The mango ice cream was my favorite flavor. And holy the fresh mango was sooo ripe and sweet. BLESS MANGO SEASON!!! The pandan and thai tea flavors were also good and all this for just $10 is actually A STEAL!! It was a good portion for 2 people :) It also came with coconut meat -- I wasn't a fan of it, but my friend was! Please come try!! We came on a Sunday afternoon, and it was packed! Wow.... what an amazing dessert spot to beat the heat! Such inviting, cute decor tucked away on the side of the street. Coco Bomb is the best Mango Sticky rice you will have in SD! I was lucky enough to stumble upon their tent at the OB Farmer's Market and was blown away with how delicious this was. I've had many mango sticky rice desserts in SD but this one was phenomenal. The rice was perfectly cooked and flavored, and the mango was out of this world. Parking is very tight and limited here. You can park on the right side where it says "30 mins," other than that I've seen other people park at the convenience store next door. Inside is very small, about 5 tables. Outside about a few. So, we placed an order for Thai iced tea, mango with sticky rice, and coconut sundae. We were lucky enough to find a table inside. The rush slowed down after 6:30 pm on a Saturday. Service was very friendly and they worked efficiently. Prices were fair. -Thai iced tea 5 - probably one of the best ones I've ever had. This is officially my new favorite dessert spot in town. Not sure why it took me so long to finally check this place out because I honestly wanted to try everything on the menu. I LOVE that most of their menu items are vegan and gluten-free. We ended up getting the mango sticky rice and a coconut sundae with mango, Thai iced tea, and coconut ice cream scoops, topped with fresh mango which was served in an actual coconut, which was such a fun touch. Cute little spot serving refreshing treats! The highlight for me was their coconut ice cream. The sundae is really cute and is essentially 3 scoops of ice cream + some coconut meat slices. It's extra pretty if you add toppings like their super sweet mango. All of the scoops of ice cream were on the icier side but flavorful. Coconut was sweet and fantastically refreshing, while the taro was a bit more subtle but nutty and enjoyable. The vanilla was an old fashioned vanilla which was creamier than the other flavors but still definitely a bit icy. I would just get 3 scoops of coconut next time! The added mango on top was super sweet and soft, which contrasted drastically the meaty texture and very subdued flavor of the coconut pieces (maybe shouldn't have eaten it after that sweet mango!). They also have some unique Thai flavors of Lay's chips + special desserts (mango sticky rice, coconut pancakes, coconut pudding, etc.). I've been wanting to try this place for so long and it was so worth the wait. The ice cream flavors are so wonderful, I got mango, pandan and coconut. The pandan was surprisingly my favorite. The coconut was to die for as well. I got it with sticky rice (you must do this for the full experience). It was literally to die for and there's not many dessert places with this similar concept. My order came out super fast, the cashier was very sweet. There's not a lot of parking so just prepare for that. The ambiance was nice and peaceful. The place was quant and small but it fit the vibe.
