They were also quite chatty, which really added to the warmth and enjoyment of my visit. The location is super convenient, being close to the center, and it's a fantastic spot to grab coffee before heading to the ferry or train. The waterfront view is absolutely stunning, even with the nearby busy street. It's a cozy place, small but with plenty of comfy seating, making it perfect for a relaxing coffee break! :))

Unfortunately you can't use the US Starbucks app here (shouldn't the app be universal? I wish!) Not being able to use the app is annoying as Starbucks doesn't put their full menu on the menu board so you're not sure what you can order. For example, there is no iced coffee, only iced Americanos and iced lattes. Their refrigerated case was out of of stuff all 3 times I went here. As far as food, they have some unique to Netherlands items such as cheesecake (oddly, the slice with strawberry topping is slightly cheaper than the plain one.) It does get extremely busy due to the location but overall they move fairly quickly. Staff was perfect and the only drawbacks are due to Starbucks corporate decisions that make it difficult to order without the app. Also, because it's the Netherlands, there is no plastic and the paper cups aren't waxed - you need to drink your drink quickly because the cup itself starts to feel like it's getting waterlogged and soggy. The service is very fast to takeaway and to hurry your train. Also for vegetarian people there is a lot of choice. You have the restaurant and express which is one the LaPlace. They have delicious healthy smoothies, salads, sandwiches, pizza and little snacks. But also cold drinks, cappucino and tea are part of the company. The personnel is very friendly and helpfull. If you want to bake your egg, they are prepared to do that for you :). Most of the visitors are staff from Schiphol, tourists, daily travel users or business people who are in conversation. Enter the beautiful, multi-story CoffeeConcepts. Close enough to major sites like the Stedelijk Museum, yet set back enough to feel part of a quieter residential neighborhood, this cafe really rejuvenated me. With a smile, they serve delicious teas in large glasses and homemade baked goods that contain a minimum amount of sugar, substituted with ingredients like carrot, ginger, and coconut. Seating at the tables and couch are limited, so you may end up sharing a table. WiFi is free and strong. The space is cosy and light-filled, and the unisex bathroom downstairs was clean. They allow dogs, so you may be sharing your coffee moment with someone's pooch , if that's an issue. I love sitting down in one of their bulky chairs with an interesting book and relaxing with a big cup of chamomile tea. I was even successful to get my Dutch man hooked on Starbucks Coffee. All he drank was illy Coffee, until he met me. He stated Starbucks Coffee was overrated. So, I thought that I would prove him wrong, by buying him a bag of Italian Coffee. After that he was obsessed with Starbucks coffee, he no longer cried out for his European lattes. He soon craved every morning the regular taste of an American latte. Starbucks is good, however on the other hand, expensive but well worth every taste.I guess you pay for what you get! Starbucks Coffee Company continues to lead in brand of distinctive coffee on a global level. It's a good place to stop in for a coffee on your way too or from work, but because it's really busy with people waiting for trains and busses (Sloterdijk is the hub for some low cost European bus lines) it's not a great place to come and camp out with your laptop to get some work done.
