I appreciate how everyone there tried to provide me with options for no caffine and I ended up with the mint majesty tea with some lemon which was very good. This Starbucks is in the vicinity of Mesa College, Kearny High School, Sharp Memorial Hospital, and Rady Children's Hospital... so naturally, it is quite busy here. The pick up counter had a ton of orders when I arrived with my buddy (see picture). Although the employees were busy, they took the time to welcome us when we walked in. We had a short wait in line, then placed our order. We got our drinks in a relatively short amount of time. Service is usually good here. This location also has a drive thru which can also get busy and affect getting into this little shopping center. I have seen this happen mostly in the morning. So if you're in a hurry, although it's a little farther, Starbucks down the road on Convoy might be a little faster. Our drinks were good and what we expected. The good thing about Starbucks is you know exactly what you're getting and what it should taste like. Mom and Pop shops might take some trial and error and the quality and taste might vary (sometimes better and sometimes worse). It's good that Starbucks expanded their menu and now serves food items and snacks. Smart idea and saves people from having to go to multiple places to grab coffee and breakfast or a snack. There's no day that I will miss a drink from Starbucks, I will stop whenever I see one. Sometimes I get them 3 times a day or just 1 a day. But my usual stop is here at this Starbucks location 'coz it has a Drive-Thru service, so it's very convenient since it's Tough to find a parking around when there are other stores next to it and the parking is very tight here. Sometimes I sit inside, but I try to avoid this place in the early morning during School hours because this Starbucks is near a High School, within walking distance for the students. In 6 Months I always earn 8,000 points and I use them for my drinks, tumblers, or bakery items. These Starbucks Reward points have an expiration date so check them before your Points expire. The Staff here is nice and the bathroom is always clean, the service here is mostly fast and the drinks are made well. Definitely the smaller size Starbucks location in a small shopping plaza as well, I would assume people stop here just to grab a to go drink, definitely not a lot of spaces to sit inside to hang out play games or even study, but I did see random people occupied 2 or more tables for themselves here. The parking spaces outside aren't any better, it's limited as it shares with other restaurants in the plaza as well, so if you decide to meet a friend here, probably not ideal. I used to go to this location every. Single. Day. Sometimes twice a day. That's just how often I get Starbucks. But I've been avoiding this location, and I haven't been wanting to do a review because almost every single person there is so kind to me and my kids. However after this morning it's just too much. I get the same drink every time, a pink drink with light ice and no strawberries. And the last few weeks every single time I go the drink is practically white. I want a pink drink, not a white drink. I started testing it out and every single other location I've been to makes a PINK pink drink, but this location makes a white drink with a side of pink. I feel horrible complaining about the color of my drink but it's not tasty drinking 90% coconut milk. I've started ordering my drink "a splash of coconut milk", at only this location, because again I don't have to do this at any other Starbucks. But still the drink looks the exact same way. I ordered ahead this morning, a drink for my brother and my pink drink. I get there and I have to wait another 8 minutes after my brother's latte is done for my drink to be ready. And then it's white. I asked the lady to please make it more pink because the drink was practically white and she told me that she did because she saw the "splash of coconut". With multiple young children I don't always have the time or energy to request it to be made the correct way. And I'm tired of having to ask for it be fixed every visit, and then getting the drink back looking the exact same way. I've added a picture of my drink this morning for reference, you can see how I asked for less coconut milk. And this is what it looked like AFTER sending it back and asking for even less. I know this may not seem like a big deal to many, but when I am spending HUNDREDS of dollars a month I'd like for the only drink I ever get to be made correctly. I was really impressed with Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson for committing to paying all Starbucks employees for 30 days regardless if they went to work or not. Many locations have closed because of the current Covid19 situation, but this one remains open so i decided to support Starbucks and the workers today. Each time I have ordered here, there has been something not right about almost every order I have made. Their drinks never seem up to actual Starbucks standards from when you order from any other location. Now today I got a pumpkin spice latte, drove home and haven't taken one single sip. Drive thru around the back of the building. It can get pretty crowded since it's near the high school and community college. I went on a Saturday afternoon and there was about 5 cars in the drive thru but honestly it just depends. You can park and go in but the parking in front is kinda small or you can park in the back of the building. The cashier was such a sweetheart! After today, I will never go to this location. I work at the hospital and I'll drive down the road to convoy instead. I got to this Starbucks after placing a mobile order and they were closed. This is a good study group Starbucks, with a drive thru I may add, because they offer a large long study table with power hook ups. I stopped in to get some work done and use their always reliable free WiFi service provided by Google, and to enjoy a Grande Cafe Miso and a toasted multi grain bagel with butter. The cafe misto rocked, probably because I had them make it with the dark roast, which was quite evident after the first sip. It was strong and robust, but easy to drink given the hot milk that was poured into it. The bagel came extra toasted as I requested and I was pleased that the pad of Irish Kerrygold Butter was at room temperature so it was easy to spread. I hate it when they give me a rock hard pad of butter. Anyways, the bagel tasted great and the butter tasted even better! I spent a couple of hours working there, and took the liberty to observe a lot of the service runs. For, the most part, the employees were very friendly and kept things moving along. They had some very busy spurts when the lines were to the door, but they kept it together. They lady who took my order was nice and my items game out in a reasonable amount of time. read more
