I forget to review this place even though I stop here pretty often. The staff have always been really friendly and wonderful at this location. I've never felt like anyone was ever rude or ignored me here and I've been coming in several times a month for four years. The drinks are always made correctly and they're super careful with making sure my order is correct. Since the remodel it feels a little more MCM and busy corporate vibes, which it is smack in the middle of Amazon land, but still a nice place for a coffee date with a friend. read more

I came in at 930am on a Friday and they were busy! Every table looked full and people were waiting around for orders. No line though so that was nice. The barista who took my order was pleasant and knowledgeable to what I asked about in the pastry case. Ordered a tall blond roast and a strawberry matcha loaf. Total was $7.63 so completely reasonable for a plain coffee and a treat. It's a bit out of the way from the Westlake/Mercer closed location, but still the closest to walk to from my office. read more

I've been working at a client's site in Seattle's South Lake Union and this Starbucks is located across the street. I've never worked so close to a corporate chain or indie cafe...kind of dangerous. I've been bringing coffee from home or having hot chocolate from the break room. Anyways, on this particular day I really needed to just get away for a change of scenery (2/21/24). So I brought my sandwich and bananas from the nearby community banana stand and decided to checkout this SBUX location. I was pretty amazed at the high ceilings, lots of natural light, and the perimeter had seating (all occupied with the laptop crowd) plus a shared table in the middle. I ordered a venti mocha; the quad shot should help me power through the rest of the afternoon. This site had the ubiquitous merch, food/beverage menu items that is standard at all SBUX locations. But it was just a bit more upscale, most likely, because its regular clientele are from surrounding organizations like Amazon. The baristas here must be efficient to deal with the volume of business. There was quite the brisk mobile takeout coffee orders at one end of the front counter. This location is well maintained considering it's been in business since Jan 2012. I enjoyed my half hour having lunch at the shared table, took in the overall environment, and savored a pretty decent mocha. Nice spot for that rare SBUX detour. read more

This Urban Starbucks is located right in the heart of Amazonia. Flanked by wood, brick, and concrete, this location is one of my favorites as there are usually a couple of parking spots right outside. There's always a diversified crowd in here. From people working on their laptops to construction workers, you will see pretty much everybody in here. I appreciate that they have lots of areas to plug in, when I'm looking to get some work done on my laptop. Of course, they offered in usual Austin variety of Starbucks drinks and food. Pro tip if you order on the app there is a 3-minute waiting so I'm right outside so you can run in and get your coffee. read more

This is the main Starbucks on the Amazon campus in South Lake Union. It is located in the Cricket Building next to Veggie Grill. As it is the primary Starbucks in the area, it can get quite busy. There is actually another Starbucks down the street on Westlake Avenue in the building housing Microsoft, but that one isn't as crowded. That said, it doesn't offer as many features as this location. Here you will find outdoor seating along with a comfortable amount of inside seating. There is some nook seating in the back of the store if you want a quiet place to get some work done. Until the program was discontinued, this was one of the stores that offer Starbucks Evenings menu items. Still, this store is the one to go to if you are looking for Starbucks Reserve and Clover brewed coffees. Although this location can get busy, the wait for my drink is most of the time not too long. If you want a better quality drink, I would go to this location over the one on Westlake. Visiting this location also gives me a reason to grab a banana at the Amazon Community Banana Stand next door to eat with my workday coffee. read more

I never would have come down to this Starbucks, if not for my employment at Amazon. When I was a child of Microsoft, I would visit the location on Westlake (one block away). I had no conception this location, and the fact it was a Food and Wine location, as well as Clover Reserve location. This location is actually a very good Starbucks. In the morning, it can become quite busy, but the line moves quickly. It's generally full of us Amazonians, but we are gentle folk. What makes this location particularly good for coffee drinkers, is the Clover Reserve brews. The "good stuff" that they brew separately, in special brewing machines. The flavor is better, bolder and just a tad bit stronger. I can't speak for the food and wine offerings, i'm usually out before that happens, but given that it's a comfortable location to pull out a laptop to work, or just read a book in one of the comfy chairs, I recommend this location highly. On a nicer day, chairs outside and covered seating is available, to get fresh air and enjoy a good Seattle day. read more

Capping off our week in Seattle, we have been visiting various Starbucks of Interest. This Starbucks on Terry Street in the Sourth Lake Union neighborhood popped up on our list for several reasons: it's on a corner of the Amazon.com campus, it's an attractive site and it's an Evenings Starbucks, serving wine and craft beers. We were glad we stopped by. Beautiful wooded interior and nice design touches throughout - obviously a lot of thought went into this Starbucks. I love coffee shops that are also gorgeous inside, and this location certainly qualifies. And it was cool being on the Amazon campus, but really, there's not much to see, as you are on the outside looking in. But you can say you've been there at least! And certainly a lot of "Amazonians" in "their" Starbucks. It was interesting seeing an Evenings Starbucks - never been in one before. Looks like a nice selection of wine and beer, although too early when we stopped by mid-afternoon A good vibe here, and quite busy even at mid-afternoon. A good number of tables, so it can accomodate a large customer volume; lots of places outside to sit as well, as I suppose you can sit anywhere on the campus if needed. read more

Prime location! Great location to have quick meetings for work or to catch up with friends. I come here quite often as it is right in the heart of the area where my office is. I would say the majority of the staff is great! Few that need some TLC, but most are amazingly friendly. The lines can get pretty massive as there are several Amazon buildings surrounding it. I would suggest if you're looking to come in between 8-9:30 you should mobile order! Otherwise the line can be fairly long. Great place in the summer to sit on their patio and people watch, as well as check out the farmer market right out front. read more

With each visit to Starbucks, I find myself drawn to these refreshing drinks that never fail to lift my spirits. Whether it's a hot summer's day or a chilly afternoon, the Starbucks Refreshers with sweet cream are my go-to choice, bringing a sense of comfort and joy. They truly capture the essence of rainbows and sunshine, making even the gloomiest days seem brighter. This location has fairly average service--don't expect the baristas to remake your drink if they made it incorrectly. read more

This store is part of the reimagined South Lake Union in one of the relatively new, architecturally interesting buildings that adorn the area. Highlight​ing my brief visit: high ceilings, lots of glass, the smell of freshly-brewed coffee and the end-of-day buzz of customers having one last shot of caffeine before closing their laptops and heading home, back to work or out for a drink or dinner with friends! Likewise, I must now head out to meet an old friend (and some new ones) for dinner before returning to Bellingham! If not the highlight of my day, this stop was a pleasant respite along the way. It's a Starbucks. I rarely frequent these places, but occasionally picking a meeting spot makes them come in very handy. I assume most people who dig the Starbucks dig on them because they're always exactly the same, but I'll try to capture what struck me as individual about this one. What you get is a big, brightly-lit corner retail space with 15-foot-high windows running along two good-sized walls. However much light is available on a given day, you'll get about as much of it as possible here. The superstructure if an office building occupied by Amazon, with a long concrete staircase leading down from office entrances to the door of this joint. There appears to be a never-ending stream of Amazonians queueing for caffeine here. The staff is young and pleasant, almost bubbly by Seattle coffeehouse standards. They offer snacks, water, the paper, and the usual few dozen permutations of coffee drink. There's a decent amount of seating indoors and out. By and large, the setting in these places is pleasant, if a bit generic. I really do appreciate being able to grab a copy of the New York Times and start my morning that way, and in truth that's not a touch every other coffee shop gets right. So kudos to these folks. If you're not super picky about whether your money goes to the local coffee shop guy, then by all means this place gets the job done. read more

Me and a friend connected here one evening for some hang time and it's thanks to Cafe Suisse closing early due to the holiday; pfffft. It's a nice Sbux store with plenty of the usual offerings and more catered to the local workforce (wine & beer). The staff was nice and my soy chai was good. Interesting tidbits: the large metal table has a peculiar "weathered/worn/faded" area in the middle of it... do laptops erode metal table tops?! Hmm... This is the Starbucks where all the fun people hang out apparently, or maybe it was just the 10/31 coincidence. This location is slightly larger than my usual destination, but it is great for meeting here, as there is ample seating compared to other nearby locations. The wifi there was either dead or dying, so I was unable to work remotely there since my cellular reception was also limited. Not sure if that is by design or by coincidence today, but I had to leave if I wanted to get anything done today. Coffee here is as nominal as any other Starbucks. Move along. This Starbucks is very lovely. It is in the middle of the Amazon campus at South Lake Union so most of the customers are Amazon employees. The ceilings are high and all the furniture/decor is a rich dark color. Be sure to sit at the table where it meets the back bar so you can observe and chat with the baristas! The baristas that work here are very friendly. This place also has a wine/beer selection after 4pm and some delicious looking hot plates/desserts. read more

I strongly recommend that every Barista, working in every Starbucks in the Seattle, Washington area, please take a page out of how "Espresso Vivace" trains its Baristas, and then put all that good training into much more frequent practice! This is the closest Starbucks to my work! I agree, the wait can be a bit long in the morning, so I try to mobile order most of the time. The baristas are nice and efficient. Nothing over the top. My drinks always taste great too. Sometimes they're out of milk on the counter but are attentive to getting I­­t re-filled. You might be asking why i'm writing a review on Starbucks. Aren't all Starbucks the same? Apparently not this one. I'm a ex- Starbucks Barista with 3 years under my belt and a coffee master certification. In all my years I've heard a lot about Starbucks bringing in wine/ food and I was always like...."SAY WHAT?!?!?". But man oh man was I wrong. Yesterday I had the privilege of coming in and checking out the awesome wine and food selection that they have. The food was great, but what was cooler was the atmosphere. Every Starbucks that has the clover machine or the wine is a high end, swanky, and electric store full of zazz. I don't even know how to explain it, but it's the environment you want to be in. To be honest the food was so-so, but tasty. The wine however was great , but what was more great was the people (partners). They are the ones who bring in the legendary service to the customers. This new shop (#15407) means I don't have to walk *all the way* to Westlake from Fairview if I need to go to Ye Ol Buck o' Stars. I really rarely visit Starbucks but I've had a couple gift cards in my wallet and a free drink for my bday and last week I needed to get a bag o' beans and treats for 18 peeps, so this seemed a logical choice. I was shocked and irritated when I arrived to see the line almost out the door at 9am, but it moved much quicker than I expected. I was pleased to pick up a bag of coffee that claims to create American jobs, and the girl that bagged my many and various pastries was patient as can be. While I usually make a point of purchasing my lattes from Mokas, Inner Chapters, or Uptown Espresso while in the hood, this Starbucks has done the trick a few times and ain't too bad. I just won't make a habit of it. read more

A brandy new Starbucks just opened up and it's kinda nice. The coffee? Yeah, it's a Starbucks. The are a ton of tables and I'm especially keep on the comfy looking benches and tables along the back wall that look tailor made for getting work done. The staff was also very pleasant, and there were a ton of them (eight I think?), but I suspect that had a lot to do with it being opening day. I have a feeling I'll visit this location a lot, considering I work in the building, so I'm interested in seeing how it ages. read more

This Starbucks is a great image of what Starbucks has to offer consumers beyond the traditional coffee-house feel. Every Thursday the South Lake Union Farmers market is right outside of this store and it has a wicked urban vibe. Other times I like to sit along the window facing Terry and watch the light rail go by. How cool! Especially now that Mercer is a two way..... I've gone in here with and done their Starbucks Evenings, as well. It was quite lovely. A couple friends and I went in and Peter ordered a beer and my girlfriend Camille and I ordered the Malbec. It was quaint! I also happen to follow this store on Twitter at @StarbucksTandR that's kinda fun. :) read more

Definitely a nicer Starbucks with tons of space and light, and an expanded menu, which caters to the AMZN employees, as the store sits right in the middle of their campus. In addition to some additional coffee choices for slow brewing methods, there is more sophisticated dinner time fare, and I got a sample of a tomato and goat cheese crostini, which was actually pretty tasty. And, they have booze. Seems like SBUX is expanding the number of outlets which offer more than the usual breakfast/lunch fare, and it will be interesting how it does, as previous attempts haven't always been successful. read more

Now serving wine. I go to this location almost everyday -- they have clover machines so I can get my 'valley of gold' columbia brew for the day along with my turkey bacon sammie for breakfast. It's on Amazon's SLU Campus - so it's always buzzing with people during the day. The staff is fabulous and for the volume of people that walk through, they are really fast. As a frequent customer, they now know what I want when I walk in :) Then, in the evening, when you don't really want a cup of coffee, but still need a place to catch up for a quick drink - this SBUX has wine, desserts, and a selection of apps. Great for an evening pow-wow with a co-worker or just to decompress after a crazy day at the office. read more

This is going to be my favorite Starbucks from here on, I think. It's in a great location and has a ton of seating, both indoors and out. It's super pet-friendly, as it has two fresh bowls of water built into a shelf that protrudes from the wall near the door. I stopped in today to wait for the mister, as he was finishing up some work. I timed it poorly because I brought him some Molly Moon's ice cream only to find out he still had at least 20 minutes to go before he could come downstairs. Turns out this Starbucks (and maybe the others?) don't have freezers. Come to think of it, there isn't really anything frozen at Starbucks other than ice. The woman was totally nice and offered to put the ice cream cup on ice. She grabbed a little to-go container, filled it with ice, and then dumped some more ice on top. How nice is that!!?? I got an iced coffee with soy, and the cashier took the time to tell me about Starbucks' special cold-brew thing. Half of it went over my head, because I was worried about the ice cream, but I enjoyed chatting with the guy and appreciated that he was informative. I moved on to the barista, who also chatted with me, and asked me about the ice cream. Come on, who doesn't love Molly Moon's? Since he was pouring soy into my drink right in front of me, he checked with me on the amount and was happy to pour in more when I asked. My point with all this is that I encountered three separate employees and was able to chat with all of them, and no one seemed like they totally hated their job or their life, etc. You know what I mean? Everyone was cheerful and friendly without being fake. They were just people, talking to people. Awesome because: 1. Pet-friendly. Yay for doggies! 2. Great location. 3. Customer service was excellent - people going above and beyond and out of their way. 4. Three employees there and they were all great! 5. Just because. I left the place smiling. :) read more

I give 5 stars because they have a Clover press. If you've never had Clover brewed coffee, you're in for a treat. The Clover press miraculously extracts flavors from the beans that you have probably never experienced in a cup of coffee. They offer a wide selection of beans with flavors and aromas that are diverse in a way that is reminiscent of wine culture. But keep in mind, you must drink Clover pressed coffee WITHOUT cream or sugar. It is meant to be taken black in order for you to get the full experience. Even those that don't take their coffee black will enjoy black coffee if its Clover brewed. Aside from the clover press, they also offer wine and plated food. Not something that your typically come to SBUX for, but it definitely changes the vibe of the restaurant. read more

This Starbucks is one of the favorites of all the SLU people I know. Not because it's one of SBX's "experimental locations" that offers food/drinks after hours. But that the staff seems legit. They remember your name, your drink and even fix it if it's not right with a smile. I've been here a few times for a morning fix of a pound cake and/or a drink and the only downside is the line. Although with Uptown around the corner, they aren't as busy as they should or could be. I don't ever come for the vino or the booze but I know that's something they are trying to push hard for. read more

I'm sure it's great, but if you want to get service, I'd suggest going at least 5 minutes before they're scheduled to close. The evening I went, the doors were still unlocked and it was (according to my watch) still 3 minutes prior to closing. The staff member who so dejectedly looked at me when I came in was suddenly smirking when he offered to show me the door because they were "already closed". I wonder why there were still people in the chairs then?... I was under the assumption that Starbucks was out to make as much money as they possibly could -- staying open on Thanksgiving until 4 PM in some stores -- so I was a little put off by the fact that I couldn't order a decaf coffee. read more

This is the closest Starbucks to my apartment, and the only one close by that is open on the weekends. Unfortunately though the service is generally less than friendly, extremely slow, and lacking in effort. I've worked at many Starbucks locations in the past, and one of the key things in your opening duties is to have the store completely set up before opening. This store is rarely fully set up before opening on the weekends. Today for example, it is an hour after they opened... The tables and chairs are still stacked, merchandise isn't set up in the store, the pastry case was still being set up, and both baristas seemed as though they had better things to do. How unfortunate for such a beautiful store in a great location. Hey Starbucks... Maybe move some of the AWESOME crew from the 330 Westlake store over to this Terry Street location. read more
