I highly suggest that you avoid this location. They always make the worst drinks. It doesn't matter what drink you order, they all make it wrong. I've order hot drinks or cold drinks they all taste awful. When I go to Serramonte Mall their thinks are made just like the picture, taste way better and don't look like someone just shaken my drink. I love coming to this Starbucks because it's just up the street from where I work. It's very easy to grab a drink before heading to work. However, lately it seems lole the baristas are very inconsistent on making drinks...I mean, how hard is it to make a toffee nut- almond milk- hot cocoa? If it's on your menu, you should know how to make it, right? The only ones who make it right are Jose, Armando, and Allen (I think that's his name) - 5 stars for them. They always make it right and it tastes the same every time. A word of advice to the other baristas, maybe get more training on making drinks off the menu or maybe everyone go through another round of training so your drinks are consistent with whoever makes it. It's just always disappointing when I get my drink and it doesn't taste the way it should. read more

Order here 3 times and their drink taste good. I like their drink but I don't like their straws because they give paper straws. The other Starbucks give us plastic straws. I also notice they don't give you the plug for the hot coffee and the other Starbucks gives the plug for the hot coffee. They got a good amount of free parking outside. The workers are friendly and also give me a welcome vibe. read more

If Starbucks cared about their brand, they would close this location ASAP. This place is near where I live and I have been several times. I don't want to, but it's close and my wife likes their tea - and when there I think - it can't be as bad as last time. Yet, they continue to amaze with their ability to lower their quality. How do you make coffee taste like this? Are you using the grounds multiple times? Did you use a dirty sock as a filter? Also, the setup is awful. Cramming all drink orders into a tiny space against the wall with the cream/sugar station right behind is just poor design. I love this place! It's definitely my version of the bar Cheers!! They know me and they know my drink...mine and my husbands actually. They are super nice and have quickly become a part of my day. I'm always greeted with a warm smile and a hot coffee and recently a warm toffee cookie as well!! My drink of choice is a: grande soy misto in a venti cup with 6 pumps if white chocolate, caramel drizzle and extra extra whipped cream (with more caramel drizzle for good health)! I've tried getting my drink at other Starbucks locations and unfortunately I'm usually very disappointed. So much so that I tend to drive 6 miles out of my way passing at least 4 Starbucks on the way to this particular location. I come twice a day and yes, I'm officially hooked!! Yummy yummy I know a good many people frequent this location only, which can sometimes mean they have a line out the door. Be patient because they are worth it and although the line long, it's not usually a very long wait. Must faster than getting back in your car and heading to the next nearest Starbucks with just as long a line and not a good customer service. Plenty of other perks to becoming a regular, don't take my word for it. Go check them out. Say hi if you see me. Lol read more

Decent bucks. Fills a void . It's where the fog is and is close bye. Nothing exceptional. The people are not super friendly. Kinda just serving coffee, but if the reason you come in is for coffee and that's all here is where you go. Nestled in the corner of fairmont plaza. Next to the dollar store and SAMs Chinese kitchen. For some reason, even when my order is just a regular tall coffee, Gellert Marketplace always has me waiting. The grande steamed milk that I ordered via mobile app was okay. I can't review anything else because the other items we wanted to order were sold out. As far as the three employees who were working behind the counter when we visited - far from okay. There was a customer patiently waiting for her order down towards the right side of the wall, so when she picked up her two drinks I moved down to wait for my order - which by the way I thought might be there already because the eta said only a few minutes. Waiting, waiting. The three girls are looking at us but no greeting. There's one customer at the counter placing an order with one of the employees, and one just one other person sitting alone. Finally after a few minutes I show my order to Wednesday Addams and I ask her if I'm at the correct location to pick up my itty, bitty steamed milk. Her: "Yea" Goes to look for my itty grande milk behind the counter and slides it across the counter to me. I wish it tipped over. They're so snobby, and pretty good at ignoring customer(s) patiently waiting in a super, non busy Starbucks location that I won't ever visit that old location again. Starbucks did something right and placed them at this location, because there's probably no way they'd stay afloat at the modern and busy locations. read more

Passable Starbucks. But I have to say to SB over by to Mollie Stone's in San Bruno is better. This Starbucks is somewhat smallish and does not have but a couple of outlets. This Starbucks location is wonderful! The staffs are high energy, kind and able to create a special synergy with the customers. The reason I'm only giving 1 star is because I ordered a tall pumpkin latte and the barista only filled the cup 3/4 of the cup... It took me awhile to notice this location right off the Skyline Blvd and Hickey, but it's actually the most convenient pit stop for Starbucks on my drive from SF to RWC. It's in the Lucky's shopping center and there's plenty of parking, unlike most of the SF locations. Too bad it isn't a drive-thru. This location has their breakfast sandwiches, bathrooms, Top Pot doughnuts, and effective shades to block out the sun. It's a smaller location. The store was on the dirty side but I'm not sure if that's a usual state or an aberration. I came back during a weekday morning. It was cleaner and there wasn't much of a morning coffee line. But on subsequent visits, the morning line was very long. It's tough to get back onto Skyline (long backup) during morning commute hours. read more

I always get a bitter taste in my mouth when I think of my first and last experience at this particular location at the Fairmont Plaza. I am not referring to the taste of their extremely dark roasted coffee either. I am a no frills coffee drinker when it comes to Starbucks, so I generally order a straightforward grande iced coffee. Talk about an uncomplicated beverage order. As I proceeded to the narrow beverage pick-up area, which was cramped AF, I expected my Simpleton beverage to be ready in a minute or two, as there were only two other beverage orders in front of me. When I observed two patrons that were behind me in line receive their beverages, the animosity in me was magnified. For a brief moment I considered the possibility that the barista may have lost my order, but after one more patron received their order, one of the baristas finally called out my order and she exclaimed that it was, 'slightly out of order.' A bit of an understatement. This location is not understaffed and it is not a high-volume location, so I am baffled by my irksome experience. Since the staff LAGS in generating beverage orders, the confined pick-up area ought to be expanded. Staff efficiency is critical in coffee companies. My husband and myself went to this Starbucks last night and left completely disgusted by their customer service . My husband wanted something that wasn't shown on the menu and already the cashier woman look irritated with us trying to order other than what they shown . She asked us to hurry up and sighed some more . When my husband told her we're looking it up she demanded he pick something else because there was a "line". Mind you there was maybe 5 people Behind us . I am sorry but people can wait. But that is NOT how you speak to anyone customer how dare you ! I love going to this place. I basically go every day since I moved here. Every morning around 7 am, I ordered my drink from my app and they always have it ready for me before I get there. My drink is always perfect!!! less milk. Everyone there is so friendly. There were a few times that a new Barista did not make my drink right forgetting some Syrup but whenever I mentioned to Jose. I love this Starbucks! It was my home away from home when I didn't have wifi. The place is always clean and has a lot of seating available. I do wish they had some outdoor seats for those sunny days though. The staff is friendly and has never gotten my order wrong. Staff is friendly. There are 3 baristas that remember my order and just ask me "the usual?". It makes me feel good that they remember my order, like I am a valued customer, not just 1 of 500 people they see that day. I bring my 2 year old in there and we sit to eat small treats and drink our iced tea. She is usually great, but there are those days she makes a complete mess. The staff never makes me feel bad, and tell me not to worry, they will take care of the mess. Far too many times, I am made to feel bad/embarrassed by restaurant/cafe employees when my daughter's seat is covered in crumbs....but NEVER at this spot. This store has some new tables and layout. This review is for the staff more so than the coffee, because we all pretty much know what Starbucks tastes like now unless we live in a prison of non-corporate caffeine bliss. Not only do they know my drink when they see me, they also know it when they see my mother, boyfriend and best friend. I'm a very picky consumer and they always allow me to make the extra little tweak that makes going to this specific location so awesome. The line moves fast, everyone is so friendly and personable and everything is pretty well stocked. I've been to a ton of Starbucks from San Diego to Seattle, and this one is by far the best. Some people have bars where everyone knows their names, I have baristas. And no nasty hangover to go with it. read more
