Was craving something fresh to drink or eat on the drive back home to LA. A quick search on Yelp led us to Jamba. Parking was a little tricky since it's located in a very cramp and busy plaza lot. We were greeted by a friendly woman behind the counter. We have our usual Jamba drinks so we ordered right away and only waited minutes before our drinks were on the counter for us. The location was a small corner shop but it was bright, colorful, and had a two person seating area with a cute "peel the vibe" sign for photo ops. This store is located in the same shopping center as the Arrive apartments in Linda Vista. I frequent this Jamba location the most. My husband ritually gets a strawberry surf rider and I will usually get a pink star, but sometimes I rotate between a PB moo'd or white gummi. We'll also get the cheddar tomato twists from time to time and typically don't have issues with quality. Sometimes our drinks will be off, but that will usually only happen when we order through UberEats. I think the only issue I ever have is the lack of customer service. Sometimes the staff are very friendly, but most times the staff are robotic and non-responsive. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with COVID-19 or job turnover, but it reflects my 4-star rating; I would drop it to a 3-star rating if the quality of the drinks/food were consistently inconsistent. I frequent here since I live down the street. Ordered via Door Dash on 11/23/22 and my smoothie was missing 1/4 the amount. I called the store and all I got was- "oops, sorry". Although they did not have some fresh coffee available, they do make some great steal cut oatmeal with a choice of toppings. For my oatmeal, I topped it with brown sugar crumble, shaved coconut, and some clover honey. The oatmeal was well cooked and tasted quite good. It arrived piping hot and came topped with a moderate amount of coconut and brown sugar. Both were very tasty with the oatmeal and so was the honey, but it definitely needed more of it, that tasty clover honey that is. For being early in the morning, the employees were in good spirits, but I would not mind if they would not hold back on those oatmeal toppings. No complaints about this Jamba. It's centrally located in the same shopping center as Urbane and Starbucks. There's plenty of parking and they're always quick and tasty! Sometimes this area can get really congested, but I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for my smoothie. I love going in the fall to get the pumpkin smash. Recently, they've also been sending out coupons in the mail, so be on the lookout. They have bogo deals as well as deals on the new almond milk smoothies. I like the pumpkin delight. I ordered two large "fresh squeezed" orange juices which was $15. I got home and gagged when I took a sip. It was thick, sour and nothing like what orange juice is supposed to taste like... I have ordered orange juice before and this was not it. I called to ask for an exchange or refund or something, nobody answered, I left a voicemail but never got called back. Just don't order this. Apart from that... the cashier who also made my order was very unwelcoming. Ashton I believe was her name. When I asked for the fresh squeezed juice she rolled her eyes. I asked if there was a problem and she said they were getting ready to close and had already cleaned up. It was 6, I thought they closed at 8, at least it's what it said online. Just stopped in for a smoothie. My go to is the strawberries wild, nothing special just a nice fruit smoothie. I don't know all of the other stuff they offer because I get the same stuff every time. Two ladies in there this morning both seem pretty friendly, got my drink within 2 to 3 minutes after ordering. 9:30 AM on Friday. For a large smoothie price a little under six bucks for what I ordered. They are having a special now for the holiday season, if you buy a gift card for $25 you can get two small smoothies for free which seems to be a pretty good deal. read more

They girls were not friendly to me and all I ordered was a large peanut butter mood and asked to sub the soy milk out for any other milk cause i can't have soy. It always a little tougher to give a specific or unique details when I'm reviewing a chain establishment. Jamba is a prepackaged experience and franchises are designed (like any other franchise) to conform to it's corporate mold. I've been told there are two jobs that are known for causing hearing damage - dentists because of drill noise and pilots because of engine noise. Add Jamba Juice workers to that list as they're audibly pounded by screaming juicers the entire day. Anywayyy, as Jamba Juice stores go this one has a product commensurate to other JJ's but very limited indoor seating and a very tight parking lot with limited parking. The employees working when I strolled in were cordial and as efficient as they could be with what appeared to somewhat limited staffing. It took a while to get our stuff but we were in no hurry and I was more enthralled watching a guy studying a college text book as the orchestra of blenders and people swirled around him. Approach to this particular Jamba Juice is a little difficult if you're coming from the north and you've got to a bit more navigating if you're coming from Moreno. South entry to the lot appears to more accessible. My go to carrot juice was okay though not even close to Farm to Fork flavor or quality. I sampled a bit of a banana berry smoothie and it tasted fine. These are popular spots and are a decent alternative to some other choices out there. I love the quality and consistency of their juiced beverages and food. No matter which Jamba you go to they are each made and run in the same way. They only things I don't like is them charging extra for a boost- used to be free 3 years ago. Now the cost of the smoothies has gone so high I ended up paying 18$ for 3 regular smoothies. The smoothie only lasts you for a little while, even with the protein boost. I usually get 1 large and have them split it for my 2 girls. After my last trip to the other Jamba Juice, I started frequenting my local Jamba and really like it. It's open early so I can run in on my way to work. There are usually two employees in the morning and they do a great job of being cheerful and getting my order quick. The parking lot can be busy, but in the morning there is VIP parking right out front! I do agree with other Yelpers, the cost for what I get is a little overrated. $6 for a 32oz smoothie? Your typical Jamba Juice - I found it fairly easily with my google maps app while visiting San Diego a few weeks ago - there is a small parking lot but I easily found a spot and was able to get my Acai breakfast bowl before driving to La Jolla. Staff were friendly and pretty fast - they had three people working inside that AM so they didn't get overly crowded or bogged down with orders while I was inside at around 9am. I used the key to use the bathroom and it was pretty sparse but was clean enough. My smoothie and Acai bowl were good and filled with fresh taste and ingredients. They were talking and left the waffle in the heater so it burned- they were sweating the laughing the whole time and the guy took the new waffle out and left it on top of the heater because his hands were wet so the waffle sat there for another 5 minutes not wrapped up until the girl laughed and finally gave it to me. When I ordered a juice, she glared at me and grumpily said it will take 10 minutes. I am assuming that this may be because they were attempting to close early and had already started to clean the machines. We came back after 10 minutes and were handed our drinks. They were already cleaning, and as we left, there was no greeting as a goodbye. They both just stared at us. It's understandable that employees would want to clean up in order to close early, but nonetheless the customer service should Atleast be considered decent, which we would not describe this experience as. I've been a regular for a while now but today was the most uncomfortable I've ever been walking into a jamba juice and needless to say I won't be coming back. I'm still bitter and shocked by it. I walked in and had my usual order and at the end of the order, Ashton the cashier said that I was staring at customers and then went on to say "try not to be so rude", in front of everybody there. I have mixed feelings about most Jamba Juices. The peppy up-beat pop dance music soundtrack, the antiseptic white space coupled with wood paneling, and the friendly bordering on saccharine cheers always make me a little wary. However, I'm a fan of their smoothies. And this past week, I've been pretty damn sick. When I haven't wanted to eat much, I've opted instead for an all-fruit smoothie that doesn't get me feeling bleh with any dairy. (I feel colds, plus dairy equals more unhappy for me). Jamba has a delightful batch of fruit concoctions to choose from, and when I'm not sick, their yogurty breakfasty thangs are pretty good too. But what sells me on this location are two things. The first is somewhat trivial. I teach two blocks from this place, so it's an easy stop-over for a natural pick-me-up before or after the education happens. Second? They have Eric Schlosser's "Fast Food Nation" for sale there. Three copies sit on a warm wooden shelf next to the New Age-y "Four Agreements" and that damn Paul Newman popcorn. And in the inevitable 5-10 minute wait for my drink, I pick up a copy of Fast Food Nation. Two copies of the book are shiny, begging to be purchased. But there's one edition, beat up on the edges with a cracked spine and dirty pages, that convinces me I'm not the first one to find this a way to pass the time. This week, thanks to the cold, I went to the Jamba Juice 3 times. And each time, I found myself learning more about America's unique love affair with fast food and the culture its inspired. Today I actually found myself driving to the JJ more excited about reading Chapter two than drinking my Strawberry Whirl. Good thing there was a long line today. 26 pages. Sweet. Simply put, Jamba makes nice smoothies, doubles as a library, and has friendly employees. I'll be there to get my read and beverage on soon. :) read more

Service was very good and staff are always friendly. They get your smoothie out quickly which is always nice! I've never had a bad smoothie from this location. The fruit is nice and fresh but I think slightly over priced for what you get. This Jamba Juice, and I think many others, has been recently redesigned. I think they are trying to make jamba a more inviting place to stay and eat your meals, so they've added more comfortable seating and a tv and stuff. I just went to pick up a smoothie for the office and myself. There was a general consensus of what they wanted, but mostly it was "or whatever, something good". Well, the experience was anything but good. There was one angry looking employee behind the counter, loud music, and a couple of teenage girls hanging hanging around. The cashier was a training mentor (she had one of those gold swirlie pins on her name tag) and she didn't say "hi" or smile (ding - that's even against the customer service guidelines!). She took the orders. It was a little difficult because she wasn't pay attention. I asked if she could turn the music down a little. She scoffed. I forgot something. I asked another team member if he could put a femme boost or lady's health boost into the smoothies (this was the ladies' requests from the office). He looked puzzled. The training mentor cashier gave me a nasty look and said, "We don't have the fem boost anymore." I asked if two of the smoothies could have a vitamin boost. I didn't care if mine had a boost. It seemed important to the others that there be added nutritional value. New guy still looks puzzled and looks to mean training mentor for what to do. She says, "He actually wants you to reblend the smoothies." She scoffs again. Btw, they were using just two blend stations instead of all four. Yeah, it saves cleaning for later, but come on... Oh well, it is not like there were any customers going in during the lunch rush... I guess everyone else knew better. After another nasty look, new guy and cashier hand over the smoothies. I ask for a drink carrier and get the rolling eyes and "whatever". How the mighty have fallen! Jamba used to mean FIBER and customer service! Anyway, the Mango A Go Go was lumpy and REALLY sour. The smoothies with a boost tasted chalky and dry (there is a trick - put less boost in the smoothie than the scoop so you don't sacrifice texture or flavor) and my peanut butter and jelly tasted expired, bad strawberries or something. Yuck! And the total on the receipt left me feeling like I had been all around screwed. Make sure that you read the reviews from real people and not just the ninja employee reviews. This Jamba failed to even meet my expectations and I felt uncomfortable the entire time. The crew members were also supposed to say "Thank you" when handing over product or when I left, they didn't. The trash can was overflowing, the blend stations looked grungy, the floor was sticky where I picked up my smoothies, and the music was hurting my brain. Save the money. Skip the calories.
