Honestly not sure what everyone is complaining about! Don't come into our small town and be pissed that the baristas are personable and maybe have a two sentence conversation with each of their regulars instead of passing them right ahead so they can get to the next order. They may take a little time, but it really is because of human interaction taking place (something many no longer understand). As for getting the wrong drink- our baristas are HUMAN. Mistakes happen, maybe instead of rudely insisting your order is wrong KINDLY let them know and they will be more than happy to remake it. On another note I have had the redheaded barista serve me many times and it's been nothing but pleasant! She happily says hello & takes your order with a smile! Those that have had trouble with her were probably rude in the first place! These baristas are human and deal with way more sass than they should have to. If she did role her eyes you probably weren't the first person to rudely act entitled about their Trenta cup of green tea or coffee that day- so cut them some slack and say it with a smile next time! This is my favorite Starbucks & will remain that way. Baristas are kind and very personable. Oh yeah & if you hate long lines, maybe don't come to a town with only ONE Starbucks (duh) or try ordering on the mobile app and picking it up right when you get there (also duh- we live in the 21st century- if you're going to act like an entitled snob who deserves to be served coffee in under 2 mins at least be smart enough to solve your own problems with technology! This is a great Starbucks location. The service is really fast and efficient. It's nice to see a damn Starbucks that has separate baristas for the drive-thru and walk-in. For some reason Manteca Bucks only has one person making coffee for both, grrr! Sucks though that flies in the Valley are gnarly right now, so be prepared to sit inside with tons swarming around your head and your food/drink. As always the drive-thru line is crazy, your best bet is to stop being a lazy ass and walk in, you'll be happy you did. read more

I did read the reviews and hesitated before going through the drive-through at this location. The wait was quicker than a lot of drive-through Starbucks I've been to before. I had two barista's help me at the window and they are both very friendly, kind and courteous - what more can you ask for. My drink was made perfectly and is very delicious. If you have no patience maybe don't go, but it was actually pretty quick and there were probably 8 - 11 cars ahead of me. The workers are friendly but there was a swarm of bees by the drive thru intercom today and one flew in and out of my car. This probably isn't a problem for normal people but I'm allergic to bees and the last thing I need is a swarm of them by the drive thru intercom while I'm making my order. read more

For being a new Starbucks I was shocked when I first came here. Even though the drive through is a long wait it's Starbucks what do you expect. All my drinks are always correct and always given to me with a smile and a farewell! Everyone's super nice and helpful and drinks are made efficiently. 10/10 I Stan! read more

Not worth it. They are not very friendly and they take FOREVER. I asked for caramel in my vanilla frap and they literally put and inch of caramel so thick i couldn't even drink it! It wouldn't go through the straw. I wasted 4 dollars.. Not going here again read more

Let me start off by saying this use to be my favorite Starbucks.. I drive through here on my way to work every day at 4:45pm.. I don't know what happened to their service this winter but it has taken a drastic downward spiral.. which leads me to this review.. I place my order as usual with no questions about clarification or a repeat of my order back so I assume that the girl taking my order heard me precisely. (The times I have no trouble are the times they repeat my order back to me) I have had a number of issues with my drinks over the last couple of months so I always make sure to open the lid and taste before I leave. When I get to the window, she hands me my drinks. A flat white and a white mocha with a few customizations.. (non-fat with whip, extra hot, 2 pumps, etc).. I do the usual and open it up.. no whip cream.. ok, that's an easy fix.. I then decide to read the label and she basically didn't get any of my customizations right.. I get that it can be annoying or whatever it it's not like this is a $.50 cup of coffee... when she opened the window, I let her know what was wrong and she kindly said "oh, there's no whip?" As if that was the only thing wrong about this drink.. I told her "there is not, also there is cinnamon on top and I only wanted two pumps of the white mocha.. sorrrrry" she kindly takes my drink says "ok".. I watch her take my drink to the barista counter.. scoop off the foam and add whip cream to the top, turn around and bring it to the window to give to me. When she tried to hand it to me I said "this drink is still wrong because it has the wrong amount of sweetener" to which she replied, "so you want us to remake the entire thing??" UMMMM no I was just telling you to let you know... DUH I want you to make it over... so I said "well, it's wrong, so yes." I get my drink after a solid 10 minutes back and forth with this chick.. made correct, finally.. I realize that to many this may seem like a ridiculous thing to complain about but this was just the straw that broke the camels back. ATT: STARBUCKS in RIPON, CA!!! Prettttttttty please bring back the old crew.. and I know you know who I'm talking about!! This new hires are grumpy and do not belong in customer service.. it's about more than just pumping out coffee ASAP..Also of note.. the girl with the pixie cut is a barista y'all should model every person you hire after. She is always smiling and happy to serve her customers and I am ALWAYS relieved when I hear her over the speaker through the drive through because I know I'm not going to feel like I'm ruining somebody's day by ordering an effing coffee at a Starbucks.. I personally love this STARBUCKS! I have never once received any baristas that are rude. Customer Service can be a difficult job, and from some of the people leaving reviews on here, it looks like you like giving negative reviews out all the time. (Or maybe you like being that difficult customer.) It's just a coffee establishment ppl. Don't expect to be treated like a D*** Queen. I really like this Starbucks! They always remember you, they're super friendly and hey, maybe the last guy was not a cute girl like me haha! But I was in line 2 Saturdays ago and waited about 10 minutes in line. When I got up to the drive thru window it seemed like the computer was freaking out and all the orders were out of whack. The nice guy at the window asked what I ordered and handed it to me, apologized and said don't worry about it! I was amazed! Free Coffee and Pastries whoo hoo! THIS IS SERIOUSLY THE WORST STARBUCKS! They always have the worst attitudes POOR customer service and timing and never make drinks properly. They are ALWAYS talking to one another rather than paying attention to your order and doing it properly. They don't understand the concept of time and just sit around like nothing in the world matters, it's nothing new and has always been this way. I've called the manager numerous times and they never care and laugh it off when I tell them about how the girls that work there always cop attitudes with customers and or seem repulsed when asking to remake a drink because they didn't do it right the first time. This is an absolutely gross SBs. It gets a lot of traffic for sure but they don't have anyone to clean and restock. Currently, there are two large buckets of something gross sitting on the counter, the food in the case has literally been there a week, there is trash and food all over their back counter and there is trash everywhere. Piss poor management here. If you're driving down the freeway, keep going to Manteca. Gross!!!! read more

Let me start by saying I ADORE Starbucks. The drinks are amazing, food/pastries super tasty, and USUALLY the service at most locations is nothing short of awesome. That being said, this location is an absolute dissapointment. I have never had such horrible service. I was prompted to make this review based on one certain experience, but this location is ALWAYS very slow. Like wait in the drive-thru half an hour slow. My most recent visit was not only slow, but also quite maddening. Horrible service. When I ordered a very slightly customized drink I was very rudely told that the quality of my drink could not be guaranteed. Excuse me? I have ordered this drink at several other locations with absolutely no problem but I guess the baristas at this location ("Tammy" in particular) are just incompetent. Went through the drive thru today. the wonderful lady was very cheerful and so nice. to me. The staff worked really fast and did a great job serving me. Worst Starbucks I've been to while traveling. We go through the drive thru initially and wanted to get a refill for my mom's passion tea since you can get free ones from a gold card. So they tell us we have to come inside to redeem it. So we do and once inside, the barista asks me if I had been to this Starbucks for the refill and I say "no". She then tells me she can't give me a free refill because it's not from the same location. I respond with telling her I've never had a problem getting a refill at other places. She argues with me further and says that's "their policy" and charges me full price. I wanted to use the same cup to save plastic and she argues with me again and says that "there's bacteria in there so we're gonna use a new cup." There isn't bacteria in a water and tea cup!!!!!! Nothing about our drinks said, amazing tasty Frappes. Perhaps you need to re-think that "diversity training" and try for plain old fashioned courtesy instead. I ordered two drinks. The barista slapped one down and called my name. I waited before I got up to retrieve it - because I knew another was coming. Finally I got up to see what the delay was about. I waited quietly and after few minutes one of the barista's asked me what my problem was. I replied that I was waiting for the second drink. Another barista looked startled, looked around and grabbed a cup that was in queue, put some whipped cream on it and slapped it down on the counter. I politely asked how could I tell which had the extra shot of espresso. She picked up the cup, slapped it down again, turned it and in a rude and snippy tone, said "it will say shot on the label". So I looked on the label. Given that she was so clearly annoyed that I had bothered her with a question - I said, it does not say "shot" anywhere on the label. Another barista spoke up to say that she meant single. Wonderful. I am so sorry that I wasted her "all so precious time". A simple response like - "this one has the extra shot" would have sufficed. No consistency in their drinks. i get the same thing everyday and it is always different. ever since the young kids have been working there the drinks have gone to shit. i now drive out of my way just to ensure consistency. learn how to make your drinks the same everytime starbucks!! if im going to pay $5 for a coffee it better be amazing and actually be made right everyday. is that too much to ask for, go back to training all of you. read more

Nice Starbucks except for some of the new baristas. They are airheads and never smile! I remember a barista named Marissa Valdez who was incredibly RUDE and needed to remove the permanent smirk on her face. Also got my order wrong and was careless. Worst Starbucks I've ever visited. I live across the freeway and come here every morning. And every morning there is something wrong with my drink. Its unbelievable how consistent the inaccuracy is. My drink is a double tall WM. Very simple. It's usually short by more than 3cm or it will be missing the extra shot which I pay more for and get ripped off regularly. I've complained to the manager many times and to Starbucks corporate and yet I still give them the benefit of the doubt and go back for more coffee. After today I've had it with the waist of my time, money, my morning everything. I'm so disappointed in the service and low quality I've received that I've decided I will never return to this Starbucks again. And I live with in a mile of here but will choose to go to Manteca or Modesto for my Starbucks, no other location has got my drink so wrong or ever wrong for that matter.
