I've been a customer at this Starbucks since it opened and have lived in this area for nearly 20 years. Unfortunately, this visit was enough to convince me not to come back. I ordered a Passion Tango Tea and mistakenly assumed it included lemonade. After realizing it didn't, I went out to my truck, looked it up, and then came back inside to ask for help ordering the correct drink through the app. What happened next was incredibly disappointing. Not a single employee offered to remake the drink or help resolve the issue. Instead, I felt completely ignored. The employee who made my drink was cold, dismissive, and acted more like a robot than someone providing customer service. The only thing she seemed capable of saying was, "Have a nice day." Mistakes happen. What matters is how they're handled, and this store handled it terribly. There was no effort to help, no concern for customer satisfaction, and absolutely no appreciation for someone who has supported this location for years. Meanwhile, the Starbucks at 42nd and Jefferson consistently provides outstanding customer service. They are friendly, helpful, and would never have treated a long-time customer this way. This was my last visit to this location. I'll gladly make the extra drive to a store that actually values its customers. read more

HORRIBLE!!! How can these poor employees be set up for disaster???? Having a store in Bermuda Dunes, a large retirement community, with service for mobile orders only???? Not all customers are app savvy, and the app is not friendly for the ways customers like to order specialty drinks. Although this is temporary, this store is only taking mobile orders so if you go, make sure you order ahead on your mobile phone. If you don't have an app and don't want to get set up for the app, go somewhere else. I give a lot of credit to the employees for having to deal with upset customers who just want their morning coffee. They are responsible and showing up, but I blame the management team for not closing this restaurant. The cost of doing business with three employees, and only taking mobile apps is a very and unwise decision. Sadly, these poor employees are getting beat up because of management decisions. The bigger picture is the reason why this decision was made, staffing shortage. I couldn't even order my coffee because the app told me that my syrup was out of stock. When I went back to the employees, they told me it was not. So I had to redo my order without what I wanted, and then they would make it and put it in. The worst service at all the Starbucks I've been to. Apparently when I was there, (on Washington in Palm Desert) they had an "old employee" visiting & the three female baristas were so busy chatting to him while batting their eyelashes, they hardly paid any attention to making drinks efficiently as I watched this all go on for the 15 min I was waiting for my drink. (why would a mgr. let this go on for so long & be acceptable in any Starbucks? )Then, to make it worse....I look on the counter & my drink is sitting there, but my name was never called!! Best customer service. I've never had a bad experience. I go to 3 Starbucks locations nearby and I'm always greeted by name. It feels great to walk in and hear "Hi Kimmie" at every location I visit in my area. She also noticed the special bond I have developed with the employees, and said that she wished she had this same personal experience. When you go to Starbucks everyday like I do and work in customer service yourself, you are usually more understanding, kind, courteous, generous and respectful because you know and understand what it's like to work with the public. So many people lack basic manners and civility these days. Way too many are demanding, entitled and rude. I will never be one of those people so therefore my experience is excellent! Always looking for the positive, while having an attitude of gratitude what could go wrong? I always enjoy a minute of small talk with Danielle, Enrique, Ayden, Dylan and all the other baristas I didn't mention while I wait for my drink. I always mobile order and I love that feature! The app is great. I love earning double stars on particular days, doing the challenges to earn extra stars, because who doesn't love a "free drink"? I know it's not really free because you spend a lot of money to accumulate stars in which you can cash out for the drink of your choice. My drink is an iced caramel macchiato, upside down, almond milk, quad (add shot) with 6-8 pumps of white mocha, and line the cup with caramel sauce. $8.45 It's something nice I get for myself that I truly enjoy. My drinks are always delicious and made to perfection. And if by some chance it's not as great as I hoped for, they'll happily remake it for me. And... These stores are everywhere! And I enjoy trying them all just to make life interestinag. And this store is much like the others. Very clean on the inside and friendly, upbeat staff. I have tried many different kinds of coffee and they always get it right. This franchise does a great job in training their employees. They have a lot of great items for when you are hungry. Used to frequent this location because my best friend lives down the street. The lady that "helped me" today was soooo rude and had a piss poor attitude. I walked in and something was going on between the employees. One of them said they'd be right with me. After watching them talk for a bit it was apparent something was up. Then the person with big glasses and a black hat with long hair in a pony tail began to take my order after NOT washing her hands gross. She was snippy and disrespectful. Horrible customer service...They've refused to take my $100 bill, telling me they didn't have enough $$$ for my change. I was making $16 @ 4:30 pm and they told me they didn't have $84 on the register??? The truth is that for some strange reason they don't want to deal with cash. This place is where I get my morning coffee almost every day, and I do it as mobile order for the convenience of it...but since they are so snobbish towards cash I won't be buying from them any longer! This is the store in the Albertsons / CVS plaza on Washington Street. Parking is easy - you can either find a spot in front of Starbucks or park in Albertson's lot. Store 9745 is amazing. The staff here have a system, and it works. Because I was just curious, I timed my visit the first time I was here. I was in and out in my car in exactly 15 minutes - that was including reloading my gold card and waiting for my drinks! I'm very impressed because I knew they were super busy. They even got my drinks right. Only thing I don't like - no drive thru.. That would have been so helpful because I stop by here often on my way to places. read more

Slowest Starbucks ever. Don't consider this place for a mobile order. Imagine waiting 10 minutes for DRIP coffee ordered on the app. I could have driven to the Varner location, picked up my coffee and come back here in the time it took. About 6 years ago this was one of the best. I remember they were one of the first to walk down the customer line, writing the order on the cup and moving it to the barista before you even got to the cash register. So efficient. Now, their biggest concern seems to be preparing the coffee in some obscure order according to their screen.
