If they are wondering why their coffee sales are low. It's because nobody works there. Today I had to ask two employees if anybody was working. After waiting seven minutes, then asking someone, five minutes later two employees appeared, one was training the other. There was a lot of confusion and then they overcharged me by five dollars. Again, if you're going to put a coffee shop in your store, please make sure that your employees aren't just messing around out on the floor and that they know how to do their job.

As with other Colectivo locations, the menu rotates with seasonal coffees and food items. The cold brew with cold foam is my latest go-to and the vanilla cold foam here was just right, not too sweet or overwhelming with vanilla flavor. We grabbed the coffees to go but although the cafe was busy, there was still ample seating because of the large space.

This flat white was absolutely AWFUL. I'm not sure what it was--if the coffee itself was over-roasted, or the milk went bad, or the machine (God forbid) was not clean--but the drink tasted burnt, bitter, highly acidic, and just "off," giving a weird unpleasant sourness at the back of my tongue. It's a good thing Collectivo serves flat whites in their smallest size, because if it had been any larger, I could not/would not have finished it. I'm by no means a coffee connoisseur, but I *am* a bit of a coffee snob. I love a good coffee. I love a well-made coffee. I know good coffee. I typically buy local freshly roasted beans, and make myself a coffee at least 1-2 a day at home. NONE of the coffee I've ever made at home--or that I've had out and about at any other shop--has tasted as bad as what I had at this particular Collectivo. I'm not saying they're all like that, I'm not even saying any other drink at this Collectivo is bad, but I anticipated--and expected--much better. I especially like the pistachio latte. They have a small but quality selection of sweet baked goods to go with your coffee if you're not diabetic or gluten intolerant. Me, I'm diabetic and bigot intolerant but there don't seem to be any bigots in here the times I've been. This mall does have some comfy seating not too far from the coffee shop and pretty good WiFi but none of the seats are set up in a way you would be able to get any work done with or without the coffee. One negative is that although they take credit and debit cards, you can't put the tip on the card, and they are chronically short on cash. The food is good as well, small selection brut yummy things. Service is always good c staff super nice. They have cute shirts and sweaters with their logo. Our favorite drink is the Firestarter coffee which has a little bit of honey and cayenne pepper. It's our go to usually. They have an espresso Negroni on their menu but in all the times I've been here they have never had the ingredients to make it. I needed to install the app before placing my order, and it was incredibly easy to get started. Within a couple of minutes I had an account set up and was able to order and pay. The entire ordering process was very smooth. I love the idea that the system uses geolocation to put your drink in the queue at the right time so it is at the proper temperature when you arrive. Since I was already there, I pulled up to the kiosk and could see the progress of my order. I was briefly confused by some of the language and symbols on the kiosk, but I was lucky that the owner happened to be on site. He came over to chat, as I was the only one there, and confirmed my understanding. Thanks Adrian. When the kiosk indicated my drink was ready, I pulled up to the small building. There are a few essentials available before the beverage window, including trays, stoppers, and straws for anyone who needs them. At the window, a camera reads the QR code from your phone. A small door opens and your drink appears. Each cup is printed with the specific recipe, which is a nice touch. My issue was with the actual drink, a chai latte. It was nicely made. The foam was good, although the texture the drink could have been more "frothy". The temperature was right, and the flavor was mostly there. The problem for me was the sweetness. It was too sweet. I also wondered if the chai mix or concentrate contains an artificial sweetener. I am sensitive to those, and it seemed possible. It's clear that a lot of thought has gone into this concept. Aside from the drink itself, which is of course the whole point, the experience was essentially flawless. Other customers with different preferences may find it to be a great fit. If I came back again, I would probably try the matcha tea latte. PS - after responding to the follow message for my order, and giving a less than perfect rating, I was immediately contacted with a text message. I was able to provide some of this feedback directly. I thought that was a very proactive thing. Speaks a lot to their interest in understanding any gaps or misses.
