This post is long overdue after the multiple poor experiences I've had here. Drinks are fine and all that, but I have never seen a more miserable staff in my entire life. My Starbucks in Lakeside was closed for some reason so I decided to drive to the next closest Starbucks, which happened to be this one. I ordered a Double Chocolate Chip with extra drizzle. This is my first time visiting this Starbucks location and I have to say the barista working the drink orders is INCREDIBLE. It stinks that I didn't catch her name because she deserves a huge call out. She's all by herself making drinks and serving up the food and she's NAILING it. She got my drink made in less than 2 minutes from ordering it and that was while she was juggling three orders ahead of mine. Literally 15-20 mins to place an order, only two people working when there's a line out the door. The customer service is garbage and who ever is managing this location needs to figure out a better structure on having more people working during peek hours. I will start with the only unfortunate thing about this particular Starbucks: there is one [only one that I have encountered] employee who is about as cheerful as the Grinch. He is just really unpleasant. Even with that, this place gets five stars, because everyone else who works there is absolutely incredible. They remember my name, my orders (two custom orders!), and always go out of their way to say hello when I come in. I don't even go in there on a daily basis, and yet they treat me like we are all family. The nicest people... Drink/food quality wise - perfection! I have never gotten a stale piece of food from this one, which is always a good thing. My light-ice Fraps are perfectly blended and my complicated Tazo tea order is made just the way I like it. This is my "Home Location" I feel like Norm from Cheers when I walk in.. everyone knows my name, my favorite drinks, and have the ready to go in just a few minutes! What don't I like? The parking. The spots in front of the store need to be 20 minute only spots. I hate it when the "campers" park there, then sit inside and use the free wireless for hours on end.. Honestly I love this Starbucks!! The baristas here always make my drinks right. Every drink that I order comes out amazing! I order at different stores but no one else can get it right like these guys. The baristas here actually take the time and read what's on my order, no matter if they're super busy. The staff are very friendly and are always happy to help me out. This store is always clean no matter what time of day I stop by. There's a Starbucks near my house, but I drive all the way over here because I know that I can count on these guys to make my order right!! Honestly. She added the ingredients in a weird order so it needed to be thoroughly stirred. She was going to put on the whip then my last shot until I stopped her. She tried to get away with stirring using a green plug stick but I insisted she stir with a spoon. You'd think she'd use the long handled one but no, the big fat one with the short handle. Bottom line is its unstinted and separated into layers of coffee, milk and mocha. Typical millennial!!! If asked I'm sure she'd say "I put the spoon in, so now it's stirred". Every time I use this Sbux for convenience, I am annoyed. The service is slow, even with no customers in line. The baristas are drab, robotic and almost seem bothered. Seldom do I get a smile. They have refused to do a decaf pour-over in the evenings on several occasions, because their equipment was already put away at 7PM. If they have reg decaf in the AM, the bottom of my husbands cup is full of grounds. We have waited for plain old poured coffee's for 5 minutes, with no apologies for delay - or even a hint at a free drink coupon. My suggestion? Go to Trolley Center or even the VONS Sbux. read more

I come to this location occasionally. I have never had a problem with my order here. Whenever I come in, there is someone behind the counter to greet me even if they are busy doing something. I was compelled to write a review about this store, because of my last visit a few weeks ago. It was in the evening when I realized my birthday reward was going to expire. I didn't want to lose a reward drink so I headed to the closest store. I didn't know what to order, and had been staring at the menu for a minute before asking the cashier how the new butterscotch drink tasted. She honestly said that she hadn't tried it yet, but if I have time she will make a small cup for both of us to try. It was okay, but not something I felt like having that evening. I ended up getting a frappuccino, and had it split in two cups so I can share with my son. To me that customer service was exceptional, and Alana did a super job! This location has ample seating, and a quaint outdoor patio area. The store was clean and organized when I was there. Employees are quick and efficient. Prices, well we all know Starbucks has a reputation of charging a lot for a cup of Joe, but they are in the same range as their competitors. read more

Baristas are always friendly, cheerful, happy,energetic and sometimes flirty, thus makes a nice encounter. Seems always clean inside,as for outside that is a different story, cigarette smoke fills the doorway and disrespectful teenagers flood the outside seating area,thus makes a negative encounter. Parking is limited to 4 spaces all within inches of the neighboring parked car, your best bet is to park in the Albertsons parking area and walk over , just watch for the young A hole drivers that speed through the lot like it is a damn Nascar track,paying NO Attention pedestrian traffic or to the stop signs that are placed in said lot. read more
