I've been visiting this location for too many years to count as it's located down the street from my house. While there have been a few times where they did not deliver, honestly, they hit in stride more often than not. I am not too difficult of a customer when it comes to my complexity of an order (Black drip coffee), but they always leave enough room for additional cream and sugar and brew the coffee well. This Starbucks is right next to my gym I walked over and just asked for an iced water but they refused to give me one because they said I needed to make a purchase?? So I waited in line for HOURS at Starbucks for their new merch drop like so many others who even camped out overnight Minutes before doors open turns out employee (Samantha aka jinx) had already bought most of the merch before anyone even got inside. When I asked about it, the worker got rude instead of understanding that people waited all night for this. Starbucks really needs to fix this set limits, stop employee pre-sales, and make it fair for customers who actually show up and wait. Also other employees (jacob and one other girl along with Samantha) on shift where all laughing and being very unprofessional about this situation and rude. Always order ahead of time on the mobile app and they always have it ready in time. Staff is friendly and follow directions very well for the drinks we order. I usually customize my coffee drink because I don't want a super sugary coffee. I usually get their cold coffee with light ice and it's very good. This morning I stopped at this Starbucks to get my morning coffee on the way to work. I have the Starbucks app and I collect stars for using my own coffee cup. I like to use my own creamer for dietary concerns. Jakob a Starbucks employee refused to sell me a coffee because he claimed my coffee cup is dirty? Jakob told me he would sell me a coffee in a new paper cup , but no discount for my cup or Stars for using my own cup? I left the store and drove 1 mile to another Starbucks in a Safeway and the employee there sold me a coffee with discount and Starucks stars. What a hassle this morning for my coffee? read more

Starbucks is my go to for taking lunch during my Truck driving day. The Sonoma Starbucks is reliably good, clean bathrooms, good coffee, and friendly Staff. Some Starbucks are better than others for particular reasons, including the seating. There's some that have nothing but hard wooden seats, and others that have lots of padded chairs that are soft, like the Sonoma one, and that's preferable. The staff here is great too, including Gregor, who opens the Sonoma Store. He's super friendly and helpful, and goes out of his way to be kind and helpful to me, memorizing what I like and getting it ready as soon as he sees me. He obviously loves his job and does a very good job at making people feel taken care of. I highly recommend this store because of him and his enthusiasm for what he does. It really shines through. Not all Starbucks are as good as the Sonoma store. Come in there in the morning and you'll see. Ok I am coming back and updating this review to a TEN STAR review for Gregor and Ruby specifically! In the last few days I had my power shut off in the PSPS, and this amazing opening duo were there to reduce and eliminate almost all the stress from having no power to charge my devices or even make coffee at home! Of all the Starbucks I go to, Gregor and Ruby are my favorite two baristas! They know what I like and make it as soon as they see me arrive, they go out of their way to make me feel cared about, and to make sure that I have everything possible that I need with everything that they have available. I cannot speak highly enough of these two. They deserve employee of the year! Thank you SO MUCH Gregor and Ruby! There were other great people there too, but those two stand out above and beyond. I can see them do it with other people too, so it's not just me that they make feel this way. Thanks again! I'm a fan for life! This place is just like every other Starbucks... clean establishment.. it didn't look like a big store or too busy from the outside but pretty spacey with a line with two workers...The workers handled the rush very well and got the drinks out pretty fast. Both workers seemed very experienced. Drink was made to perfection. The location has chairs and tables if needed for work or just to have coffee with friends and some chatter. I stop here every once in a while to do some work when I'm in Sonoma but this was the first time I'd been helped by Gregory (hope I caught his name correctly!). If I lived in Sonoma, I'd come here more often! I'm 32 weeks pregnant so have to be conscious of my caffeine intake. Gregory answered my caffeine question so I knew which drink would be best for me. Little did I know, the drink I originally wanted had way more caffeine in it then I thought! He was very helpful and took great care of me and was super sweet once he saw my baby bump making great conversation and understood why I was asking about caffeine amounts. This Starbucks has the worst employees! THE WORST! July 9th 2019 the two employees who worked at 5:30 pm The guy working the coffee bar did not know how to make drinks. Clearly not a barista! My sister and I ordered two iced chai and the employee added espresso. We didn't order the chai dirty. Also he stemmed the milk and added steamed milk to the iced cup. Clearly he had no training and his co worker seemed not to care. Starbucks used to be a great place to grab coffee but now it's filled with employees who don't care at all about the customer experience. Charging a customer $5 for a latte is already a lot and having terrible customer service makes me never want to support Starbucks. I much rather support a local business. read more

I went in to order a breakfast sandwich and coffee, the guy taking my order at the front counter was very rude and dismissive when he told me they were out of sandwiches. In my opinion when you are already giving someone bad news you should try to be a little more understanding or at least not so dismissive of the fact you are out of product before 10am. On my way out of town I then placed a mobile order for a coffee and when my husband when in to pick it up this kid had the audacity to question my husband on his whereabouts that day because he looked familiar. We were disappointed by the service. We were traveling through town on a Sunday morning and used the mobile order service. After waiting and only getting one of our two drinks, my husband inquired about the other one. The person responding barely looked at him and said someone else probably took it (we'd been standing there the whole time). Instead of looking at the actual order, he said abruptly what was the order? We said iced coffee and I added "with cream and vanilla". He poured some coffee on ice and set it on the bar and turned away. I thought he added the vanilla but just didn't put cream in so I used the half and half at the self serve counter. We ordered the Peach green tea lemonade and my husband forgot to say just 4 pumps of the syrup when he placed in our order so I brought it back and ordered another tea and James took care of it even though it was my husbands mistake. James and the other staff were both very pleasant and courteous. I'm a realtor who travels all over Bay Area and go to Starbucks all over the bay so I'm used to seeing Starbucks employee who looks serious and barely smiles. The staff is very friendly, they often hold wonderful conversations with long time patrons that they know. This is a nice SB. Kind of small. But the people are all very nice and it is always mellow and laid back inside. The bathrooms are clean and the staff is quick to smile and quick to get your drink.
