Been here several times…read more It's a "nice" place on Pewaukee Lake. The signage is a little confusing, in that it's attached to another business (VeloCity Cycling), but just open the door and walk in. There are plenty of windows, so you know that you're in the right place. There are several different places to sit. Inside by the counter, a glass enclosed patio with a better view of the lake (the sunny can be overly bright and glaring), and outside seating during warmer weather. Got a friendly greeting by the staff, and help with the ordering. Got a couple hot drinks, including a London Fog Latte, and two scones (one blueberry, and another chocolate chip). The drinks were done nicely, with the London Fog including the necessary vanilla, lavender, and extra foam. The scones were good, but definitely not a traditional recipe. These were essentially muffins that were cooked on a cookie sheet and not a muffin tin. Had great muffing texture, not the tender/dry/crumble that you get with a real scone. I did ask, and apparently they make everything from scratch in house. When we arrived, there were just several tables of customers, but within the hour the entire place filled up. It's a popular place, and at times it could be hard to hold a conversation. It's a nice spot, with a great view, friendly staff and well made beverages. Would stop in again.

Stopped in for the first time with a friend…read more Food: Ordered a hot beverage. I got a Mocha and a piece of their coconut cake. Both of them were very good. The Mocha had good flavor, and the right amount of chocolate (sometimes they can taste more like hot chocolate). They warmed up the cake and it was absolutely delicous. It was a good portion, with more than enough to share. My friend got the oatmeal, and that was also amazingly good. The bowl was brimming with oats and all the optional toppings. You like walnuts? There were enough in that one bowl to make a cake! Everything was delicious. My one criticism was that they do not have mugs for the hot beverages. Just not a fan of sitting down for a inside coffeeshop experience with a paper cup. Service: The people helping us out were both super friendly. Explained the different menu choices. They offer gluten "friendly" bakery, and let us know that they try hard to contain any cross contamination.. I don't have a gluten issue, but that was good to know. Gave great service for our entire stay. Atmosphere: The place is nicely designed. Plenty of natural light through the front and side windows. The seating is arranged for different size groups, and it was easy to have a quiet conversation. The design is simple, casual, and very open. It was a relaxing space. Would definitely come back again.

Their staff was very helpful while placing my order (asking if I wanted to add any syrups to my horchata latte and giving their suggestion as well). They did a good job with the steeping, froth, and temperature. Having mugs to serve drinks in is always a good thing, and this time they got that right too. They had a bunch of different muffin options, and they were all gluten-free. I have to admit that the coffee cake muffin was pretty good. But my first choice would still be to have a non-gluten-free scone option. Service: Super friendly service. I did mention my interest in a scone, and they didn't get defensive about it. Instead, they suggested that I might like one of their gluten-free choices. I did tell them that, for a muffin, it was pretty good, and they seemed pleased with that. Atmosphere: It was sunny and relatively quiet inside. A good spot to relax. I wouldn't mind coming back. I would just need to adjust my expectations when it comes to the bakery item choices.
