Barista would not sell me a cup of ice. When asked why she said it was the law. She asked if I wanted to speak to manager who then said it's their policy not the law. When I said that he should instruct his employees to give the right info he said that she did and lied about it. She clearly stated it was the law. I'm a regular at this store and never had a problem. This "manager" talk young man with dark hair to his shoulder refused to say how long he's worked there when I asked if he was new. Not good to lie in a customer's face and accuse them of cursing when that never happened. Whoever this "manager" is he definitely needs more training or he needs to go!! Have you ever gone into a coffe shop, the exact same one that you have been going to for more than 7 years, and the cashier tells you it's against the Health Code to sell you something a paricular way? (unheated double smoke bacon breakfast sandwich - yes, i'm gaming the buy seperately 3 times, get 90 stars). i was surprised and my BS light lit brightly. When i asked the poor young barista to state which health code (state law) it violates, their response pivots to its against company policy. When i mention i have made this purchase many times before the response is those employees didn't know company policy. Now, i cant attest to the factuality of that statement, but considering i travel a fair bit, and have not ever experienced a surprise like this before in 20+ states and literally 100's of starbucks i have visited, i'm left to feel sorry for all those uninformed Barista's OR maybe .... this is a new company policy or simply this stores policy. i'll have to run a double blind experiment to find out. read more

This is the best all around Starbucks I have been to in some time while traveling through multiple states. Employees are very customer service oriented, very friendly and communicative. I received my coffee and food in a timely manor. My coffee was perfect. Strong enough to taste coffee without bitterness. Just the right addition of steamed heavy cream as well. The spinach feta wrap was delicious. This Starbucks did not disappoint. I drove 14 miles (28 when drive back) out of my way from Port Angeles just to go to this Starbucks as I was dissatisfied with the non service stand alone one in Port Angeles. When arriving after a two hour drive, the wait was at minimum of 20 minutes for my drink. If you order refills, they charge you full price. Every Starbucks I've been to either charge 50 cents or as at most places.... free refills. AND they do not promote recycling. Such shame. If I could give zero stars, I would. read more

This is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. I waited 35 minutes to get our order. Only to find out they did not make the drink the way I specified nor was it hot. After I had waited 30 minutes, I went up to someone at the counter to make sure that my order was in the queue... She said if you ordered at the counter, it's in the queue and you just have to wait. Good fast service! I put my order in through the app and it was there waiting for me when I arrived protected from the usual pickup area where people are less than 6 ft away when walking by - thanks for taking extra precautions with the new lids that don't have spout plugs to keep germs out! That being said I arrived and didn't know how I was going to carry my coffee with crutches but a nice veteran wearing a mask jumped to my aid and opened doors for me and even carried my drink to my car to help me out. I have found that most of the Starbucks store I visit, have very nice folks working there. This is my go to Starbucks, where the employees know my name and they engage in friendly banter.. I became a regular at this location mainly because of the advantages of being able to order ahead through the app. Beverages were always accurate and at the right temperature at the time of pick up. Lately (over the past 3 months) this has not been the case, even with the store empty the orders are 10-20 minutes late and drinks are awful. The staff is Unprofessional, they are always joking around and not taking their job seriously. I know it is different times and hard to hire people willing to work these days but I feel like there should be at least one "adult"staff member present at all times to maintain order and quality control. It is the least customers deserve after paying what we pay for these beverages. I will be going back to local coffee stands. read more

Been through here 3 times. I always like to give benefit of the doubt for variables but this Starbucks has now qualified for my 3 strikes and your out review. If you have a new person at the register and she doesn't know how to ring someone with multiple gift cards and then said customer cannot get her card to read and then decides to make another order after that THIS is the time to open the other register and help the person who had been waiting 8 min behind her. Handing someone two of something they ordered with no explanation does not make up for this as the "something" I ordered was not even what I wanted in the first place but you were out of everything else. So I ended up handing it to a nice gentleman and his son. So I guess I at least paid it forward. Then when getting a refill for a iced coffee we waited another 10 min which I've never seen. When the man started to pour a cold brew I realized why we waited so long (maybe) as the new girl out in Cold brew refill instead of reg. Which again is not what we wanted as I don't like the flavor but had already lost 30 min here so we decided to just take it and get on our way. Every visit has been close to the same so I hardly blame the new girl. I think it is the shift lead that is creating this issue as it's been the same one each visit. As a regular customer I've appreciated this store's attention to Covid precautions. Today, however, in spite of the posting on the door requiring masks, three unmasked customers entered. An employee asked if they had masks. Answer: "No." Response: "Welcome to Starbucks." When I asked if they would be served, the answer was yes. I replied that these customers were putting other customers in danger. The answer was "We're not trying to do that." C'mon people, really? Honestly, one of the most disappointing Starbucks I have ever been to... And basing this review on about a total of 10 trips to this location. I have lived all around the US but am from the Northwest.... I even made a special trip to this location since red cups are back and I am visiting my parents in forks with no star bucks around... Every Dang Time Sucky. Does corporate not come out here since its further away???... Do they have a different training process?... Do they just think sequin means a ton of foam... Less flavor... Maybe their machines timing is off? I know it has nothing to do at tamping etc because they press a button... But I really wonder why... Why.. WHYYYYYYY does this Starbucks consistently suck. No matter the person making the drinks or on bar whatever they call it... No matter iced or hot.... My venti caramel brûlée... Which should taste like Christmas in my mouth... (I haven't had one in almost a year)... Tasted like watered down... Ran thru espresso.. Mouth swished caramel brûlée.. Not even sweet... Not even coffee-y... Not even milky....is there whipped cream on this? Yes?....just a half cup of foam... Maybe some gas station mop water.. Idk.. I was too far away to take it back.. SLOW SERVICE...Come on, I know it's out in the country, but don't all the people at Starbucks go through the same training? I've been here several times and here are my annoyances: 1. Girl with a super high voice - I want to smack her almost every time she opens her mouth. 2. They don't stir my white mocha - all the syrup ends up on the bottom. Even when I ask them to stir it (eventhough I shouldn't have to) they forget! 3. I've had the same girl there a few times and I have to explain to her what "half -caf" is. Ugghhh! 4. From the time I stood in line until my coffee was actually served was 17 minutes. There were probably 5 people in line!!! If you're in a rush, don't go here, you're better off stopping at Safeway. If you have the time to relax and wait, then it's definately good...avoid chunky, high-talking girl at all costs. read more

I'm no Starbucks nut... but it is nice to have around sometimes especially if you like ice cram and flavors in your drinks (ok who doesn't just a little). I myself make 90% of my visits during the winter season exclusively for the caramel brulee latte. On a darker note, $6-7 dollar drinks?!?! and the espresso... well thats another thing all together, no custom options at all, just 2% milk medium roast, a one size fits all type thing. Oh and that drive through is REALLY TIGHT almost impassible for a truck. Bottom line: At a place that has a new face every week and where everybody thinks that a Macchiato is a caramel latte, I can't help but wonder if this is more about a trendy experience, and not the actual coffee. read more

Today I purchased an eggnog latte. I learned inadvertently of the promotion to buy one holiday drink and the second drink was free when the cashier answered someone's question; she did not advise me of the promotion at the time of order and payment. I then offered to extend the gratis drink to a person in line, but was informed the special is applicable only at time of ring up. Really!? And then, 10-12 of us loitered about waiting up to 25 minutes to have our drinks served up. It appeared the drive thru customers had precedence over the walk in customers. i don't hand out 5-stars all willy nilly like it's no big deal and really, the extra star i'm including (i was planning on giving 4-stars) goes out specifically to a few of the employees. so first of all, this is the only Starbucks location in sequim with the exception of the one in Safeway. there's plenty of seating, a drive-thru, and a cute little outdoor area in front with tables and umbrellas. i used to frequent this location A LOT when i was in grad school and needed a change of scenery to study but i haven't lived up in sequim for over two years. recently, however, i was up there to visit family and went in and TWO of the employees remembered me. in fact, one of them, before i even said anything, said "grande iced soy dirty chai"... SHE REMEMBERED MY DRINK from years ago. i mean, COME ON. if that's not impeccable service i don't know what is. unrelated personal gripe: how can we change the name of the establishment? I love Starbucks but from time to time I'm baffled by the service. I get Starbucks at least twice a week as I have for years. I ordered a green tea frappuccino with light ice and double blended as I always do and the cup was only filled 3/4 of the way. There was a solid inch missing. I don't know about you, but I don't pay almost $7 (I have to drink soy) to not get my full drink. And then the barista had the nerve to tell me it was like that because I ordered it with light ice. NO! I order this EXACT drink all the time! And have never had a rude barista. Sequim Starbucks, you need to retrain your barista. This shop is like most Starbucks coffee shops except for a few specific things: 1. I've noticed one employee (who I think is a manager type) be extremely rude and talk down to the other employees. She has this awful high pitched voice that puts nails on a chalkboard to shame. I think her name is Lauren. 2. This store is very chaotic. There are only a couple people that seem to know what they are doing. (And the best barista recently left... so that just goes to show.) 3. I went through the drive thru and the guy who handed me my iced tea forgot to give me a straw, he walked away and another lady, Andrea, walked over to the window area and I asked her for a straw, no big deal, but her response was pretty rude when I asked - "I just got here!" Um okay? I wasn't mad or asking rudely, all I said was "Can I have a straw please?" Its not like there was a rush, I had to wait at the window anyways for other items I ordered. Its uncalled for having to deal with rude employees snappy attitudes. Normally Starbucks employees are super friendly at other locations, so this really put me off. read more
