This is a review for the Starbucks in Redmond town Center, the one that is in the Central Circle plaza. It's on the lower level, not too far from Bath and Bodyworks body works. I'm leaving this review because initially I didn't like this Starbucks! The barista's were unkind, and not very helpful. However, after some time spent there today, that proves that the staff truly make the difference. The staff that was working today was 100% helpful, super kind, and very patient even if it was a busy morning. Putting the customer first, informing me about drinks, teaching instead of telling. I was really impressed with three of the women who work here in particular. I hope somebody who has some power reads this, and does something nice for their staff. They deserve some appreciation. I had been to Starbucks many times, but never felt the need to write review since it seems like everyone in Seattle visits these daily. However, with the test run of the Unicorn frappuccino I thought it was time. In general, I like their frappuccinos. They are often perfect for hot days as a nice treat. The Unicorn is probably the sweetest I have tried. It is really unusual. The first taste before swirling was very sweet--almost too much so (even for someone like me who loves their sugar). You can definitely taste the mango. It becomes fun when you stir it up. The colors turn lighter and it seems to unlock some tartness. I heard someone say it was like Sweettarts which is probably the best comparison--although this was better. The Unicorn is a really unique drink. I am not sure I would order it regularly, but if they bring it back every year or so I would probably order it again. It is a good change of pace. read more

- Barista needs more training- I was out of the country on my bday, so I called the starbucks # and they added my reward back in and she told me it would expire in 4 days. I went to this store and told the barista about it. She kept insisting that it'll expire in 4 days and asked me when my bday was when I made it clear that I called to have it added back in already. Then she said "well, it expired...". So i had to ask her what should i do cuz i called the company already. Here's the thing. This is a very good Starbucks. The people are friendly, it's clean, and it's pretty quick. Here's the other thing: Starbucks food is disgusting. I got a crumb cake today, and I was expecting the barista to take it from the case. Nope. she pulled it from a little plastic bag, my heart sank. I could see it falling apart as she tried to remove it, and probably only 80% of it made it to the bag. Sure enough, the one bite I had tasted overly preserved. It was also soaking wet on the bottom, because it had been bagged when it was warm, and the condensation just soaked into the cake. So it was inedible and gross. Biting into soggy wet cake is a super unpleasant experience. I'm sure if I had returned it they would have apologized and cheerfully returned my money, but I don't want an apology, I just want my food not to suck, and that is never going to happen here. So I just threw it away after one bite and took the L. So here's the final thing: If you're at the mall, the real lesson here is to just go to the French Bakery, because even though it's kind of overpriced, the food is actually fresh, and the cake is not soggy with gross bag condensation. read more

Located on a corner in the middle of the shopping center, this Starbucks has a unique shape. Lines tend to crowd the middle of the store while the edges of the store are where people get to enjoy peaceful retreats into pleasant conversations, iconic white and green drink cups, and personal devices (outlets are readily available all along the wall right next to the seats). The store, when crowded, brings a person to tend to the second cash register, and the staff looks dedicated at bringing a smile to the faces of their customers. I smiled and said thank you to the cashier and everyone behind the counter flashed genuine smiles in return. Why am I not giving this 5 stars? The location is quite cold, and it's actually colder than outside, which is currently 61 degrees. For such a warm, welcoming location, the room temperature felt quite out of place. Pro Tip: Bring layers to this Starbucks location if you expect to stay to enjoy your order. And trust me, it's worth it to stay awhile. :) read more

When you go into a Starbucks, you know what you are going to get. Sure, some have fancy coffee extras. This is not one of those. It's just your run of the mill Starbucks. This particular one is in the middle of the Redmond Town Center, and it has a weird shape. This restricts the amount of seating and causes the lines to go through the center of the store. Fortunately, being in the middle of the mall means you can go outside and sit by the fire that is close by. The one thing that makes a Starbucks one to return to is the staff. The staff at this location were pleasant enough, but I've been in other locations that have way more energy. As a result, this isn't a location I will seek out for my Starbucks fix. read more

I like this Starbucks location out of most of the Redmond Starbucks - the staff get my Latte perfect every single time I go there. I will either order in store, or via the app for pick up, and every time the drinks are consistent. The food preparation has never failed me either. In general the staff have been pretty happy and will greet me, that has definitely improved though, which is a good thing. I find this Starbucks has a lot of laptop dwellers, so I tend to avoid sitting in the café with my order which is a pity. Overall, great coffee prep = happy customer! read more

The other Starbucks in Redmond Town Center (In the Business area) closed, so I have been forced to walk to the center of RTC to get my Basic drink at Stahbucksss. It's usually busy, so I don't recommend walking in when it's the lunch rush or the morning rush. The staff is nice and patient. I get the usual "Upside Down Caramel Macchiato with only one pump of vanilla and half amount of the light drizzle". It's a mouthful to spit out but I gotta get my Starbucks on. There are probably one billion Starbuckses in Redmond Town Center. (is that how you pluralize Starbucks? Starbuckii? Anyway...) From where I work this is the most convenient to walk to, so this is where I find myself on most mornings. Now, yes, it's a Starbucks. So you're going to be able to get your heated food, your decent coffee, and whatever frappy-half-calf-no-whip-with-soy drink strikes your fancy. And generally speaking it's about the same as any other Starbucks, which, of course, is the design. What I do love about this location, and what elevates it from a normal 3-star Starbucks to a 4-star variety is the staff. Everyone here is super friendly and efficient. It's hard to make me smile, let alone laugh, before I've had my morning cup of Joe, but the people here make it happen. Starbucks is over crowded there were 4 people in uniforms supposed to be working and 2 of the gals were standing behind the counter chatting about there dates that night. The cashier was nice and the barista man was stressed out and rude. I was in a hurry so I ordered ice tea ( which is premade behind the counter, just needed to add ice). The 4 people behind me got there super fancy blended drinks that took a lot of time to make and the barista man forgot all about my ice tea. 20 minutes later I got frustrated and left without a drink because my husband was having a fit and we were going to be late to dinner. Fix that front door! It slams hard after you enter the lovely and warm ambience of this location inside the main courtyard in the Redmond Town Center. Just what you expect: great friendly service, great coffee and snacks, lunch items and cold drinks in the cooler and plenty of seating inside and outside at umbrella tables. This is a decent Starbucks located in Redmond Town Center. I try to stop by whenever I'm in RTC. The baristas are fine, no complaints. The store isn't the largest since it is in a mall after all, but there is some seating inside and outside. The wifi signal is pretty good even while you are immediately outside. read more

I agree with the last reviewer (Jane R) on most items and I would have given them 4 stars had I not been harassed about buying Starbucks Via - TWICE. First of all, it was 92 degrees out...I'm sorry lady, but I don't want any regular (hot) Via. If I was looking for it, I would have bought it on my own (but thanks for asking). They had a big pitcher of Iced Via in front of me and I was offered a sample. Sure, I'll take one. She filled the sample cup with about .34 oz. Gee thanks. Then I was told it was on sale. Ugh, not again. Look, I was clearly a dude on a mission that day. I had a 2 year old with me, a sandwich I wanted, an iced tea, and a water. I really wasn't in the mood to be sold other items. A few suggestions: 1) Get real lemon for the iced tea please. 2) Don't put the giant pitcher of Iced Via between the two registers so I can't put anything down. Just a minor annoyance. 3) Please stop trying to up-sell your customers! We know you have other items to sell. We can clearly see them when we walk in. To be honest..:. I LOVE THIS LOCATION! It has easy parking, even street pull up parking! Usually a little bit harder to get a good spot.. They have a great staff, very warm and welcoming... Let alone friendly! Unlike most Starbucks where the employees seem to hate there job.. I don't get that feeling here. It's in the redmond town center, has great shopping near by, even a quick ice cream from cold stone... To a movie at IPIC theaters! It's a great place to hurry and snag a hot COCO and hit the ice rink with a date, or with family!! I recommend this location to anyone. read more

Great staff, just here chilling here doing some writing. High quality products... ok let's be honest that's a joke about the products, but at least it's consistent. However for the free WiFi it is pretty good. The reason why I just gave it a three star, really has nothing to do with the coffee or atmosphere. I love so many Starbucks locations, but this one is probably my favorite. I love the drive-through, I love the employees. They are quick despite being super busy and they're always happy. I have always had wonderful experiences here and I've never had a "burnt-tasting" drink. They really pay attention to the espresso shots even if you are getting something super sweet like a mocha. I go to this Starbucks almost everyday; day and night. I've seen this place flooded by mothers w/ a kid & stroller (the bar method nearby), Microsoft employees, other businessmen-women, families, high schoolers, etc. The staff is awesome. I could be getting better service just cause I'm a 'regular' here, but I have not witnessed any service below my approval level to anyone here. It's the Starbuck's company culture. Yes, Starbuck's WILL charge you $3 for coffee, $4 for a sandwich, and a few $ more for anything else. Like ALL businesses, they will try to upsell you. It's not like the employees like to try to sell you something you don't need. Just politely reject them with a smile. You'll be paying more at any Starbuck's location. If you don't want to pay $2 for drip coffee, go to 7-Eleven and say goodbye to a comfortable coffeehouse atmosphere, free Wi-Fi, Englsih-speaking employees, and a goal to make customers happy. read more
