Surely you'd want to know what you are offering your customers ? - I mean, some of the pastries look pretty tasty, but without knowing what's inside.... I give up. Then there is the price : $16.00 for a coffee and a tea. Okay... I tell myself I am trying this place a second time and I've been told good things by friends since here last (cardamom and cinnamon spiced hot drinks! ) So when I am served my tea and coffee at the table, I ask innocently for a napkin, and the waiter (Mr "Caffeine-Free tea") nods towards the other side of the cafe and says "napkins are over there" and walks off. I guess he expects me to get up and walk over to get myself a napkin (which one would have expected he'd have brought in the first place with the drinks) - and so reluctantly I've decided this is just not the place for me to relax - And at this point I just give up ... and give in to a tasty coffee - it was pretty good - and decide sadly never to return - even if invited.

Compared to many Starbucks I have been to, the staff at this location are very friendly and kind. I have always been greeted with a smile whenever I come! The baristas know what they are doing, are quick, efficient, and value their customers. The new look of this location is amazing! They have new couches and awsome bar stool chairs against the window making it super awsome to study or just to have a coffee break with a friend. The sugar, napkins, etc are always well stocked. Pastries always fresh. Bathroom has always been clean! Also, The manager has been nothing but kind to me whenever I see her. This Starbucks location has been very supportive to the community as well. Its so nice to see chain stores support community efforts to help non profit organizations in need! read more

So Ive been a customer for some time. Most of the staff at least the old ones are great. I love Maggie and Nicole (manager) they are always willing to talk to me and work with me with anything. I've come across some not so nice employee named Amanda. She talks to me but is short and kinda rude at times. I dont know what to make of it because everyone there is generally cheery but I guess every store is going to get a few not meeting standards. *sighs* I still love the store though and will support them. This is the second-best Starbucks I've discovered near my home! The café boasts spacious seating arrangements and a wonderfully cozy atmosphere that invites you to relax. Although the service was efficient, I didn't receive the warm welcome I typically expect at Starbucks. The menu offers all the familiar favorites, and the food was exactly as you'd find at any other location. I had the chance to sample their cortado, and it was absolutely delightful. Dear Coffee Haus Owner,…read more I'm disappointed with my recent experiences at your business, and it's especially unfortunate because I've been a customer since the days when your predecessor first started the business. I still remember seeing the old man at Costco carefully picking out the best kiwis. Those memories are part of what made Coffee Haus special to me, which is why it's disappointing to see some of these issues. I recently stopped by your South Elgin location, and I'd like to share a few concerns. First and foremost, as a business owner, I believe customers should receive the exact change they are owed. Please don't tell customers that there are no pennies and simply round the change down. If you are unable to provide exact change, the customer should not be the one losing money. At the very least, the amount should be rounded in the customer's favor. Better yet, make sure the register has the necessary change to give customers the correct amount. Second, when I place an order and am told that there is no tapioca, it's extremely frustrating. If a particular ingredient is essential to the products you advertise and serve, it seems reasonable to expect that you would have adequate inventory to meet customer demand. Finally, please address the condition of the bathroom. It was unpleasantly smelly and did not feel clean or presentable. I also noticed what appeared to be gang-related markings on the back of the bathroom door. The bathroom is part of the customer experience, and its condition can leave a lasting impression about the overall cleanliness and management of a restaurant. I'm sharing this because I have a history with Coffee Haus and genuinely want to see the business maintain the quality and reputation that made customers like me keep coming back. I hope you'll take these concerns seriously and make the necessary changes.
