Coffee is always good, prices are good. Quick service, they offer breakfast food aswell. Stand is well kept, not much in the way of ambiance. But friendly staff make up for that. read more

It seems a bit grandiose to offer a drive-through espresso place five stars, but, really, how much do you ask of a place when you look to loosen a couple of bones in your wallet and get some hot coffee when you're on the way to somewhere else? You want pleasant service, and you want good coffee to the specs you request. This place delivers. The girls are nice, the prices are fair, the coffee is hot, the beans have plenty of flavor. There are a bunch of other things happening here, most likely involving greasy muffins you could get at a gas station, and there were definitely rumors afoot at the time of my visit regarding breakfast sandwiches. I was ordering a Redbull Italian soda awhile back and the worker, I'm not sure oh their pronouns, but I could assume a he, proceeded to violently shake the tip jar, as I was replying to a text after he took my order. I have been going to this coffee stand for 3 years, almost everyday. Most of the baristas know me and know what drink I normally get. I am no longer going here because of theft. I caught one of the baristas who charged me exactly $7.00 on the receipt, separate from the tip. The total was $6.05 for the drink I got. I took the receipt, tipped the barista and left. I didn't see the receipt until later that day. I understand if it was an accident, but because of that mistake I will no longer be going there. I don't trust it. read more

My drink is a simple mocha, and this place does it perfectly. They use Cafe D'arte coffee, and the ration of milk to coffee to chocolate in a 16oz is perfect - the right mix of sweet to bitter. Even better, almost every barista here makes excellent foam, which everyone knows is the best part. This is truly THE place for the best chai tea latte around. It is the Caffe D'arte product along with knowing the perfect blend of milk. Cudos to the owner & barrista's @ Espresso Break. This spot became my go to place for a cup of morning Zen the 4 years I lived in MLT. When I moved to South Seattle and then back to Edmonds, I have continued & ALWAYS found a way to get here when I need that incredibly calming cup of chai. I will drive out of my way for this BEST of drinks. It's also a plus that the owner and this business is community involved. You see her & her staff @ every summer parade in MLT, they are next door to the annual Trunk or Treat: which my grandkids have loved since 2009. A local business with a broader impact. ... THANK YOU! I began going to Starbucks in 1984 on Capital Hill near my work place, but Espresso Break taught me what a chai tea should taste like. No more watered-down, over-priced generic tea since 2009 for me! A huge thing for me with coffee stands is consistency. I don't want to order the same thing two days in a row and have it taste completely different each day. That's why I can't stand Starbucks. I ordered the same latte on two separate occasions at Espresso Break, with a different barista working each day. The flavor of the coffee was consistent, and wonderful. That's how all coffee stands should be. The service is excellent, bubbly employees. The coffee really is amazing though! Great quality! One of the best coffee stands I have ever been to. Hands down best coffee! I was a barista for many years and definitely a snob when it come to my coffee but these girls get it perfect every time. I've been coming to this stand for a couple years now and have gotten to see how involved the owner is with the community and seriously WOW! This women does so much good! She really is an incredible and inspirational business owner. The team at espresso break are some of the most lovely gals too! This place really has it all, seasonal drinks, punch cards (double punch Wednesday) animal crackers for my little one, dog bones for my fur babies and speedy personable service every time. There is a reason this is a local favorite. Delicious drinks, prices way lower than Starbucks, and super friendly baristas every time. They offer a punch card and some days are double punch days, getting you that free drink even faster. The do great things for the community like school supply drives. We always help collect and put together backpacks for students in need before each school year. This is really great coffee! My wife gets her morning coffee here multiple times weekly. They offer a punch card and have a huge variety of coffee types and flavorings and a good amount of pastries. Love treating myself to coffee here after dropping the kids off at school nearby. New to MLT, the baristas quickly making you feel like a regular - remembering your drink preference, greeting you authentically, etc. Love the punch card and daily deals. I like that they don't "over-cream" the coffee; I like just a smidge and they get it right. Step up & offer real whipped cream, no not bought in a can, but putting fresh cream into a canister & maybe find a better Coffee supplier.. Then you can be in the 4-5 stars bracket. read more

First time in Seattle and I'm loving it!! They have these little espresso bars everywhere on almost every corner. They blow Starschmucks away! I've tried a variety of their drinks and all of them are good! Perfect balance between nutty espresso and sweet.

I hate to do this, but each of the handful of times I've come through for coffee it has been pretty awful. My drink is a double short soy latte. I don't like a lot of milk, because I like coffee and want to taste it. The folks who work here are very nice, but the coffee is weak and the last time I went through they made my drink with cow milk though I ordered soy. It tasted over steamed (scorched) and again really weak. I want to love this place because it's so convenient, but I've been disappointed every time. read more
