Monstrous black iced tea (12/8/17)
Marie B.

Okay I've been here a few more times this past year...it's improved so with the holiday season, one more Yelp star earned. Although the guy diagonally from me taking advantage of the WiFi needs to pull up his pants! Here to chill out before heading back in traffic, not play the slots. (face palm) Okay the Christmas carols are becoming earworms...must go now. (12/8/17)

So little

I just bought a Grandy cappuccino from the Starbucks and it's really just a little and literally like half of the size And the rest are foam. I'm really just upset about quality and the quantity off of that coffee don't recommend this place

EXTRA Caramel frapp

I'm so upset. I asked for EXTRA CARAMEL DRIZZLE. & this is what I get. Not happy. Taste very watered down.

This was my first time visiting this Starbucks and I went through the drive thru. Edward (I believe that was his name) was so funny and sweet. He joked around over the intercom! As I pulled up, he told me they had a drink that was just going to be thrown out and asked if I wanted it because "they were just going to throw it away and that's a sin!" I gladly took it - it was a Venti salted caramel mocha and brought it to my roommate! Overall, I had a pleasant experience, recommended it to my roommate, and will definitely be going back!

Please, please, please and please fix the WiFi.
Di S.

Outstanding customer service! But the internet (WiFi) horribly bad. it has been going on for months and they never bother to fix it.

Drive thru:)

Pretty cool find if you are ever in the neighborhood!…read more Mountlake Terrace is not a place I frequently visit, but I did because of the convenience with the light rail - it's about a 9-minute walk from the light rail station. The interior has a warm and cozy vibe; I also dig the lighting. There's a good amount and variety of seating. They don't have outlets on the floor at the benches in the center, but there are a few outlets on the walls, so if you need to charge your devices I recommend sitting at the chairs next to the treasure chest (where I'm writing this review lol). Space seems very dog friendly, and there are 2 tables outside where the fur baby pawrents would typically sit with their fur babies. I also saw dog treats at the cashier that dog owners are free to take. I guess if you wanted to eat them you could, but I would judge you. For my drink, I got the Woodsman - opted for iced, large size, and whole milk. The drink was very chai spice-forward, which I loved. The staff member who took my order asked for my name, and later on when I went up to inquire the WiFi password, he addressed me by name - impressive. The owner (?), Heather, also thanked me for coming here after I picked up my drink. Needless to say, super friendly people. I didn't get a pastry or sandwich, but that's the goal for my next visit!

Given this I cannot accurately rate the Woodsman as I got it with almond milk and wasn't a fan. My husband is also in the same boat as me with regards to milk. Please consider adding at least a 2% although skim would be amazing. If you like whole milk/alternatives please give this place a shot!

I tried to revisit once during the holiday season, but the pastry case was cleaned out except for three cookies. I had much better luck stopping in and hanging out onsite (1/8/26). Same welcoming counter person/barista. Better available variety, and I opted for the featured special, 12oz mocha and a pain au chocolat for $9, which was a great value! There were just two others onsite. There were a lot of takeout customers, including regulars, that I observed while onsite at a nearby two top. My mocha was decent, the pain au chocolat was fresh, good flavor and texture, despite being pretty hollow. The photo I took created quite the illusion, looked like it had mass quantities of melty chocolate. Despite the bakery/cafe has an unassuming, now faded yellow exterior and well worn interior, French and Vietnamese inspired Grand Pere Bakery has quite the longevity record and staying power since March 2014. Decent detour while in Mountlake Terrace.

We tried the almond croissant and the cream tart that almost was like a crème brûlée and we really enjoyed both. Pricing was reasonable. I will definitely come back. The Home croissant was yummy even though it wasn't filled with a ton of filling like I usually like them. But the flaky pastry made everything so much better.

They even had a gulab jamun inspired ice cream, which really caught my attention. There were four of us, so we ordered a sundae with a brownie and two scoops of ice cream - it was generous and easily enough to share. It was my first time having a brownie served warm with ice cream, and I absolutely loved that touch. The fruit flavors were especially enjoyable, particularly the mango and banana chocolate chip. The cardamom flavor was a bit overpowering for my taste, but the mango was definitely a standout. The staff were incredibly patient and let us sample as many flavors as we wanted, all with a smile. I'll definitely be coming back!

I did not realize that One Bite Cafe took over the former Great Harvest Bread. I had checked out One Bite Cafe before in Seattle's Roosevelt neighborhood out of curiosity regarding croffles, but it didn't not leave a lasting impression at the time (open since 2019, with that visit in July 2022). However, when The College Friend set up a meet up at the Lake Forest Park site yesterday (open since May 2022, this visit on 4/9/26). There is an interior entry from the two level retail area and an exterior entry adjacent to the big shared parking lot. It took me a few tries until I found a spot. I was kindly greeted upon entry while the counter person was assisting the customer ahead of me. I ordered and paid directly on the convenient touch screen kiosk located to the left of the main register. I liked the interior transformation. Lots of onsite seating configurations and pleasant decor. Overhead music played the Beatles, which was a pleasant surprise. The wrap around pastry cases with well placed menu placards showed the variety of menu offerings. There's a wide variety of bevs, sweet and savory pastries, desserts, sandwiches, and even gluten free items from NuFlours. I ordered a 22oz iced classic milk tea with 75% sweetness and no toppings, plus some Korean sausage bread. The College Friend decided on a toasted Reuben with chips. We also shared a Portuguese egg tart. We were onsite for three hours. I noticed a constant stream of customers who also dined onsite, as well as, folks getting items to go. I appreciated observing the consistent pleasant and helpful counter staff, all with welcoming smiles! I learned that One Bite Cafe has grown to four sites: Seattle/Roosevelt, Lake Forest Park, Woodinville, and Federal Way. That's great to see ongoing success for this local, indie cafe chain. Lake Forest Park Town Center is lucky to have a variety of cafe, bar, and restaurant destinations. One Bite Cafe gets a collective 5 star for this first time visit.

It was solid, with the roasted/warmed up croissant and was filling. I also liked that they had Victrola coffee, which I ordered a drip of. Strong coffee = no complaints. In addition to their made-to-order food items, like the breakfast sandwich, they also have pastries in the case and a full coffee and tea menu. My brother, who also lives and works in the area, tells me constantly how awful the customer service is there when you order food- to the point where he refuses to go. I'm celiac and can't eat anything over there so I hadn't ever experienced what I did today. Today we're at the bookstore together and I decided we need to make a coffee stop. My brother, Loren, orders a sandwich. He says he needs it to go. Person at the register is pleasant enough. I order a coffee separately and am quickly served. We wait a bit for the sandwich, and we finally go up to the counter after maybe ten minutes and see the same sandwich he ordered sitting in a basket. It has a ticket on it that says "Owen." Easy mistake, really. He says, "Is this maybe Loren's?" And the person behind the counter immediately snaps "it says Owen." Okay. So we wait a few more minutes. We're now 15 minutes out and several people who ordered after us are served. He steps up and say "hey, I ordered a BLTA on sourdough for Loren, I think it may have been put in under Owen, but-" and before he can finish his thought they snap back at him again "it's probably yours because this one hasn't been picked up." At this point he's like, "okay, I ordered mine to go- could I-" and the girl behind the counter slams a box on the counter and says "here's a box." And turns away. I'm annoyed, because while I understand we have inconvenienced you, who is standing here chatting with an off-duty coworker for 30 minutes, we literally did nothing to deserve the attitude. Loren scoops the sandwich out of the basket and puts it into the box and this girl has the nerve to turn around and say "dirty dishes go behind you at the service bar." Oh, so now we have to bus YOUR hand-off bar, too? No sorry, no thank you, not even the offer to box up his food or put away the freaking basket. Is it because Loren is very clearly not white? Or is it because this lady today had a bad day and took it out on someone for interrupting her mid-shift gossip about how the mall security is full of idiots who don't do their job? Go ahead and take a gamble and let me know, because I won't be back.
