The thing about Starbucks love it or hate it, is consistency of product and a general baseline of customer service. I personally enjoy the coffee and appreciate the consistency. This location and one on the east coast have memorable customer service and pleasant polite staff. They were most eager to take my order and provide feedback when I asked for ideas. This was honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had at a Starbucks drive-thru. I ordered two drinks and a cup of cold foam on the side. The first drink I received had no ice and looked like it had been sitting out for an hour. The second drink had no dragon fruit in it and also had no ice. On top of that, the cold foam I asked for on the side was given to me with ice in it, even though I clearly asked for it by itself. I asked them to remake the first drink, and they still made it wrong and responded with a terrible attitude. At that point I had to go inside and ask them to completely remake the drink and the cold foam. When they did, they hadn't even cleaned the cold foam machine, so it tasted like a mix of strawberry and banana from previous drinks. This was an incredibly frustrating experience and such a horrible way to end my day. I've never received service this bad from a place I usually enjoy and support. read more

Good afternoon Coffee was wonderful, tasted great. The only issue that was had was that there was no pleasantries there was no hi. How are you? It was just "what's up", and then there was no "have a great day". There was just handing me a coffee and shutting the door to the drive-through kind of sad. Takes away from the experience. I will always get coffee from a small business if I have the choice but every once in a while there's no good choice other than the corporate option. I think this happened last time I got coffee at Starbucks somewhere else, but this cup of coffee is a total ripoff. $3.50 for a cup of hot water with a brown crayon or something melted in it. I guess this is their way of increasing profits? Use just enough grounds to slightly color the water? Awful coffee for a dumb price. Today May 8 I went around 1 pm and the women there have a very bad attitude, I arrived and ordered a drink and the girl doesn't pay attention, I told her that I wanted her size trenta and she made it grande, then I told her that I told her trenta and she told the other girl who was preparing my drink to make it the size I wanted and she with a bad attitude answered wrong and did it. I think they should pay more attention when one makes the order so that there is no such problem, instead of joking with each other and laughing, they should pay attention and do things and Job right. I usually dont get crazy when it comes to customizing my drinks so deciding to try the day's posted Barista's favorite, Noa's Favorite", was a huge leap of faith. Oh my goodness its was delicious. The girl who took our order was very friendly and helpful; however, the woman who made our coffees was not. When asked if there was cold foam on our drinks (iced shaken espresso + cold foam) she said there was - but it's the smallest amount I've ever received. We've been going to this location for several years and definitely see the difference in service and quality. There is high turnover at this location. Some of the staff are peculiar to say the least. Because of the location, this Starbucks is often frequented, not just by our family members but by many. Nonetheless, we are NOT returning to this location again. Today was the worst. Our coffee came in a soiled cup and lid (at the opening); extremely unsanitary and appears intentional. The stains looked like fecal matter, not chocolate or caramel, which we understand can happen. Disgusting and disturbing. We didn't bother complaining as we were at drive-thru and were abruptly handed the drink. Just tossed our drink and will make it a thing to NOT return. read more

I don't appreciate that I have purchased no less than 50 occasions, with family, ordering multiple products at a very expensive price. I , for the first time in years, need to use the restroom. I order expensive snacks and bottle water (which i don't need, since I keep my own supply in the car) simply so they know I am a paying customer. What do the say?? Worst customer service. If someone is a paying customer they should be able to use the restroom, not be given some sorry lying excuse that their bathrooms don't work. We all know your bathrooms do work. You either don't want to let customers use it because of covid restrictions or you don't want to clean bathrooms. Just be honest with your customers. I'm not sure what's going on with so many Starbucks running out of sleeves for the hot cup of coffee. I normally don't go to this location in Seaside near McDonalds but I was in the area and need a quick fix on caffeine. I ordered mobile order this time and surprisingly there's no long line because getting into this parking lot can be a circus. I've been inside the coffee shoppe a couple of times and in the past mainly through drive through. My personal experience is that it's the worst customer service I have received. Compared to the other Starbucks I've been to to include this one, the one is Safeways, five locations in Monterey, one in Pacific Grove, one in Marina and there were others I just can't think of right now. This is my least to go to. My experience is noticing the disorganization in the store, heading them tell that they ran out of coffee beans, people that ordered behind me got their drinks before me and when picking up my hot drinks, they just slide it to me without coffee sleeves or offered and they had plenty of sleeves. This time, I ordered a hot coffee and pick up through drive through and I noticed there were no sleeves so I asked if the cup was double cup so it won't burn my hands. The girl said yes because they ran out of cup sleeves. I should have check but was in a rush and trusted the Starbuck's personnel's words and my hand was starting to burn and become red. Other Starbucks ran out of cup sleeves too but they usually automatically and courteously double cup so customers won't burn their hands and can enjoy their hot coffee. Please, this Starbucks, be aware and help alleviate this simple problem. Unfortunately, due to current conditions, we aren't able to use our own reusable cups for coffee per Starbucks, which is understandable. If customers have to use their sleeves to hold their hot coffee, please let us know. Upside is that the coffee was tasty. read more

I have been to this particular location quite a few times, and it is conveniently located on your way out of Monterey if you are getting onto 1. However, both the drive through and inside of the store are consistently slow, yet friendly. Coffee is the same as other Starbucks locations, though they do seem to be inconsistent on stock for food options. Parking lot (including drive through) is a nightmare. Today they had cones set up and people were running into them and getting them stuck in their wheel wells. I have gotten "trapped" on more than one occasion by other drivers who couldn't move because of the drive through or other cars blocking them. They really need to either increase parking or change their drive through layout. Definitely not my first choice, but it is the closest Starbucks with a drive through option when my son falls asleep in the car. read more

Drive thru order taker was rude and condescending, we get to the window and grab our drinks we ask for some straws for our 2 drinks, we only get 1 from her. Whatever right, na the drink legit tasted like tap water with some instant coffee in it. Keep in mind I ordered a chocolate almond milk shaken espresso. This has to be the most consistent Starbucks in town when it comes to making drinks! From iced coffes, refreshers, hot drinksx and my favorite the Pink Drink! I always stop by here for my morning coffee, or just whenever I'm in need of a drink or snack. I love that it's drive through, but hate THE LOCATION! sometimes you can't even get in the drive through so I usually order mine through the mobile app and run inside to pick it up- i have found this is THE FASTEST WAY. Also,just a heads up on mornings or during a rush if you're ordering online I usually do it asap and can range from 3min-10mins. Staff is always bice, helpful, and super CONSISTENT BARISTAS! Love that this drive thru is open until 11 for all my late night cravings! (Lobby closes at 10). P.s. plan ahead for the wait time if it's busy! Just another typical Starbucks. I came here a few times while I stayed in Seaside. It's conveniently located next to the freeway on/off ramp. I came here around 6am each morning and the staff was super friendly and quick with service. My order and was hot and fresh each time and warmed me right up. Paying with my phone (Starbucks App) was easy as well. I love that they have a drive thru and I could whip in and out in a flash. I did drive by a couple other times throughout the weekend and the drive thru line was pouring into the street. If I'm in the area again I will definitely be back. read more

This Starbucks always makes my espresso drink perfectly and gets it piping hot just how I like it. The only reason for me not giving them 5 stars is their bleach blond manager, he's been rude to me every time he's taken my order. He was standing at the register when I walked in today and he looked at me and walked away without saying one word. I don't know this man personally and I have no clue if I've done anything to offend him, but with the limited interactions I've had with him it's unlikely. I'm writing this because I love my coffee from this location and I want to be treated with kindness and respect but at the very least be treated like a paying customer who's business you appreciate. I visit this Starbucks often, as it is more convenient opposed to the Starbucks on Del Monte. Usually, there is no problem and I am satisfied with my experience. Though, I do believe I was given the presentation lime bar. It was early morning and when I ordered it she said let me check and then she said yeah I have one more but she was laughing and the girls in the back were laughing (drive thru) I didn't think anything of it because I know how it can be when you're a lady and have other cool ladies on shift. Not sure of the name of the guy that helped me but he was probably one of the better barista's I've dealt with. He was friendly, upbeat and got all my order correctly the first time through. The only downside to coming to this Starbucks is the traffic that you'll have to put up with. The city engineers did a poor job is designing the roadway, off ramps, and the on ramps to HWY 1. It's hard to describe but be prepared to wait 5-10 minutes to get in and out of the complex during commute. read more

This Starbucks never fails to amaze me as they always have a drive thru line that sometimes takes up their entire little parking lot, yet they manage to keep it moving at a record pace that may put some In & Out burgers to shame ;) I decided to actually try the inside counter service this time as I was able to nab parking (which can be an extremely rare commodity here) and was pleasantly surprised at how quick, helpful and courteous all the baristas were. Even with a hectic drive thru and all the countless orders, they all seemed to maneuver around like a tightly choreographed Broadway show. What impressed me the most was that they were able to keep the drive thru crowd moving while still maintaining excellent customer service for us folks inside. I got my drinks in a timely fashion and they were made just the way I like them. Also the inside was very clean and surprisingly spacious. I will definitely frequent this location from now on. Tip: try not to be intimated by the drive thru line, it moves quicker than you may think, just be careful for the occasional crazy drivers (some of them can be a little grumpy until they get their caffeine fix lol) read more

It's a Starbucks...it's a busy one...and they do a good job and serve their beverages to the highest standards beyond most of the other area Starbucks. Though...I will say they do often cause traffic congestion at that particular intersection as they drive-thru fills quickly and wraps around their structure and into the parking lot...and often into the busy street.
