairs. If there's really any complaint with the store, it's the minor irritation of its tendency to sell out of products, whether it's Blonde Roast, breakfast sandwiches or Nitro Cold Brew (each of which have been unavailable at least once during my random stops in over the past year). I've never had that affect an app order but, if you have your mind set on a particular item, it's probably best to order ahead. read more
