Banana chocolate chip

Cute little shop tucked inside Lake Forest Park Mall! Who says ice cream is only for summers? :P We stopped in while it was pouring outside, and my 8-year-old was a bit hesitant at first because the flavors were different from the usual offerings. But we were pleasantly surprised by the quality. She finally chose the Banana Chocolate Chip, and it was incredibly fresh--she loved every bite! The person at the counter was so patient with my indecisive kid, which I really appreciated. We also tried the Honey Cardamom Latte, and it was amazing. They even pressed the cardamom right in front of us! Overall, a lovely experience and definitely worth a visit.

Cute shop, spacious, not busy on a Saturday evening. Pistachio gelato was creamy and flavorful. Even the mini scoop is a good amount of ice cream!

So excited to be here this place is absolutely phenomenal. I hope they expand to so many more locations!!

I am so excited that Always Summer exists! The owners are fantastic, and the staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. But what really blew me away are the flavors and recipes--they're so unique, creative, and absolutely delicious. The quality of the ice cream is next level, and I left super impressed. On top of that, the decor inside is adorable--the kind of place where you want to buy every piece of swag on the shelves. I can't wait to come back and try their coffee offerings, too. This spot is in the perfect location for me--it's a great halfway point to meet friends from Seattle (I'm in Kirkland), and it's the best pick-me-up stop after a long day at Seattle Children's with the kids. I'm already planning to come back soon, whether it's with my girlfriends or for a date night with my husband. I really hope they expand throughout the greater Seattle area--this place deserves to be everywhere! am so excited that Always Summer exists! The girl behind the counter let me try most of the flavors and by far honeycomb was my favorite, but I was also super impressed with the cardamom pistachio. Not normally I'm not a pistachio person but it's cardamom heavy and again incredibly unique never again before have I had a cardamom flavored ice cream. Bright and cheery, the vibes are high at Always Summer Ice Cream Cafe! Located in a nondescript strip mall in Lake Forest Park, Always Summer is a cozy little ice cream cafe that features a fun menu of ice cream flavors and coffee drinks. We didn't grab ice cream this time around, but did enjoy their: - Litchi Coconut Latte - Blueberry Cream Latte Shoutout to the cafe as well for not charging for non-dairy milk - woohoo! The guy working at the shop was also very friendly and knowledgeable, taking time to share a little bit about the background of the cafe. Just peeking at their shelves, but it looks like they'll eventually come out with their own merchandise? Overall, Always Summer has such a cheery interior, that I bet it'll be super popular once the weather gets better.

Lavender lemonade ice cream and a chocolate-banana crepe. They have coffee and drinks too!

We went to the Lake Forest Park Farmer's Market today, and after enjoying that, we strolled over to Always Summer for some ice cream. It had been recommended to me by a friend. They have some more standard flavors, but they also had some more unusual ones. I saw one with matcha, and there was lemon basil (sorbet, I believe). I had the lavender lemonade, and oh my goodness!, was it good. There was a gentle note of lavender and then the sweet lemon, and it was very creamy. While it was rich, it wasn't overwhelmingly so -- just right. My husband had a chocolate-banana crepe and enjoyed that a lot too. I highly recommend this place!

One of my new favorite ice cream spots! So cute and I love how unique this place is. They have ice cream sandwiches, donuts, brownies, and gulab jamun. Super friendly service. Not too sweet and again the best thing about this place are flavors you can't find elsewhere. I highly recommend this place and would come back!

Wow! The flavors are simply outstanding. Pistachio & Cardamom ice cream thats amazing, worthy of sharing, and returning. Crepes also are perfectly executed and just delightfully flavored. And of course.. the coffee was pulled expertly with velvety foam. Yes, we will be returning and bringing family and friends.

We visited and tried their Pistachio Cream and Vanilla ice cream flavors! So, so good! Not too sweet, but nicely decadent! Will definitely come back to try more of their flavors and chai drinks ASAP! The interior was bright and clean, with really cute touches of color! Great place to visit for a sweet treat, especially for the upcoming summer!

As said the service was fine but the food - hearth roasted mushroom frittata and breakfast burrito - was decidedly bland and under seasoned. Frittata was covered with an excessive mound of arugula. While peppery, it's asking a lot of arugula to carry/cover for a bland unseasoned water bath baked egg concoction with minimal caramelized onions and flavorless mushrooms. Desperately needs some herbs, garlic or strong cheese, some crisp edges... something. A side of chicken apple sausage was just okay. Breakfast burrito was disappointing in its own ways. Tortilla was gelatinously clinging together as if it had been prepared in advance, then reheated, and covered in what was called salsa but was more akin to basic excessively mild tomato enchilada sauce. The carnitas pork was unseasoned and dry. Potatoes were soft and lacking a crisp element that would have helped immensely. The only place salt seemed to show up was in the salted maple latte and in that it was a bit heavy. Likely not stopping back anytime soon.

What you get is going to be bigger than the size model that they have in front of the register. The chorizo inside the burrito was seasoned perfectly and everything tasted great. The salsa that came with the burrito gave it another layer of flavor; just wish they gave more of it. Be careful as the oil from the burrito will drip onto your clothes if you're not careful (like me ). Plenty of seating inside and there is parking around the back. Would definitely come again to try the other stuff on their menu. No picture because I was too hungry.

It appears to be a shared space with a different restaurant night spot, and it is self serve. Feels up and coming. I hope everyone will go enjoy the yummy offerings at Rachel's , we are so glad we found it!

On…read moremy way to Bothell via Lake City Way to Hwy 522, I was able to snag a parking lot close to Seatango (3/27/26). Walking in, it was nice to see the space reconfigured to allow more kitchen and pastry case space. Plus the interior is a lot more warmer with wall color and vibrant art work which is enhanced by the natural light. This makes for a more pleasant dining area. I was kind of overwhelmed with the immense selection and variety in the wrap around pastry case. I'm glad that the counter person was patient with me as I seriously gave consideration since clearly I can't say - one of each please, lol. I ended up exercising restraint and selected two ham and cheese empanadas with chimichurri and two chocolate covered chocolate alfajores with dulce de leche as takeout. The Homie ate one empanada with chimichurri later that day. I ate mine the next day with the remaining chimichurri. We can both attest that the quality has remained despite the near five year hiatus. The alfajores also was delicious, no surprise there. Next visit, I'm going to inquire further about the assortment of pastries in the front pastry case. There was no individual signage displayed during my visit. Again, glad to see another indie business survive post-pandemic and during these challenging economic times.

Moons ago, my friend and I drove across one state to hunt for empanadas --- that's how badly we wanted one. Seattle -- you don't have to work that hard. "LOVE" is real close by! WESTERN WA & BEYOND: Go to LAKE CITY for the most SAVORY & SWEET empanadas!! The empanadas are HUGE but most of all, DELICIOUS! Walk in, take in the glorious aromas! Breathe it in. It's pure joy! We eat with our eyes. I was mesmerized by the baked good display. It is a very thoughtful, organized and wonderfully presented food items presentation. So much love goes into making these baked delights! Still, that's not where it ends-- look at my pictures. There are many goodies to choose from. Don't drool too hard. Just get there and order a box of many! This place has an OLD WORLD CHARM. In a small way, I fell in love with the decorations, colors, the smell of warm sugar, the space ... I talked the few customers present. Every person said roughly the same thing, "TRY EVERYTHING. You can't go wrong. It's all amazing. Sweet or savory. No matter." Everything is HAND-MADE. The bakery is small but the space, display, warm and welcoming. I found street parking -- no problem. I was waiting for my dog to get bathed and groomed nearby. Found myself wanting a snack. Just needed a little something to hold me over until a real meal. Had no idea that my beef [there is also chicken, many more flavors] empanada is a MEAL in itself. The man who waits on you knows his products very well even though it takes a few seconds for him to WARM UP to you. Still, he is a wonderful, friendly & hard working man. An amazing shop speaks for itself when you walk in. I'd drive across state lines to eat at SEATANGO! Try it and see how you like it. I suspect, like any place -- going OFF PEAK times will garnish you more attention by the wait staff. Still, don't wait to go. Go to Seatango now ... no regrets! PS -- Please Understand. This is my first time ever giving a WA bakery 5 stars.
