I frequent this Starbucks location as it is the closest to my home. I am a fairly frequent customer, averaging about 5 drinks a week. I have never had a problem at this location until recently. In the past week or two service has been painfully slow at times, and drinks have been sub-par. Yesterday I ordered a green tea frap that had almost no taste. I chalked it up to a long line of cars and possibly training new employees so I ignored this. Today, however, was a different story. I arrived at the location and there was no wait to get to the ordering screen. I sat there for a good minute with no greeting, so for a moment I thought maybe they had closed for some reason. I even pulled forward thinking I would just go to a different location. When I pulled forward I saw cars waiting at the window so I backed up to the ordering box again. This time I was greeted right away. I ordered an iced green tea latte. When I arrived at the window, I was handed my drink and (since I'm used to this by now) payed with my phone right away. He almost forgot to say have a nice day before he closed the window and started taking another order. I was surprised, as everyone at Starbucks is usually very pleasant and composed. The worst part about this visit was the drink. As he handed it to me, I couldn't help but think my expression must have been total disappointment. The green tea powder was half mixed, with globs of it still stuck to the side and floating in the drink, most of it stuck to the bottom. I couldn't believe that they would serve up a drink looking this bad, I finished half of it, because when I got past that point I would get clumps of dry powder in my mouth. Really disappointing, and I don't think I'm a very critical person, especially having worked in customer service before. I just know that I wouldn't have wanted to hand that to a customer. This Starbucks location is the worst ever! I'm a regular customer and I buy the same drink everyday. So when I ordered my drink and I noticed it was more than I normally paid for, I ask the employee if there was a price change she lied and said no. I felt ripped off but I paid for it anyways. The next day I went to another Starbucks and ordered that same drink and it came up at the normal price I paid for. If I can give this particular Starbucks a negative star I would. I'm never going back to this Starbucks again. Just letting people out there to be careful about this shop, because they will rip you off any chance they get! read more

I come to this particular Starbucks location about 3-4 times a week and always use the drive-thru. The staff is friendly (particularly Randy & Janette) and I feel like they give great service. Today I had a not so great gal at the drive thru window (redhead- didn't see her name tag since she didn't even look at me) who didn't say hello, didn't make eye contact, didn't even acknowledge me! Literally scanned my phone, and was looking at the computer the entire time while she handed me my things. She closed the window and didn't say goodbye. I am mind blown at the terrible way this employee performed. There is no excuse for her awful service. I'm wondering why she has chosen to work at a busy Starbucks or with people at all? read more

I have visited here a handful of times over the last year and today the staff was really on top of things. However where they lost major points is that they have removed all of the power outlets throughout the store. There used to be plentiful outlets available, and was the major reason I selected this location instead of others. But I just discovered all of the outlets are now covered up. Seems like a clear message, we don't want people hanging out a long time even if they keep buying drinks. Oh well, GOOD JOB to the staff... But I've gotta question the store manager or district manager on this decision to remove outlets. Sounds like time to find a new place which is more mobile worker friendly. read more

I kind of like that this Starbucks is tucked away behind Barnes and Nobles, right near the Papa Johns; it feels a bit more secluded. However, I find that on weekends the inside can get pretty crowded and while I enjoy sitting at the outside tables, Redding weather isn't always the best. Tables inside could be a bit bigger, but there are more here than the Cypress Starbucks. So it is still one of my favorite Bucks in the area. The last time I got a Chai Latte here, it was pretty watery and weak. Now I just stick with getting my usual Tall Iced Coffee, 1.5 pumps white mocha, and breve (creme/half & half). Service at the register has always been really friendly for me and I get my order fairly quickly. As for the hipsters invasion that one reviewer mentioned, that is kind of a trademark for Starbucks, or for most coffee houses for that matter. I'm not a hipster myself, but I do enjoy the opportunity to observe on said species and their interesting conversations and habits. And in my opinion, hipsters, whether they're Jesus-folk or not, are much better to have in a store than say the typical Redding Walmarters, or the usual bums that seems to inhabit every city Starbucks' bathroom. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! Never go I mean never go to this Starbucks. I was there on 09/30/21 at 1:30 PM I got one Vente coffee and one tall water. When I got up to the window I handed the girl my card she handed me my coffee, I then asked if I could get some straws. She got very very annoyed and said " um yeah... after I get your water" I said OK that's fine thank you I got my water, staws but I do not remember getting my card back. I didn't go anywhere that day other than through the drive-through Starbucks. Later that night I then realized, I called the store the manager was very rude and told me there was no cards. I waited till this morning, I called again and I asked, it was a different lady, she said hold on one second let me write down your last name and I'll go check. not even 15 seconds after that the phone hung up on me. Baristas are always attentive and super sweet! Sometimes my order gets messed up which is totally fine (former barista) and they always apologize, listen to my comments and fix the moment. They are awesome. A few who stick out to me are: Brittany, Cliff, and Adam the store manager. I know almost everyone at that store knows my drink by heart when I order it so I feel special and cared for when I come into drive-thru. A great Starbucks! This one is quiet inside. Great for a quiet moment or business meeting that wont be interupted. The drive thru can be busy in the morning with the Home Depot and schools close by, but its never too crowded inside. The employees are great! read more

This store is actually the best Starbucks I've ever been too! The people who work here are hilarious! Honestly one of a kind, it feels like you are watching a sit com (if you're a people watcher that is) they are often singing, or dancing or carrying on about something. It makes it a fun friendly atmosphere with super fast service. Whenever they've gotten my drink wrong they are quick to fix it and always apologize. I'll admit, that we don't drink Starbucks on a regular basis but we took the kids in for a treat - our youngest son ordered a drink and when he tasted it, it wasn't really what he wanted. The manager was walking in as our son was taking his first drink - he could obviously tell our son didn't like it. He asked what our son was wanting so we told him "something that tastes like a thin mint cookie" he rambled off a list of ingredients and had his worker make him another drink, On the house! If I could give ZERO stars I would! I just got back from there and had the worst experience ever. I'm not too familiar with Starbucks so I got a suggestion for my drink from the barista. Of course I had NO idea what it looked like. My boyfriend and I sat down and waited for a while wondering why our drinks weren't called out. We went up to the counter where we saw many drinks but weren't sure which was ours and none were marked (he wasn't even calling out the drinks loud enough for us to hear). The barista saw us standing there looking confused and didn't offer us any help. We stood there for a while trying to get his attention to ask which drinks were ours an he didn't even pay us any attention. I will NEVER go back to Starbucks. Bad customer service bad drinks. Skip this store and go down the road to the one by Safeway. "Kelli" was on bar and gave us an iced coffee that tasted like a cigarette. I waited at the bar for 5 minutes while she walked around ignoring us and by the time she came over to hand out an iced water she was very rude to us as well as the lady after us. The lady after us asked for whip and caramel on her drink, Kelli said nothing and took the drink back and only put whip on it, then the lady asked for caramel again and Kelli just said "okay" took it back and put a big glob of caramel on one side of the whip. Seemed like it would've killed her to smile. I'm a former Starbucks barista and I would have been chewed out had I treated a customer like that. So I am talking to the cashier placing my order, she was a little confused with what I was asking for. Which was completely fine.. as i am talking to her to try and help her understand which one I wanted. When I said the juice, two other employees decided to quickly turn around and say we don't have that juice and then turned around. While I'm asking okay what can I do that's mango or to see if the infusions were adding flavors or exactly what. This poor cashier is confused and they couldn't help her or even help me find a solution. But can turn around to quickly say don't have that juice. So that was already frustrating that you guys couldn't help me and the cashier to better understand or have a solution. So I just placed an order without it. Now when I received my drink, was incorrect. No apple juice was added. You can taste that my drink had no juice what's so ever besides water and the tea. Oh you guys could hear enough to tell us about not having a product but not only cannot help assist in finding a solution but also no do the order right? Such a mess. DIRTY & POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I travel for business up and down the I-5. Typically, I find Starbucks to be consistent in delivery, customer service and a great meeting place, however there are sad exceptions. I steer my meetings away from Churn Creek Rd, Redding CA location as it's consistently DIRTY. Today was no exception. I've been easily been here for over an hour. 2 tables and surrounding floor are a sticky mess with huge muffins crumbs and dried coffee spills when I arrived. The staff are by no means swamped. As I'd been driving quite awhile, when I arrived, I told a staff woman that I urgently need the bathroom pass code and that I'll order when relieved. "We only give this to paying customers" Some of the other staff murmured to give it to me. It's a judgement call. I left, went to the bathroom elsewhere and came back for a coffee and the meeting.
