I made the boneheaded mistake of selecting the wrong location with the Starbucks app, showed up and gave a slight attitude when my drinks weren't ready, and then realized my mistake. The barista Ashley was SO KIND, made our drinks immediately, and then told us not to worry and that the mistake happens all the time. The staff was just sitting around talking or pretend to clean took me awhile to order. I ordered a Carmel cold macchiato with sugar free vanilla and almond milk and they did not get any of it right. They used regular milk with I'm lactose so stomach is going to be messed up all day and didn't add any of the sugar free vanilla so it was bland. So won't be coming back to this one. read more

Just went to this Starbucks and got a latte and strawberry Frappuccino. The cashier rung me up incorrectly because when picked up my order I noticed one of my drinks was a small. I mentioned I ordered two large drinks. Without hesitation the barista apologized and very quickly prepared the correct size drink within a few minutes or so. Weak. Freaking. Sauce. This place sucks. Hard. How, you ask? Allow me to illustrate what can only be described as the most egregious retail trainwreck this side of the Sharper Image: 1) Waiting until retirement for a drink. I ordered a 4 shot latte once. It should be ready by the time our 12 year old gets her PhD. 2) "Sorry, we don't have that." This place runs out of staples so often, the menu should be used to tell you what they *DON'T* have. I'm not sure who handles the orders for this place, but I'm pretty sure that they spend most of their time in the back office huffing glue. 3) "Hi. What do you want?" Dude. If "unenthusiastic handjob" had a facial expression, it would be the expression on the face of every employee at this location with whom I've interacted. Eye contact? Nope. Smile? Nope. Courteous demeanor? Nope. The entire staff of this place acts like a cross between a toddler being forced to eat broccoli and a girlfriend that just got a lawn mower for Valentine's Day. The lot of them should be dosed with Zoloft, stat. If you're in Pacifica and have *any* alternative to get your coffee...take it. Trust me, you'll be happier for it. read more

I passed by this Starbucks on my way to Mazzeti's Bakery and I was very disappointed. I ordered my normal drink... an iced vente green tea sweetened. The man taking my order was pretty nice in the beginning. When he asked "sweetened?" I said "yes please!". BUT when I received my drink, I noticed that the cup was marked as "unsweetened". I told the barista that there was a mistake and my drink was supposed to be sweetened. Then the barista rudely said, "Oh but the cup says unsweetened" & the man who took my order quickly added on saying, "I asked you if it was sweetened & you said no". Isn't the customer always right? Why stand there arguing when I clearly wanted it sweetened? So disappointing! Never want to come back here. read more

I'm sick of trying to give this place a chance to get their acts together. I finally got smart using the mobile app thinking that would save me time (bc the lines here are ALWAYS long). First off, I wait for my mobile order at the counter almost as long had I ordered in-store, since you literally need to set off a flare to get ANY barista's attention that your drink is sitting there, getting cold on the counter. (I'm not kidding...these baristas are so dense and introverted they won't look up for a second to give ANY semblance of customer service.) Also, I can't count how many times they are out of product. (And it's not like the region is out...I go to the next closest Starbucks and they have product) so this is clearly a stock issue (you'd think they'd know better). Another huge complaint is two-fold: they are SO inconsistent with their beverages AND God forbid you ask them to remake it! You either get MAJOR eye rolling, they take an eternity to remake or they put your "re-do" back into their queue OR a combination of all three, which by then you're like f-this, I'll take my crappy drink so I can avoid the attitude and time suck. But my biggest complaint by far however is their inconsistency. I order a drink with no water and no foam (a drink I've ordered hundreds of times before). I swear these baristas don't read the cups bc unless I'm not standing there, THEY WILL ADD WATER. It's mind blowing to watch (which is why I cringe doing a mobile order since you literally need to babysit your order in person). But the "no foam" absolutely blows my mind; not just bc they blatantly disregard my request, but should they add foam, it is a GOOD 2 inches of it, so, for someone who didn't even want it in the first place, once you skim all of it off, your cup is not even 75% full, which is a total rip off claiming they give you a 12 oz drink for a tall size. Should you remind the barista that I didn't want the foam, they just skim it off and hand it back. It's like "gee, thanks for making it even MORE obvious you are ripping me off for the 12 oz, NO FOAM drink I originally asked for." This place specifically brings out THE WORST in all things bad about Starbucks franchises. Since they are a dime a dozen, spare yourself and drive the extra 4 miles for a good Starbucks. (Don't get me started about the time they made my drink out of spoiled milk either.) read more

Literally just made a Yelp account just to share my horrible experience(s) with this Starbucks that's so bad, that the store manager has to pretend to be a fellow Yelper and review the place just to make it seem like a good store. Yes, you read that right. Mark N, who posted a previous review for this place, is the store's manager. First, I've been to this Starbucks every once in a blue moon, about 10 times since the beginning of this year and everything went swell. I left on a business trip for a while and returned last month. About two weeks ago I decided to come in during the evening. Let me just say, if you want to drink coffee while listening to obscene, explicit rap music coming from all the store's speakers, then this is the place to go. The N-word was dropped numerous times while a young Philipino looking girl and a large obtuse gentleman who were working at the time didn't even do anything about the inappropriate music. Getting my drink was horrible too, the large young man kept on wiping on his apron instead of washing his hands while making my drink!!! If good hygiene is a requirement to work here, then homeless people turn in your applications. Lastly, this is what really brought me here to write this review. Last weekend, I tried to give the place another shot by going in during the morning. However, I prepared myself beforehand and mobile ordered, hoping to go in and pick up my drink and leave, instead of being in that dreadful place for more than five minutes. Can you guess the look on my face when I had to wait almost 10 minutes for my drink AFTER walking in AFFFTTEEERR mobile ordering 15 minutes prior to walking in?! Everyone was moving sluggishly with no purpose of movement and it seemed like none of the employees care about making their customers, who are the bread and butter of their paychecks, happy. I advise everyone to not come to this place if they want a simple trip to the coffee shop. Bad management and poor training is what Oceana Starbucks is prominent in. read more

I keep hoping this Starbucks will get better. Its extremely inconsistent and half the staff seems to know what they are doing and the other half won't ask questions. This location is closer to home but I'm going to try to go back to the one at Fairmont shopping center more frequently. Also, to the barista that made me literally a green tea latte, please learn your drinks. I forgot to taste my drink until I got home. As others have stated, we come in for coffee not a musical concert. It's WAY to loud to talk. I had to get my coffee and leave. I have NO idea how everyone studies in that atmosphere. So, this new Starbucks opened right around the corner from my house. I was so excited that we actually had a Starbucks in Manor!!! I eagerly walked in and approach the brista by the name of Ronnie at the cash register. I ordered an iced Venti nonfat latte with an add shot. After I ordered my drink I asked Ronnie to put the venti coffee into a Trent a cup with extra ice. Ronnie then told me that I was not allowed to have the venti in the Trent a cup with extra ice. She said it was a corporate thing that they weren't allowed to give their cups with extra ice. So after that discussion I paid for my drink and I walk down to the other end of the counter where the barista was making my drink. I've been asked the barista to put extra ice in my cup. He asked me which coffee was mine and I told him mine was the ice latte with an add shot. Then from across the cafe Ronnie yells out that I need to pay for my extra shot. I told her I already have paid for the extra shot and she said no I didn't. I again told her I ordred it with an add shot. Meanwhile everybody in Starbucks is looking at us and Ronnie continue to make a scene and act like I was trying to steal the shot from Starbucks. I was completely appalled humiliated and embarrassed. I immediately called corporate from my car while sitting in front of the Starbucks because I was absolutely upset. When I spoke to corporate they were very apologetic and they said she had no right to talk to me like that and that there was no issue and having a venti in the Trent a cup with extra ice!!! Other than that the staff there are very friendly, very nice and Mark is very friendly and professional!!! Even the guy that opens on Mark's on his days off!!! After that, I think I've been in that Starbucks maybe 2 or 3 times. And it's sad because it's like three blocks from my house and I don't know who I'm going to run into when I go in there because I definitely don't want to see Ronnie!!!!!! read more

After some growing pains, this Starbucks location has hit its stride. All the baristas are very nice, and service is efficient. The app makes it even easier to place your order, grab, and run. If you stay, there are lots of places to plug in. My only criticism is that they close both the men's and ladies room at the same time to clean. I almost peed my pants because I had to wait so long even though the person cleaning was in the men's room the whole time. read more

Well, I must say how impressed I am with all of the staff here. I've been coming here every day for two weeks. I hear staff greeting regulars, new guests and encouraging conversations with everyone while they're waiting for there order which takes a brief minute. Fast!!! I've seen how hard the staff here works at making everyone's day special. Mine included. I'm not getting paid to say this btw, nor am I a secret shopper. I have the usual every morning. Venti Green tea Emperors Cloud and Jade Green which was a genius recommendation. Everyone here is absolutely sweet and very professional. My favorite is Alley. I'm unsure if I spelled her name correctly please forgive me. She's so vibrant and enlightening. Very humble with amazing hospitality. Everyone takes the time to be personable with all the guests that come in. It's my favorite place to be. I haven't liked hanging out at coffee shops due to busy employees. I totally understand. However, the staff here does a great job executing great service and each employee has their own happy personality, who wouldn't want to hang out to study here? Or pass time having a great drink and snack? Great place to be where everyone takes the time to get to know your name. read more

Im reposting this review written August 13, 2016, as Yelp believes that I've written the review for another location. This review is for Starbucks, 549 Oceana Blvd, PACIFICA, CA. I'm so grateful that there's a Starbucks in the neighborhood. I don't have to go up to fog plaza or down to Linda Mar. Being so grateful why would I only give it two stars? -- The customer service lacks big time! When I come in asking for a granita the tall white-guy says, "we don't have any." I walked out because there was nothing else that I wanted. I did this another day and received the same answer from a young Asian girl who was working with that same guy; again, I left. This is so frustrating because I've spent a lot of money on reloading mine and other's cards at this same location. So one day when I was at another location (in SF), I ordered the same thing, a granita; his response, "I'm sorry we don't have any of that tea brewed right now, if you can wait a few minutes I can make one for you." Wow, what a different response. I told them about walking into a relatively new Starbucks in Pacifica asking for the same drink and told him what this guy said. He said that they are probably lazy at that location and you should speak with the manager about it. If anyone does that to you at Starbucks, you should just tell them that you'll wait and make them work. I feel bad for the person who bought this franchise because they don't know how poor of a working staff they have. Strange thing, I just spoke with the manager who was recently sent here to change things up. His name is Mark, has a pleasant disposition, and is a really nice guy. He suggest that I post this review because it is my experience. My hope is that the service will turn around right-quick because I really am grateful to have a Starbucks in the neighborhood and would like to update my review in a few months. read more

Sunday 8-18-2019 I always get my coffee and undertow in this establishment particular in Sunday there lots of young workers working. Take 10 minutes to make my undertow cause only one girl making all the orders while the rest of the crew was talking and doing nothing. No napkins the countertop is dirty no one even bothered to check if everything set up to be. Poor service. Tell your crew if they are busy. Try to help the girl who's making all the order to make it smoothed so people don't have to wait for a long time. read more

This has been my favorite location for at least a couple years now, and this is coming from someone who has seen a lot of sirens! After leaving a glowing review on my survey from my recent visit, I thought it was only appropriate to share the love on Yelp! I have yet to see the inside of this location anything less than clean and anti-COVID friendly. There was a nice addition of outside napkins to ensure less germ sharing on door handles, appropriate areas are blocked off and mobile pick ups are a breeze. Food and products for purchase are always nicely displayed. There are so many compliments I could give the lovely baristas but I'll keep it short and sweet - they are amazing!!! My drinks (and occasional food) are not only made and prepped quickly, which is important since this spot is on route to my job, they're consistently delicious! I am always greeted when I walk in and am treated with a warm, friendly manner. I feel bad for not knowing her name, but there is currently a girl with purple hair who not only recognized me with my app name - which is not exactly easy considering we wear masks now - but had such a sunny disposition, she (and my tasty drink!) really made my morning :) A sweet, positive interaction can really set your day right! Many, many thanks to all the baristas, I and the other positive reviews that I agree with commend you all, and your hard work! The baristas that work here are rude. I've had multiple times when they get my drink wrong and I say something about it and they try and tell me I'm wrong. It's a Peach Citrus White Tea Lemonade. I order it all the time and twice it's come a completely different color and somehow they were right and I was wrong? And then give me attitude about making it again and when I even thank them for remaking it, they just walk away with a pissed off face. Unprofessional. read more

Quite possibly the worst Starbucks experience ever. Very slow service - took me 25 minutes to order and get my drink. Avoid at all cost.

The service here has been fine for me. I usually get decaf and usually they agree to make it for me. My complaints are with the internet speed which was 0.33 Mbps download speed the last two times went here - it was faster many months ago so I hope this is just a temporary problem. Another issue is the music which can be loud sometimes and is rock and roll or rap - not very conducive to working or studying which is 80% of the patrons by my count. read more

Since it's been opened I've been in a few times and my daughters a dozen times give or take. For the few times that I've ordered drinks, they were more than exceptional. However just the other day I order a grande very berry hibiscus. What was made was a water with lightly flavored very berry hibiscus. I was a tad bit disappointed. Leave it to this Starbucks to take forever or get your order wrong. Used the app to order ahead and ended up standing around for 10-15 minutes. Employees seem disorganized. I noticed there was a letter addressed to customers from the manager on the counter where he acknowledges the issues. It's one thing to acknowledge it it's another to take action. 11:45 am I wandered in here after not being able to find a parking spot in the Linda Mar shopping center. Tried to order a cup of the dark roast and I get the "sorry, we don't have that." I didn't even get it'll be a few minutes while we brew more. I was under the impression they brewed dark roast until noon. I guess I was mistaken.
