Exterior, Monday 11 September 2023.

Stopping by the Starbucks on Midvale Avenue North today, Monday 11 September 2023, I arrived to find the interior quiet and calm. A few customers were sitting inside and outside and there was not a line for placing an order. After coming through here a number of times growing up as part of a church group in which most people ordered drinks, I decided to deviate from the past and order a couple of the bakery items. I went with a baked apple croissant and cinnamon coffee cake, both of which I got warmed up. The worker who took my order also warmed the items up and handed me the bags when the items were ready. The combined price with tax was less than $8 for both items. Other customers were mindful and I was in and out quickly. The croissant was flaky, rich, and moist. The pastry was in a muffin-ish shape with seasoned apple chunks at the top of the croissant with the croissant corners folded on top, which kind of made it feel like I was opening a present as I ate it. For the coffee cake, the top was not too crumbly and the cake was buttery. Cinnamon was subtle. I enjoyed both items and found each to be a good serving size.

Such a kind and helpful group of people

Such an amazing and kind group of people! Always super welcoming. I had an issue and they helped me right away 15/10

Homie got me hooked on iced teas. The chorizo bfast sammie is decent. (11/25/16)

Compared to other Starbucks locations, I've been to these counter baristas are very pleasant. No matter how crowded and slammed they can get, always smiling and friendly. I don't think I could manage that. Usually I'm an indie cafe person. However, after combining all of my gift cards received and using the rewards system, it's becomes a great deal and a convenient stop. My consistent favorites include: venti iced black teas, chicken sandwiches with the positive affirmation statements, chorizo breakfast sandwiches, and the chocolate croissants. Totally amazed how low key it is this morning....probably because everyone are at the malls and box stores for Black Friday. I'm just chilling, Yelping, and have a bit of breakfast before watching the Apple Cup. Plus love their retro Motown R&B soundtrack, reminds me of my late father as the holiday season has commenced. Plus Starbucks got its start in Seattle before it became a global phenomenon as a 'third place'. I love their consistency and customer service at this location.

Lovely store!

sadly a deeply mediocre experience. took absolutely forever (in part because there was only one guy…read moreworking the whole shop, which isn't feasible when you are trying to serve hot food AND make drinks) and the food/coffee was mid and overpriced. i had an avocado toast (and even asked if they use fresh avocado, to which they said yes)...it was ice cold pre-packaged avocado atop cold bread. for $7.50!! my husband ordered the ham breakfast sandwich which came lukewarm. all this after we waited about 15 minutes. and again, i feel for the guy who was clearly running this place by himself. but they're just trying to do too much. coffee was also pretty mid, another $5 latte prepared without much care or attention. just fizzy oat milk dumped into a cup. when it's $30 + tip for breakfast and coffee for two to-go, i'd just expect a lot more. also, i see a lot of other people like the ambiance?? very confused by this, it's just another textbook standard gentrified coffee shop with an expensive letterboard, industrial lighting, and metal chairs.

I found this place via inKind rewards. The space itself is very cute with lots of great seating…read moreoptions. Parking was easy to find out front. I tried the gluten-free trailblazer cookie, and it was absolutely delicious. Loved all the additions to it to make it a more robust cookie. I also had the lavender latte which was tasty and not too strong a lavender taste.

I've tried a lot of banh mi spots in California, and this place easily compares to some of the best…read morespots in the San Gabriel Valley. First off, the variety is impressive. They have a wide range of banh mi fillings, from the classics to some harder to find options like roast pork, so there's something for everyone. My personal favorite is the crispy roast pork banh mi. The pork has that perfect crackly skin with juicy, flavorful meat underneath. Paired with the pickled veggies, fresh cilantro, and a light spread of mayo on a crusty baguette, it hits all the right textures and flavors. I also love the special banh mi with all the different meats. It's basically the greatest hits lineup with savory cold cuts, pâté, and other cured meats layered together for a rich, satisfying bite every time. It's hearty without being overwhelming, and the balance of fresh and savory components is spot on. And don't skip the drinks. The egg coffee was surprisingly excellent. The Vietnamese coffee base had a deep, bold flavor with that classic slightly bitter edge, and the creamy whipped egg topping added a smooth, lightly sweet contrast. It felt indulgent but still very coffee forward. Overall, this is a great banh mi spot for me with the great variety, tasty sandwiches, and a standout egg coffee to round it all out. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the mood for a quality banh mi.
