They rotate creative latte flavors like honey lavender, chocolate cherry, and lemon honey and I am always down to try whatever is new. The espresso itself is mild, which works as a base but I personally wish it had a little more backbone. The iced lavender matcha is my personal standout and I will not be taking questions. They also let you build your own combinations, and a recent banana brown sugar iced latte I dreamed up was exactly as good as it sounds. The food punches above typical coffee shop fare. The Beyond sandwich with its sweet heat chipotle aioli is a genuine win, vegan or not. The brown sugar bacon gouda is a household favorite for my family. The baked treats are decent but honestly priced a touch above what they deliver. They are the only coffee shop in the area so the pricing reflects that reality more than the competition. The space is your standard coffee shop Joanna Gaines-esque rustic, warm and comfortable. They feature local art on the walls which I love, though I wish they rotated it more frequently. Easy way to keep things fresh and support the local creative community more actively. Staff is kind, genuinely engaging, and this is a queer safe space, which matters and is always worth naming out loud.

Super cute shop in downtown Plainfield. Super packed so get here early if you want a seat!read more

I have the Cinnamon Kookie Butter Chai Latte and it was delicious, sad they don't offer it in a bigger size cup. Lol. But it's a must try if you are unsure what to get. I wanted to write a review because I worked here for about a month before being suddenly fired…read more The owner is nice, but her husband, who manages everything, created a very uncomfortable work environment. He frequently brought up politics, demographics, and "statistics" at work in ways that felt inappropriate and often came across as biased. It wasn't the kind of environment I expected from a workplace. I personally chose not to engage with these conversations because I was there to work, and I try to keep my personal beliefs separate from my workplace. However, being repeatedly exposed to these types of comments from management made the environment feel unprofessional. I also noticed that he would tell us certain employees had quit, but after speaking with those employees, I learned that was not always what happened. This made me feel like there was a lack of honesty and transparency in how situations were handled. One comment that really stuck with me was when he told me and another young female employee that we'd be prettier if we spoke more intelligently and that men would like us more. We are both very young girls, and that comment was incredibly inappropriate and made us uncomfortable. I was also told that if I came in early every day, I would receive a $1 raise. I did exactly that, and I received the raise on my final paycheck. Just a few days later, I was fired. It was confusing to be recognized with a raise and then immediately let go without being given a meaningful explanation. I was told I was being fired because I supposedly had an attitude with a customer. When I asked what had happened, I wasn't given a clear explanation and was simply told they had decided not to continue my employment. I work hard, take my jobs seriously, and I rarely leave negative reviews because I know everyone is trying their best. I didn't contact them afterward because I felt I had already been treated disrespectfully. After the way I was spoken to and the lack of honest communication, I didn't feel another conversation would have changed anything. As a customer, I also found the food to be average, especially for the price. Before I even worked here, my mom and I had cheesecake from the café on a few different occasions, and every time it had a noticeable freezer-burn taste. For the prices they charge, I expected much better quality. Based on my experience as both an employee and a customer, I would encourage people to support another family-owned café instead.

Well this morning (as I was getting ready to go pick them up) I get a phone call saying "we don't have enough glazed to fulfill your order". Ok well can you make some I can come in an hour or two. The "manager" said we have everything in your order other than 50 glazed so no you can come get the donuts or just forget it . ABSOLUTELY NO APOLOGY! so I went up there to pick up the 73 munchkins (I ordered 150!) and asked what happened what went wrong ? It's such a simple order? And the manager, point blank, told me it was the bakers fault and she came in late! Her exact words were . " you don't have to take them I can sell them to someone else" mmmmm I didn't just drive up here not to get them, but I am very upset that you are not professional and nor apologetic for YOUR MISTAKE! you're the manager you blamed the baker and everyone else, you even blamed me for coming to pick up an incomplete order- actually comical. So all in all - some customer service training should be implemented, other customers were in the store just shaking their heads because of the way she spoke to me! The donuts taste great but the customer service left a bad taste in my mouth.
