We came here after visiting the Norton Simon Museum. We were immediately greeted when we walked in. We ordered: iced chai oatmilk latte and a mango dragonfruit refresher, pistachio loaf and cheese danish. The food was good and so were the drinks. Please note that this location does not have a drive thru nor does it have seating inside. There is patio seating and it's not very big. This location is great for to go orders. There is ample parking in a private lot. The ambiance is cool. It's on a busy street but it's not crowded. read more

Went in with my travel cup in hand to order wanted to rinse it out in the bathroom. Have been a rewards member for over 26 years!! While in line I asked the guy at the register if I could have the door code to get into the bathroom. I was surprised to see a door keypad on the bathroom in Pasadena - that's sad. But anyway, he asked me if I had ordered already. I said no, this is my travel mug that I'm going to fill/order coffee with! He said oh you have to order first or buy something first ! You see other reviews with people that had to actually use the bathroom!! So sad. Thank God I didn't have to use the bathroom. I told the staff to F off and I left without ordering. Garbage. I walk in and the first thing I ask for the code for the restroom. The lady stocking the shelf asked me: Are you going to buy something? Are you a paying customer? Then she asked the lady behind the counter for the passcode. First off, if you're an employee, shouldn't you know the code for the restroom? They charge $3.25 for a tall drip. where other Starbucks charges $2.95. Markup in high traffic, okay I get it. No inside tables & chairs for you to sit. I didn't get any food from this particular Starbucks, but I did order a drink called the Pumpkin Cream Chai Latte, made without ice and a large iced water. The drink was amazing, put together with perfection. The service was just as great: quick, friendly, and efficient. There was a line when I arrived, but since I had placed my order through the app, my drink was ready within minutes. The staff were super friendly too. The ambience was what you'd expect from Starbucks: inviting and well-decorated. This isn't my usual location, but I had taken my kids to a nearby park on my day off and decided to stop in for a pick-me-up, since I was starting to feel tired. It's in the shopping center with Vallarta and the Chase Bank on Fairoaks and North Orange Grove in Pasadena. All in all, I'd definitely stop by this Starbucks again whether just for myself or with friends or family. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for a drink. read more

I just left a different Starbucks location and spent probably $20 made it maybe 10 minutes and realized I had to go to the restroom really bad so I came to a Starbucks next door to my PO Box that I visit multiple times a week. The girl at the counter asked me if I was planning on making a purchase before she gave me the code. I told her I just left another Starbucks 10 minutes ago. I have a full Starbucks in the car I could show it to her and she said sorry you have to buy something at this location. I understand restrooms are for customers only but if I literally gave this company money less than 10 minutes ago, and I come to this location literally multiple times a week. I was thirsty on a Saturday morning in late February and decided to do a pick up. I was early and waited for my drink to be ready at 8:25am. Plenty of parking spots in the lot. When I went inside, they gave me white chocolate mocha and the barista apologized. She was nice and gave me the wrong drink and made the right drink. I come here all the time whether it's before work, during my break/lunch, or after work. The staff are always so nice and welcoming. Must be the caffeine haha! This Starbucks is close to a lot of medical facilities. So keep in mind that this Starbucks location can get a little busy. I mainly come here around my break time which is usually around 8:30-9:00am. This is their rush hour. People are either about to go to work or on their break, like me. I give mad props to the staff. They have a lot of orders coming in and they do their very best to make drinks/ food on time. There is plenty of parking here since it's shared with The UPS Store. They are following Covid protocols. Masks are worn and are required, for now. And social distancing is enforced. All in all, I always have the best experience here. It's the staff that makes my day. read more

This Starbucks is a tad small, with limited space for parking. Mainly due to a shared space with various things such as chase bank. There is a parking guard who's always on his phone but at least it gives us a feeling of safeness when it comes to all the recent news on car break ins? Haha. The restroom is extremely disgusting, the floor seemed like it hasn't been cleaned the whole day and it's already 4pm when I went. There was no more toilet paper, and there were paper trash everywhere. Made it uncomfortable to use. Upon entering, after using the bathroom, it kind of made me not want to order anymore due to the disgust I felt upon entering and I left. Seemed like from 6 months ago, Sarah on yelp had similar experiences in the Starbucks. Meaning that this wasn't their first time having unclean bathroom. However, I was greeted by the barista upon entering. So maybe their customer service is great. I love Starbucks but honestly I don't know why this location won't let you use the restroom that clearly works. They have a sign that says "closed" and I saw store workers going in to use it. After buying a drink, I asked one of the workers if I could use the restroom and they said it was closed. I was so confused. I would understand if they were about to close, but it was 5pm (they close at 8pm). I didn't want to make a fuss so I ended up going a block down to the hospital, but this was absolutely ridiculous. I also would understand if it's a "customers only" type of place, but I bought a drink and they still wouldn't let me. At that point, why even have a public restroom if you're only going to allow employees to use it! Very inconsiderate for customers and will definitely never go back to this location! read more

I generally avoid any Starbucks location for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, I always prefer to support independent businesses versus corporate chains. Secondly, Starbucks regular basic coffee is always much too strong and third, if I do come here, I only ever want regular coffee and resent having to wait to get it just because people in front of me have ordered some elaborate coffee drink that take's ten minutes to make. Irritating. Still, I only ever want regular coffee, and Starbucks coffee is ridiculously strong. I'm here now and I asked them for a cup of the lightest coffee they have. They give me Veranda. Terrible. Like drinking bleach. My stomach is now killing me. Maybe Starbucks should also sell antacid tablets. Also, this particular Starbucks (corner of Fair Oaks and California) is located in a borderline thuggish area. Liz and the rest of the staff at this Starbucks on Fair Oaks in Pasadena are remarkable and I had to leave a yelp review. They are so full of positive energy and good vibes and actually make you feel at home when you are there. They remember my order and my name even though I've only been there a few times, but simple things like that make me return. Starbucks is Starbucks but this location is nice. 1) there is a free parking lot with no time limit spaces (there are also spaces with a 30 min limit) 2) it's clean, at least while I was there and 3) the staff is very friendly. I came on a Friday around 4:30 or 5 and it wasn't busy at all. They had a steady stream of customers while I was there but it never got super hectic. There's only 1 table which is occupied when I arrived, but the bar stool area had a lot of space. I was able to stay there and study I disturbed (!!) for a couple hours while I waited for traffic to die down. read more

I know, I know...it's Starbucks. There is a Starbucks in every corner of Pasadena and I have to go ahead and write a review for the one that's not already mentioned on Yelp. For this review I take the chance you Yelpers flocking to this particular location and ruining the experience for me. First of all, I am not much of a coffee drinker, so I am limited to teas and non-caffeinated beverages blended/shaken with soy milk. But, I am not commending this location for its drinks, it's the same as any other Starbucks. I am commending this location for, well, it's location. The other Starbucks locations in this area are too small for four women to get together and have a 'Sex In The City' like reunion and comfortably banter. THIS particular location has an outside patio large enough for the smokers to be on one side and the non-smokers on the other, and yet we can all enjoy the cool breeze. I am a 4-star of this location for its location. Parking is available too. It shares its parking lot with Boston Market. Getting to this parking lot is a bit tricky, so I will allow you to figure it out. Otherwise, its drinks are just like any other drinks, but when you want to meet with friends who are in fact Starbucks fans (my friends have specific preferences to their Starbucks drinks) then I suggest this location be it. read more

She's always so nice and remembered my Name (SHE EVEN SPELLED IT RIGHT THE VERY FIRST TIME!!!)
