We were nearby for dinner and craving dessert when we came across this place, and I'm so glad we decided to try it. They even had a gulab jamun inspired ice cream, which really caught my attention. There were four of us, so we ordered a sundae with a brownie and two scoops of ice cream - it was generous and easily enough to share. It was my first time having a brownie served warm with ice cream, and I absolutely loved that touch. The fruit flavors were especially enjoyable, particularly the mango and banana chocolate chip. The cardamom flavor was a bit overpowering for my taste, but the mango was definitely a standout. The staff were incredibly patient and let us sample as many flavors as we wanted, all with a smile. Cute little shop tucked inside Lake Forest Park Mall! Who says ice cream is only for summers? :P We stopped in while it was pouring outside, and my 8-year-old was a bit hesitant at first because the flavors were different from the usual offerings. But we were pleasantly surprised by the quality. She finally chose the Banana Chocolate Chip, and it was incredibly fresh--she loved every bite! The person at the counter was so patient with my indecisive kid, which I really appreciated. We also tried the Honey Cardamom Latte, and it was amazing. They even pressed the cardamom right in front of us! Overall, a lovely experience and definitely worth a visit. read more

I am so excited that Always Summer exists! The owners are fantastic, and the staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. But what really blew me away are the flavors and recipes--they're so unique, creative, and absolutely delicious. The quality of the ice cream is next level, and I left super impressed. On top of that, the decor inside is adorable--the kind of place where you want to buy every piece of swag on the shelves. I can't wait to come back and try their coffee offerings, too. Located in a nondescript strip mall in Lake Forest Park, Always Summer is a cozy little ice cream cafe that features a fun menu of ice cream flavors and coffee drinks. We didn't grab ice cream this time around, but did enjoy their: - Litchi Coconut Latte - Blueberry Cream Latte Shoutout to the cafe as well for not charging for non-dairy milk - woohoo! The guy working at the shop was also very friendly and knowledgeable, taking time to share a little bit about the background of the cafe. I'm always taken back by the lack of ice cream shops out there, It's an essential part of summer, Enter Always Summer, lovely I cream shop that serves sweet and cool treats. To be fair, the ice cream and gelato selection is darn tasty, and portions are solid; so that's a check.. what makes this place, the hook, is the atmosphere and ambiance. The bright orange and yellow hues, the decor make your mind wonder, as if it is "always summer". It makes everything, the experience so much more enjoyable. Add that, they have some very lovely and customer service oriented staff, means you are getting the full package of joy. This is evident by the line out the door of people just looking to get a darn tasty treat. Their menu has everything from Ice Creams, to coffee, which means it doesn't have to be summer to enjoy something here. Do I recommend? Yes, it's a fantastic little shop. New find in lake Forest Park! This ice cream shop just opened in March 2025. The decor is colorful and caters to kids with furniture sized fot little humans. They have the regular flavors but also a variety of really interesting ones with an Indian twist - like the gulab jamun sundae. They also have masala chai - a personal favorite. My kids had the cotton candy and chocolate ice cream and loved it. We will be back to try the others! read more

Wanted to treat my kids and went to this new ice cream shop, it's adorable! The place is beautiful. My son tried (and loved) the strawberry ice cream and my daughter and I shared the pistachio which was amazing. They also have espresso specials and I tried the cortado bon bon which is made with condensed milk and it was spectacular, really creamy! The service was amazing and the place was immaculately clean. I hope they do great, I'm sure as soon as the farmer's market opens for the season they'll be super busy. read more

Awesome ice cream shop in the Lake Forest Park Town Center! Shout out to the staff who are very friendly and generously offer samples of everything. I had the guava sorbet which was refreshing on a hot summer day, and everyone else in my group enjoyed their ice cream selections. Only bummer is they were out of the cardamom pistachio that everyone is raving about, so we'll definitely need to go back to try more of the flavors! read more

We love always Summer Ice cream, we come in maybe twice every 2 weeks. My four-year-old loves to try the different flavors.But every single time she always gets chocolate, sprinkles on any of them I work for Safeway, so it's just convenient to go there after work.I just bought a gift card for my daughters Fourth birthday in the the staff that helped me was so sweet. There's also a young guy That works there and every time me and my daughter come in if she gets a Ice cream and I choose an ice cream After we walk out the door my daughter tells me she wants mine so he always thinks it's funny that she picks her own butt ends up with mine. I loved chatting with him about his background and why they chose to start this business. I tried a few flavors and the cardamom pistachio was my favorite, but ended up ordering the special: Dubai sundae and the citrus mocha latte. Both were delicious! The Sunday was ~$12.50 and the specialty latte (16oz) was ~$7 (based on memory and no extra charge for oat milk. The seating area was nicely designed and cozy to enjoy the sweet treat in. read more

Cute little ice cream shop we heard about from another business owner in the center. They have a rave review so we checked it out. Walked in and was immediately greeted by the man who must be the owner. He was so kind and genuine and excited! He told us all about the flavors, menu and the most popular items. I tried the seasonal Rise Chocolate and oh my goodness... it was so amazing I can't wait to go back for more. My husband got the brown butter pecan affogato and he was so happy. Outstanding shop and service! The flavors are unique and delicious! I had the citrus cacao and the honeycomb. The soft subtle flavors of the honeycomb were beautiful and the citrus cacao....OMG...like eating orange chocolate, but creamier and more flavorful! The ambience is clean, welcoming, and a bit quirky. There were these beautiful glass teapots that I regret not purchasing. I would've like a couple of chairs or a bench outside as it was an amazing sunny day and I wanted to sit outside with my son, but this is a small thing and in no way should detract from what was otherwise a fantastic experience. The owner of the shop, Vijay, is super nice, easy to talk to, and is genuinely interested in having a conversation with you, as opposed to quick words and finishing your purchase. He even gave me a recommendation on a great Indian restaurant. All in all, one of the best ice cream shops that I've been to. Highly recommended!!! read more

I'm a bit of an ice cream snob, this place did not disappoint. I tried a few different samples and settled on a vegan Pistachio Cardamom in a waffle cone. They had a full dairy pistachio ice cream too, but the cardamom flavor was so unique on the vegan option. My wife got an affogato with some very tasty espresso and a chocolate and orange ice cream. Both were really good. The person working the shop was very friendly as well! I normally make the trip to Salt and Straw in Kirkland, but Always Summer is has great ice cream, right in Lake Forest Park. I will definitely be back! read more

Went here twice and both time got the pistachio flavor. Very delicious! Also, more delicious than the ice cream is the CHAI!! I was told that the owner of the store is of South Asian origin so I had to try the chai and it didn't disappoint. It was freshly brewed, not from pre-mix. Staffs are friendly and the shop's interior is so cheerful. Definitely worth visiting, so glad there's a quality ice cream parlor in the area. read more

The only place salt seemed to show up was in the salted maple latte and in that it was a bit heavy. Likely not stopping back anytime soon.

We wait a bit for the sandwich, and we finally go up to the counter after maybe ten minutes and see the same sandwich he ordered sitting in a basket. It has a ticket on it that says "Owen." Easy mistake, really. He says, "Is this maybe Loren's?" And the person behind the counter immediately snaps "it says Owen." Okay. So we wait a few more minutes. We're now 15 minutes out and several people who ordered after us are served. He steps up and say "hey, I ordered a BLTA on sourdough for Loren, I think it may have been put in under Owen, but-" and before he can finish his thought they snap back at him again "it's probably yours because this one hasn't been picked up." At this point he's like, "okay, I ordered mine to go- could I-" and the girl behind the counter slams a box on the counter and says "here's a box." And turns away. I'm annoyed, because while I understand we have inconvenienced you, who is standing here chatting with an off-duty coworker for 30 minutes, we literally did nothing to deserve the attitude. Loren scoops the sandwich out of the basket and puts it into the box and this girl has the nerve to turn around and say "dirty dishes go behind you at the service bar." Oh, so now we have to bus YOUR hand-off bar, too? No sorry, no thank you, not even the offer to box up his food or put away the freaking basket. Is it because Loren is very clearly not white? Or is it because this lady today had a bad day and took it out on someone for interrupting her mid-shift gossip about how the mall security is full of idiots who don't do their job? Go ahead and take a gamble and let me know, because I won't be back.

I ended up exercising restraint and selected two ham and cheese empanadas with chimichurri and two chocolate covered chocolate alfajores with dulce de leche as takeout. The Homie ate one empanada with chimichurri later that day. I ate mine the next day with the remaining chimichurri. We can both attest that the quality has remained despite the near five year hiatus. The alfajores also was delicious, no surprise there. Next visit, I'm going to inquire further about the assortment of pastries in the front pastry case.
