I frequent the Starbucks because it's close to my home. The service is always great. The drinks are always on point and they never seem to run out of ingredients or items which I does happen frequently at other Starbucks. The service is great and the baristas are friendly. There's always plenty of room to either do work, do homework, or sit down and have a chat with a friend, so I really like this location. The one thing I would love for them to do is to clean the counters and the floor more often because they always seem to be a bit dirty when I come in. read more

This is a large, clean Starbucks with plenty of seating, but the service is inconsistent at best. Whenever I order a food and drink item, they almost always forget one of them. Totally get that it's a busy location, but it seems like a fairly consistent issue that the person running the cash register doesn't communicate the full order to the kitchen. Leaving another review because the mgmt here has no idea how to run a 1st grade playground let alone a coffee shop. Between being out of drink carriers, being out of decaf by 9am and the new normal of waiting 25 plus minutes for a coffee this is abysmal. Just came back from coffee at this location and have to say it is becoming one of my favorite locations. It's neat and clean but more importantly the staff is exceptional. They are all helpful but this one lady serving behind the counter is quite a character yelling out names and drinks with such passion and sense of humor it makes it enjoyable to be in her presence. The service is so slow. Employees always talking amongst themselves. In a group and backs to door and customers.The place is usually dirty and overrun with fruit flies even in the bathrooms! Even managers and shift supervisors do not react with any sense of urgency with service or cleanliness issues. There is no cafe experience when seated. Music too loud and employees always goofing off. Foodborne illness should be a concern employees constantly touching hair and phones then making drinks and not washing hands. Decent spot to get work done in Mahwah. Pretty quiet with background music and nice interior with lots of seats. I usually come here for black coffee and cake pops. One time I was here and I was asking about both birthday cake and chocolate cake pops. I was clearly indecisive and I just went with the birthday cake pop since I was familiar with it. However, the lady behind the register walked over to my work spot and passed me off a chocolate cake pop. Faith in human kindness restored!! This Starbucks has always been my go-to location, but my recent experience was really disappointing. I placed back-to-back orders for the same drink, and they only made one. After waiting several minutes watching and waiting, I finally asked where my second drink was. Without even looking they said 'We're making it'. Then, another staff member told me there was another customer with the same name who ordered the same thing- but it was clear they simply didn't make my second drink. I have gotten the same response at different locations when there is a mistake with the order. By the time they sorted it out and made the missing drink, I was running late getting my kids to school. Mistakes happen, but this location seems to have ongoing issues with order accuracy and communication. I really hope they improve, because I usually love coming here. read more

I usually always come to this location for my drinks, but I hate the feeling of feeling like I can only order a drink if I'm present to watch them make it. I want to have the satisfaction of knowing that my drink will be done properly and not carelessly. I ordered a Venti Caramel Ribbon Crunch and not only was there no crunch, but I opened the drink to find little black things in it. I have no idea what it is and now I feel weird seeing this AFTER I drank most of it. People shouldn't have to feel paranoid about whether their drink will be done properly if they order online. We should trust the employees to create drinks properly, whether you are there or not. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. my experience today at Starbucks in ramsey was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at an establishment in a long time. I ordered a Venti strawberry açai lemonade with light ice. My order took a while as expected as there were a solid amount of people in the store. they give me my drink? almost the entire thing is filled to the top with ice. I asked the barista that made my drink if what he gave me was light ice, and he then looked at the order and said "No? Do you want me to give you more strawberry açaí since you drank the whole thing?" Very very rude. Mind you I wouldn't have drank the entire drink if the whole thing wasn't made of ice, seven dollars worth of ice. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! very unhelpful and RUDE staff. read more

Pros: An older population (by older, I mean no loud middle or high schoolers) tends to occupy the café when I come here at night, which is great when I'm trying to squeeze in some study time. This location is also HUGE. Lots of seating to choose from. Con: This Starbucks is located in a small strip mall with limited parking, so finding a spot may be a hassle depending on what time you go. Aside from that, this location isn't too different from others I've been to. Like most locations, the café is clean and the staff is nice, especially Chris! If there's any noticeable difference, it's that the barista area is much more spacious than others which allows the staff to work around each other quickly and more efficiently than others. read more

I go in for the bagel and coffee. 4-5 people working (standing idle millennials) and about 7 people in the store (sitting around mostly, no one at the register). This is by far the largest Starbucks I have ever been in. There were different sections of comfy chairs and coffee tables. Additionally, many round tables and stools were availabe too. There was attractive artwork on the walls and the baristas were chatty with the customers. The order app was actually working and my breakfast order was prepared quickly. I have been looking at this delicious tiny red velvet cupcake for the last month every time I come into starbucks. I finally pulled the trigger. The guy carefully wrapped a wax paper around the cupcake and picked it up. He tried to put it into a very fancy box with a cupcake holder at the bottom. (yeah, it's a huge overkill for a tiny little cupcake, but it looks pretty) Unfortunately his father "thick" fingers didn't fit. He did end up touching the cupcake a bit, but that's ok. He is forgiven:-D The red velvet cupcake is as good as any. The cream cheese frosting on top is delicious. You can't beat this mass produced cupcake with a stick. read more

Convenient location, since it is real close to my house. They move very fast here, staff is friendly, and it is always clean. It is still starbucks, so overpriced, and just okay coffee, but for a quick cup, it is not a bad choice. I normally don't write reviews but this really grind my gears. Completely disappointed and offended by this establishment. I'm a new mom and it's very limited to what I can do with a newborn. So I figured on a nice day I would take a walk with my baby to Starbucks. I am not comfortable bringing her in to any place indoors so I assumed I could a curbside pickup (they don't have a drive thru). I waited at a designated spot waiting to get my drink and when the guy came out he basically told me that this wasn't allowed because I didn't have vehicle. What's the difference if you hand me a drink through a window or to me? You're handing me my drink on a tray regardless, and I'm taking it from you. He said that if I want my drink I would have to bring my baby inside. Now if these were different times 100% I would walk in there, wait on line, and get my drink. But in these times where curbside is an available option- what's the difference?? This is a standard Starbucks. The food and cappuccino was fine here. The iced coffee, on my visit, was weaker than other locations. The personnel were friendly and rather quick, which was great. The location was comfortable and spacious. There was different types of seating, perfect for any reason you may come. The cleanliness of the establishment was a little disappointing for 6:30am on a Saturday. It appears they hadn't wiped down the tables or fixing stations from the night before or perhaps they had a rush at 6am when they opened. This may have been a one time oversight, but should still be mentioned. The 2 unisex bathrooms however were clean so that's a good thing. read more

I gave 4 stars for the early morning crew on Saturday because they were actually open and ready at 6am like they were supposed to be. Plus the guy that took my order was friendly and pleasant. Not so much the same on Sunday as I already came from the Starbucks in Mahwah rt 17 because they weren't open on time and when I got here they weren't ready either. Lights were turned on and doors were opened around 610am and that's only because I was waiting outside. They were a bit slower to get started and being a morning person like I am, i like to get my coffee as early as possible. May sound stupid to some but if your supposed to be open at 6am then you should be open and ready at 6am. A few other customers actually left because they couldn't wait the extra 10 minutes or so which should never happen. 4 stars for Saturday and 2 for Sunday. read more

I hit this one up on the occasional afternoon and I'm usually able to find a soft chair open which is a huge in my starbucks book. Prior to this store being remodeled this was one of the best starbucks. It was once cozy and good for socializing with friends. Now you sit right on top of each other, music is too loud, its too cold and is not a good place to relax. The heating/cooling system on the door doesn't work well. It's too powerful making the area cold which is why I don't go to the store on 17 south. I don't know why or who sanctioned this Starbucks store to be remodeled. It was perfect the way it was. The only good thing about this Starbucks was its staff. It's sad because I really use to like this store and use to go 3 to 4 times a week.
