This location is a little busy, but they have a lot of people working there to take care of you. The drinks were delicious. I had a pumpkin latte and an egg bite. I wanted the egg bite a little warmer so one of the staff named Jerry said "No worries, I'll make you a new one!" He even gave me a coupon. Jerry and the other staff were very friendly and helpful. I've been frequenting this Starbucks for over a year and the good far outweighs the bad. Every time I walk in the door I'm greeted warmly. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. They recently upgraded their interior decor and design, while adding more seating options. This is definitely a plus. I regularly order cappuccinos and matcha lattes and they are consistent with the way both drinks are made. A couple of times in the past they've gladly remade my drinks for free, when they weren't up to par. Bathrooms are usually cleaner than most other Starbucks. Today was not a good Starbies day. I ordered a 1/3 decaf cortado with coconut milk, extra foam and cinnamon powder. It is literally undrinkable. It has a burnt taste and is just so bad. We ordered the Mocha Cookie Crumble Grande Frappuccino and Mocha Venti with an extra shot Frappuccino this afternoon. We were in San Jose for a Basketball Tournament and our first time at this location and Kade made our Frappuccino. Such a dedicated worker! Looked like one worker was getting off work as he was taking off his apron. He was chatting with the barista that took our order as Kade was working by himself making several orders before ours were ready. My husband noticed that there wasn't much team work! And it was handed to my directly after being made from the barista so it's not like I let it sit before picking up. Also had some bitter meh cold brew in the past. I normally go to the Coleman location but wanted to start going to this specific location since it's closer to my apt. In 2/3 of my visits here, this one barista was just looking at me some type of way (You know when a girl looks at you like she's judging tf out of you? Well I feel it with this one barista). Not only did she make my first drink wrong after mf eyeing me sideways the entire time she's making it--made it mocha instead of white mocha. Didn't make a big deal out of it bc I felt bad that it's was pretty much a holiday and she was having to work--whatever. Today when I walk in, I clock the same barista working.. she makes my drink correctly but then when I ask for more oat milk (which I believe was super neutral I wasn't giving attitude or anything) she gives me that same judgey stare and gives me the tiniest bit of oat milk. If I needed to pay for more just say that?? The girl who picked up her drink before mine, I noticed how she perked up to say you're welcome for the drink. Pretty standard Starbucks experience recently, which has been being met with a cheerful staff with good recommendations. The location and clean, but parking at times can be tricky. I haven't tried the food at this location, but the Refreshers I tend to select have been executed well. The seating is well spaced, but I wouldn't call it cozy and encouraging one to stay for a while. This area of Lake Forest has several competitive coffee/cafe locations and I would say Starbucks is still holding its own even though it is not a mom and pop shop. read more

I ordered a hot matcha latte, paid $1 extra for soy milk since I'm lactose intolerant. They tossed my tea on the counter and didn't call my name when it's done. I asked for a cup of ice when picked my tea off the counter. I got ignored by this "big bone" guy who walked around. I reminded them again that I need a cup of ice then a girl told me that the guy was busy making order! So if he kept making orders when I would get my ice? Here's my concern, more times than not, the wait time in the morning is longer than it should be. And whether it's a staff of 2, or 6, the disorganization is apparent. And the lack of leadership is visible when you see the manager(s) doing paperwork, at a table, while the chaos unfolds and the register's line snakes to and out the door. Will I keep coming? Probably because of its location. I would like to see the leadership team be more proactive, or at the very least reactive, when it's morning rush hour. read more

First time I came to this Starbucks, and it was a rough start. My friend has Stars and tried applying for a free drink but the cashier accidentally charged and the free drink wasn't applied. It's fine but when I received my order the drink wasn't filled to the max and there was some space from the top of the lid. Okay, whatever. But when I ordered "light ice" after I finished my drink after 10 minutes, the ice was filled more than halfway. I'm not sure if that's the definition of "light ice" but alright.
