I visited this Starbucks location today around 7:15 a.m. with my daughter. She recently started school in the area due to my work commute, and we stopped in to pick up a quick morning snack before class. This was our first visit to this location. When we entered, the store was busy and the employees appeared occupied with the morning rush. I understand that busy periods can be demanding, and I am generally very patient when it comes to waiting for service. However, when it was finally our turn at the register, the cashier did not acknowledge us with a greeting or even a brief statement that he would be with us shortly. When he eventually assisted us, the interaction began with a blunt "What can I get you?" rather than the basic courtesy and customer engagement that I have come to expect from Starbucks. I ordered a croissant for my daughter. After paying, we sat down while the cashier warmed the pastry. As he continued serving other customers, I observed a noticeable difference in his demeanor. He greeted and interacted warmly with other patrons, displaying a level of friendliness and attentiveness that was absent from our interaction. When several pastries were ready at the same time, the cashier bagged them and handed one to the barista to place on the pickup counter. The barista set it down without calling a name. The cashier then personally carried the remaining pastries across the café and delivered them directly to another customer seated nearby, wishing them a good day. To do so, he walked past both my daughter and me twice. Despite our order apparently being ready at the same time, we were not offered the same courtesy or service. Instead, we continued waiting until he eventually made eye contact with me and informed me that my order was sitting at the pickup counter. What left me disappointed was not a delayed pastry or a rushed interaction. It was the inconsistency in how service was provided. If customer names are typically called when food is ready, why was ours not? If employees are willing to personally deliver items to seated customers, why were we overlooked when our order appeared to be ready alongside the others? The contrast between how we were treated and how other customers were treated was difficult to ignore. I rarely leave negative reviews, and I do not make accusations lightly. However, this experience left me feeling unwelcome and less respected than other customers in the store. As women of color in a community where we are often in the minority, these experiences stand out. Afterward, I reviewed other online feedback for this location and found several reviews from individuals who described similar concerns regarding how they were treated. I am sharing this experience not out of anger, but out of concern. Starbucks has built its reputation on creating welcoming spaces for all customers. I hope the management team takes this feedback seriously, reviews customer service expectations with staff, and works to ensure that every guest receives the same level of courtesy, acknowledgment, and respect regardless of who they are. read more

Oceana Starbucks in Pacifica has recently undergone a makeover inside. Looks better than it did before. More comfortable chairs than before. However, there is some negatives with this makeover. Gone is the socials board that they used to have. Hopefully they bring it back. No attention was paid. Some of the existing counter work. You can still see it. Scraped. None of the electrical outlets in the customer area were redone. This means you still have the same crappy electrical connections with the plugs falling out as you did before. Outside tables were not redone. Whoever contracted to do the painting inside could have at least done painting outside of the handrails and the tables. Bathrooms who are not redone. Sink still needs some mechanical work Internet here is still sloth shit slow as it ever was from the opening day, until this very time on June 15th. 2026. If you need to do any kind of real work then bring your own hotspot, or go to a completely different location. Some of the lighting fixtures remain color mismatched. This Starbucks is located at Oceana & Manor, right next to Oasis Vietnamese Restaurant. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot. It's a decent size store with an "open" feel to it because the tables are all against the wall. Tables inside were actually available when I stopped by ; I'm used to seeing all tables occupied at most other Starbucks. I guess not as many people come to this location to camp out and work/study. There is a bit of outdoor seating, but it is not very inviting as Pacifica is usually overcast and all you get to see is the parking lot. I don't know why the Starbucks stores in Pacifica close early; this one and the one at Hickey near Skyline both close early. I came to this location, at Oceana & Manor, because they were accepting mobile orders. For some reason, the Starbucks at Hickey near Skyline did not accept mobile orders, which was a bummer because I was closer to this location. I placed a mobile order here for a hot venti Blonde Vanilla Latte. I didn't see my drink in the pick up area ... because there was an iced venti Blonde Vanilla Latte waiting for me at the mobile pick up area and I didn't even look at the cold drinks when I knew mine would come in a white opaque cup. The Barista asked me my name and found the iced venti latte with my name on it. I told her I ordered a hot latte, she looked at the label, apologized and remade my drink. We were on our way back from a nearby hike when I decided I needed a refreshing pick me up to quench my thirst. We stopped at this Starbucks that shares its parking lot with a neighboring plaza. Immediately the duo of dragon fruit drinks caught my eye as they were advertised front and center. I opted for the Dragon Drink since there was coconut milk in it and I'm kind of a sucker for that. There is caffeine in this drink which I think comes from the Refresher component of the drink. I actually had no idea what this was supposed to taste like when I ordered it...it just looked pretty. The drink was very fragrant to sniff and tasted pretty good. Just kinda sweet and tropical all around. The drink was served in a sippy cup with lid for those of you who have sworn off disposable straws. The washrooms actually had two stalls which is pretty rare for a Starbucks these days. My Starbucks is the best Starbucks. The employees here are great. They are hardworking and very fast and always take care to get my order right. They are friendly and most of them know me by name and frequently ask how I am doing. I love that they are allowed to include their personalities in the way that they dress and wear their hair.
