Reviews are hit and miss. My visit was great. Coffee was pretty good. There was a line out the door. No seating area. Lots of parking. Pricing on point for boutique coffee.
This is my favorite coffee shop but my last two visits were not good. The other day, they gave me a completely different coffee and today, they forgot the vanilla syrup. It makes me wonder how their system works. Vanilla syrup is extra charge, I believe, so if people pay for things shouldn't the staff make sure they get it?
Great place for delicious pour overs and lattes. They make their own blends! I tried 2 of them black and both were delicious. We also tried a couple of their lattes and they were great. They also offer pup cups for a small price. Plenty of parking. Great service. Quick turn around. Stop by!
5 stars Fantastically smooth iced oat milk latte and an oversized and delicious coffee cake muffin from Nece's.
Acme is one of our favorite breakfast/coffee spots around Monterey. We get the items to go. They're consistently good and have breakfast items from local shops, like Red's Donuts and Parker-Luseeau. Here's what we ordered: Oat milk latte ($6) - very smooth, nice and bright, not smoky Cappuccino ($5) - great, better than average Berry croissant ($6) - wow! Super delicious laminated pastry loaded with fresh berries. This one was a favorite! Chocolate croissant ($4.75) - classic pastry with 2 sticks of high-quality chocolate. Not very large, but this was our littlest one's fav. Morning bun ($4.75) - super good! Has some orange zest which gives it a nice touch and extra flavor. Portobello leek quiche ($7.75) - DH's absolute favorite. He's a savory food lover. Flavors worked great together. Overall, a great place to get breakfast. It is a bit more expensive if you want to splurge on some delicious pastries and are staying in Seaside!
The coffee was decent, but unfortunately the experience was pretty disappointing. The staff came across as mean, unfriendly, Good coffee can only go so far when the customer service isn't welcoming. Hopefully they can work on that.
The nicest people and best coffee -- I was so touched by how kind and friendly the woman behind the counter was and my iced Americano was utterly scrumptious! Perfectly balanced espresso, strong and not bitter in slightest - I wish I could go here every day and can't wait to go back. The indoor/outdoor vibe is charming - it's a perfect spot, gorgeously lit in the early morning sun too. Love their pastry selection and how extensive and fresh the options were -- grabbed a Red's donut and was delightful
We stopped by on our way back home. The customer service is there 100% the staff was super friendly. The place is clean and has a a dark/hispanic retro aesthetic every corner has a piece of art to look at. For coffee we went with the Vietnamese iced coffee. Perfect balance of sweetness and coffee. Thank you Acme staff it was worth stopping by ! 100% recommend.
LOCALS ONLY! The pour over was amazing! I got the Valve Job (on the board to the right). It takes about 5 minutes, but was quite worth it. Silky smooth, nice and strong, great bouquet. Even the cup was beautifully labelled with my name and drink type in some sort of hand written calligraphy. The artisan pastries satisfied as well. I was mesmerized by the muffins in one of the cases. Choice of blueberry or coffee cake. So good, soft and moist, with struessel things on top. Maybe I'll come back to try the other pastries. Or maybe not... Service was ... weird. They were super nice to the people they knew, calling them by name. Nice to see you again, etc. But when we were up, it was monotone, no smile, minimum answers. We got blank stares from all three people behind the counter. When I asked if she liked the coffeecake or blueberry better, she just said she hadn't tried them. Yah right. Hot drink person was blank stare, and handed me my pour over without comment. The cold drink lady, however, called out. "Iced caramel latte for Evangeline, your drink is *still* here". Okay lady. We get it. Your coffee and snacks are awesome, but for locals only. Tourists, there's a starbucks down the street.
My partner and I stopped by Acme in Seaside and got two iced oat milk lattes (mine with lavender), and they hit the spot. This small stand draws a big crowd, but the service was quick. The espresso was rich without being bitter, and the oat milk gave it that perfect creamy texture. This is a spot that actually cares about coffee. We'll be back next time we're in the area!

This little roastery looks super cute but the service and coffee are really mediocre. Not horribly tasting but not worth it in my opinion. They also have no seating or bathrooms (nearest bathroom is at another coffee shop nearby). The coffee was made fairly quickly but definitely not somewhere we would be excited to come back to unfortunately
Very cute spot, seems like a local favorite! The baristas are all so kind and helpful, patient when I was trying to figure out what I wanted. It's an outdoor patio style coffee shop, very cool and relaxed type of environment. Their drinks are amazing, I highly recommend coming by and trying out their drinks! They aren't overly sweet and yet so flavorful!
We were looking for a quick spot to stop by and get caffeinated, and landed on Acme Coffee based on the good reviews it seemed to have. It definitely seems to be a popular spot - for a Saturday morning, the line was about 20 people deep! Lots of parking and it moves quickly, fortunately, so this wasn't too much of an issue. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. Service was great! The cashier who helped us out was friendly. The latte was nice and smooth and well-balanced. It wasn't too sweet at all and IMO had the perfect amount of ice lol. Our drinks were ready about 10 minutes after ordering. They had a decent pastry selection too - I'd come back to try their lavender latte the next time we're in the area! They have a small patio, but definitely don't expect any seating to be available (and no bathroom, either). read more

We left with a bitter taste in our mouth because the lady with curly gray hair rudely asked us to wait outside even though my husband was looking at their products which he was considering purchasing. He put it back because she told us to wait outside. If you want customers to wait outside, maybe you should put your products elsewhere? Only a few minutes later, another customer waited exactly where we were standing and they didn't say anything to her. The barista taking our order was friendly and welcoming. The pourover was good. It was a true light roast from Costa Rica with fruity bright notes. The espresso was a typical medium-dark roast, nothing to write home about. The milk texture was overly frothy with big bubbles. If you are looking for a third-wave experience or more specialty forward coffee, you're better off looking elsewhere (like Counterpoint). read more

The smell immenating from this place is heavenly. The line moved quick. The office was amazing. The cashier lady was kind friendly and had the most beautiful eyes. This would be my go to coffee spot if I lived here. read more

To start off with I was worried cause I read reviews on service but honestly service was spot on very friendly woman who checked us in and made our coffee. Now for the coffee it's good like really good it has a taste like no other it has that good coffee taste. Very simple menu but it works. I really enjoyed the option to adding cinnamon on top to your like the self service on that was a highlight for me. read more

Staff was very kind and helpful when ordering. It was my first time here as I was visiting for a day trip to see Carmel. Coffee was good and they have really cool coffee flavorings for sale if you like stuff like that. Not too much seating- it's very much a grab and go place. read more

Was finally able to try ACME coffee and it was soooo delicious. The place is different and rad, the customer service is excellent & the coffee is delicious. My half sweet latte extra shot was perfect. I can't wait to come back, thank you all for the wonderful experience. read more

Got a Vietnamese iced coffee and it was pretty good. Their espresso is smooth and not bitter which was so good! It was just the perfect amount of sweetener too :-) (I got an add shot because I love me some caffeine!) the cashier was super nice as well and the shop itself has a cool aesthetic. When I'm in the area, I will be returning! read more
goooood coffee!!!! Love the vibes!! They even sell their own cold brew in a large mason jar! If you need coffee your meetings and parties, they even have gallon size coffee for $24! Lots of parking nearby! Outdoor coffee shop. Love the "resist corporate coffee" read more

My wife and I believe a great cup of coffee is a great start to the day. During our visit to Monterey, we found ACME COFFEE ROASTING, Seaside CA. It's looks unassuming, but let me tell you. They have a reason not to be. There was a huge line and with good reason, the Coffee was DAMN GOOD!!! I had a cold brew that was so good, and my wife had the red eye that she loved. The atmosphere was very much like a friendly community and the all were enjoying themselves. The service was top notch, friendly and patient. They genuinely love their coffee and community because I came out of there smiling and caffeine loaded. The place was super clean and super fun to be around all the folks who were happy to get their coffee on. Even got Costa Rica single origen beans Recommended. Beans can be Whole or grounded for you. This place was by far the best coffee place I've tried on my trip to Monterey Bay. I think I stopped by 3 or 4 coffee shops and I really can't say anything positive about them EXCEPT this place. Their coffee is absolutely delicious and they have some really interesting flavors (which i love to try). They sell them in these really cute bottles and Im so glad I picked one up! The staff is absolutely fantastic and friendly. Its a really cute grab and go. Clean. Rustic. I miss this place already and can't wait to visit again! read more
