Terrible quality and defensive service I recently visited this location and ordered two venti drinks: an Iced Ube Coconut Cream Shaken Espresso and an Iced Double Berry Matcha, both with light ice. Unfortunately, both were a massive disappointment. The Shaken Espresso barely had any ube cream on top. When I politely pointed out that it looked like it was missing the ube, the barista got defensive and snapped that "it's just foamy." If a drink calls for cream and comes out as pure foam, standard customer service means discarding it and remaking it right--not serving it anyway and arguing with the customer. To make matters worse, my second drink (the Double Berry Matcha) barely had a trace of strawberries in it. It tasted like plain matcha. I didn't want to be a pest in front of people waiting behind me, so I didn't demand a remake, but for the price Starbucks charges, this is unacceptable. They remodeled this location a while back, but they clearly need to spend less time on the decor and more time on employee training. Avoid this location if you actually want what you paid for. read more

Another friendly and efficient SB location! The drawback is small parking lot and no drive thru available, but they have to operate within the constraints of their location, so can't blame them for that. On the plus side, you're not competing with the same drive-through customers if you walk or dine in. Staff is super nice and drinks always prepared fast and accurate. read more

A nice upgraded Starbucks that sits on a corner strip mall, across from Main Street Mall. The downside, upfront, is very limited parking. The service with Lauren was amazing! She is cheery and knowledgeable about the drink and food menu and offers great suggestions. My daughter went with the brown sugar latte and loved it! The order status menu display is a nice touch along with the long, wide rows to hold orders once they are complete. Rewards system through their app and fun merchandise selection. Great, bright and remodeled Starbucks that is close to the hospital complex (CHOC, St. Joe's) just steps away... This is usually my go-to spot if I have a early morning. Despite how busy their morning rush is, the team is prompt and efficient in greeting customers as you walk into the store, taking and fulfilling orders. I imagine mobile orders are one of their biggest streams of customers - since they have a dedicated counter and digital board - that updates you in real-time where your order is. I can literally place my order via the Starbucks app once I park my car - and my order is waiting for me within minutes after I walk in. Coffee and food choices is consistent - food is warm and fresh - no complaints there. Parking can be a bit messy in the morning - I just drive and park near the Subway, since despite being open 24 hours - I've never seen that side of the plaza busy early in the morning. Crew is friendly and efficient. Restroom requires a code. I've never tested the wifi here since I've always stopped by just to grab breakfast before heading into work. They do have seating throughout the spacious lobby. Great stop! read more

Awesome Starbucks location that doesn't have a drive thru but offers mobile orders and equally awesome cafe experience to catch up on some emails or comfortably drink my favorite cup of coffee with a pastry. The cafe is spacious with plenty of tables and volume...though no comfy chairs. The baristas when I visited around lunch time were friendly and got my order out to me super quick. Not bad, but not good. My usual drink tasted nice which I really appreciate because there's nothing worse than when the barista makes your drink wrong. It also looked really pretty. The service was lacking, however, because it took a while to order as well as wait for my drink. I think it's because they prioritize mobile orders rather than orders that are made in-person. The shop has a lot of tables and chairs for doing work, but it was a bit messy. There were chairs askew and tables haven't been wiped down. Overall, not the worst location that I've been to but definitely not the best. read more

The place wasn't clean. I was here long time ago and now looks different. It was dusty, where the napkins are with the sun you can see the dust. Also 3 people working apparently not enough to give a good service. When they gave us the drinks, the name was wrong which is not a surprise Lol. But we asked for bagels they didn't provide a knife to spread the cream cheese. For the drinks they didn't gave us straws. I had to request those utensils from them. If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. I bought something 30 minutes prior and simply needed to wash my hands, but Jacob refused to give me the restroom code, saying I had to make another purchase, absolutely ridiculous. I walked in and it was not too busy, ordered my drinks on the app and they were about ready. I was only missing my rice bar that you see in the picture LOL. Everyone kinda seemed to be in their own world, so there was no real greeting and it was more like, grab and go type of environment. Wow! Things have really changed since the last time I came here! Barista (Mariah) was quite edgy! Very unusual for a SB barista! I actually apologized to her for catching her on a bad day - bit she could care less! Which I was then disappointed that I even bothered! I felt like even the order takers didn't bring their A-game. Was kinda bummed I went against my best judgement and came to this location. Won't do that again! When I was leaving I saw a sign that said "One positive thought in the mornings can change your whole day" --- You may want to teach your team to practice what your preach. Always good service. The only complaint is when the security guard is not on duty, the homeless overrun the outside and inside. We have purchased food and drink for them but most refuse and only want money probably for drugs and alcohol. It is unsafe as some transients are super high on meth and/or mentally ill and some are violent. I wish they had the security guard during all operating hours. Terrible experience. I stopped by for an espresso, but needed to use the restroom first. I asked for the code and was asked, whether I would be buying something. I said I will but need to use restroom first. My conversation with barista abruptly interrupted Lauren, who said she was a manager and I have to purchase something first in order to be able to use restrooms. I frequent Starbucks almost daily but I have not experience such rude behavior and terrible customer service yet. I think I will look for different coffee chain for my coffee breaks. Stopped by on a weekday at 1:30pm, expected a full parking lot but found plenty of open spaces. The store was super inviting, bright, mellow music, clean, and a beautiful mural on the wall. Small selection of fun colored cups and coffee to purchase. The staff was AMAZING! Starbucks isn't my go-to only because I love supporting the "niche" and smaller coffee shops. However, Starbucks being Starbucks does everything you could want and more. Great tasting drinks and snacks with friendly staff. The mobile app for rewards is also a must for any Starbucks goer. This location is great -- only downside could be lack of drive thru but even though, this location is convenient to freeway access and the people who work there are great! I am so glad one of my walkable Starbucks is now reopened during the challenging COVID-19 time! This is my second usual Starbucks. My primary usual Starbucks is still closed because it is inside MainPlace Mall... *sad face* I used to come to this Starbucks when I would be en route to work an event or on my way to go somewhere in general. It is a sizer easy location to do a mobil order. Parking is usually readily available. The people that work here and create the coffee magic are nice and sweet. One of my favorite batista (Michael) relocated to this one from the MainPlace Mall one. In a way, I need to go to this Starbucks more. And some of the people here would work at the mall one, so it is like one big happy coffee family! With that said, I do love this Starbucks too. The only reason why they are getting a 4-star review is because a handful of times they messed up on my mobile order. Instead of heavy cream, they give me regular 2% milk or half and half. This location is off of Main street in a busy part of town (across from the mall, off the 5 and 22 freeways and walking distance to CHOC and St Joseph Hospital), with a small parking lot, but they're super efficient and I've mobile ordered here and they either bring my drink out right away or when I go inside my drink is always ready and tastes great.
