Its tart and semisweet and just sooooooo good if you want a break from coffee, there is ample seating and a strong wifi connection for on the road work. If you shit on Starbucks it's either one of two reasons, (1) they spelled your name wrong and you're likely butt hurt or (2) the employee hates their job and treating you like poop is the side effect of that employees misery. Pompton Lakes Starbucks, after a year of poor customer service treatment that we have pointed out to the assistant manager, I am posting a review and will contact your regional manager. We had hoped to be able to continue to support this location. Many days we take a longer drive and go the Route 23 North Wayne location where we feel welcomed and the food and beverage never needs correction. Unfortunately, I live close to the Pompton Lakes Starbz, which is currently improperly staffed. The nasty employees are a couple of rude people that ruin it for the kind and helpful ones that are there. Some of the staff at Pompton Lakes don't care to read option changes and more importantly are not taught basic customer service skills. When I have complained about an incorrect order or my Venti hot drink being only 2/3 full or my LIGHT ice drink being ALL ice, they are either dour or critical and downright rude and never offer to remake a drink like the former staff always did. Pompton Lakes used to be a wonderful location that we would enjoy staying at and even made friends with some of the staff, meeting outside of starbz to enjoy hobbies together. Please get a new manager for Pompton Lakes who will hire skillful employees that appreciate good customers like us that spend over $25. a day there. In April 2016, a class-action lawsuit was pressed against Starbucks after multiple reported incidents of the company purposely underfilling their latte beverages to reduce milk costs. In March 2018, a California judge ruled that Starbucks must provide warning labels on all coffee products, warning consumers of chemicals that may cause cancer, a requirement by California law which Starbucks was found in violation. The chemical is acrylamide, a carcinogen byproduct of roasted coffee beans found in high levels throughout brewed coffee. After the first phase of the trial, Starbucks may be subject to civil proceeding penalties of fines up to $2,500 per consumer exposed over the last eight years. read more

So, I was having a terrible day and expected some good serotonin from getting a starbucks drink. I order a Mango Dragon Fruit, and when I recieve my drink it has NO DRAGON FRUIT PIECES, that's ok to run out, but they didnt tell me at the drive thru. This is what I got for 4$. Water with sugar. It didn't even taste like the actual drink. This was just outrageous. If they told me that they didnt have the dragonfruit pieces, I would of got a frap. This was 4$, a god damn water and sugar. There's almost always a line. The drive through usually seems worse than inside, but I always mobile order to avoid the wait. Other than that, this is a pretty solid Starbucks. The drinks/food always taste great. It also seems like they have their ordering system down pat. If I could give this location zero stars, I would. My friend and I went to this location after we finished at the gym to study and do homework. We arrived at around 7:30 and ordered drinks then, and that was all we ordered. We stuck to our corner and stayed quiet while doing our homework. At around 9:00, the employees started getting rowdy and started screaming, but we paid no mind to it and continued studying. We left at 9:30, knowing that they closed at 10. We ordered nothing after those 2 drinks at 7:30 so we didnt bother them in any way. On our way out, we both said thank you and have a good night. As we were exiting, an employee started yelling "Kill yourself" repeatedly at us in response. It was unbelievably rude, especially considering we didn't require any of their assistance for the majority of the time we stayed there and did not bother them in any way. It's not like they couldve closed the store if we werent there anyways. I understand the feeling of a customer staying late, since I work in retail, but at least have the decency to talk about customers after they leave. Dunkin on top. read more

I go to Starbucks every day on route 17 in Hasbrouck Heights and the people that work there are very nice and helpful. The last three days I have been in the Wayne area and have gone to this Starbucks. Day one I ordered a vente Frappuccino and asked for it not to be blended well because I like it's slushy and icy. I asked if they could give me a small cup of crushed ice in the side so I could add it to the frapp. I am anemic and a symptom of anemia is the craving to chew on ice. Everyday for the last 2 months I have ordered my frapp the same way. Day one in this location no problem...day 2 the girl working the drive thru snapped at me and refused to add a cup of crushed ice even if I was willing to pay for it because she said it would break their blender?!? I didn't know ice could break a blender but ok!!! All she had to do in that case is to add a little milk and blend some crushed ice and charge me but she refused to help me. Today I spoke to a really nice kid named Sebastian, he was about to take his break but kindly listened to my issue from yesterday and help me resolve my problem!! This Starbucks was slow and the drive thru was down. The staff was pleasant and were moving as fast as they could and this location was immaculate including the restrooms. Definitely one of the better Starbucks I've been to. Only issue I had was my Frappuccino was all liquid not thick. I saw a previous comment about the slow service. Got to McDonald's it's quicker. You don't go to Starbucks for a quick drink. You're supposed to relax and enjoy your beverage and maybe a snack while surfing the net and talking to friends.
